Small overpriced portions of mediocre food. Uninformed waiter A real disappointment
Great Service, simple atmosphere and mediocre food. I ordered roman artichokes for $18, it was two small open artichoke hearts and some crispy fennel. It was good but pricey. My entrée was soggy brisket and even soggier paparadelle pasta. My sister had a dry piece of bouncy salmon. My husband has the Veal Milanese, it looked great and tasted just as good. Our desserts were great. The service was professional and friendly. The owner was so very nice and caring.
Nice Saturday Brunch
The egg white omelette with mushrooms was delicious.
My bloody mary was done well.
The hostess was very attentive throughout the meal.
She was very accommodating about our changes to the menu.
Can't wait to return
Delicious food well prepared and served. Entree portion appropriate size. Appetizer of eggplant parmigiana style could have been bigger for the price, or that size (which was sufficient) but lower cost
Wine list extensive but pricey
Food was excellent.
I ordered the pork chop special. I asked what the chef’s preference was and I was told “medium” so that’s how I ordered it. It came out way over cooked and tough. They did take it back and replace it with an order of rigatoni and meatballs which was fine. The other meals at our table were fine.
The reason I only gave 3 stars to service is:
First, the server tried to put the dishes down in front of the wrong diners in every case.
Second, the server brought out 3 entrees; then we waited several minutes for the next 2; and another few minutes for the last entree.
I also gave only a fair rating for value since the pasta portions were small relative to their prices . For example, my son counted 16 pieces of rigatoni for $16. Ridiculous.
Morso must do a better job in the quality of its meat and/or the quality of its preparation; adjusts its menu prices to reflect the portion sizes or vice versa; and train its staff as to the proper way to serve. Only then, it will be considered a true gem in the Sutton Place area; a neighborhood in need of more restaurants of the caliber that Morso potentially can be.
Food was out of date his world!

Frequent diner. Consistent. Good food and good service
This was the best meal I had in the 4 days I visited New York City. The tuna tartare was so yummy and my second dish of truffles and pasta was outstanding. I also had the ribeye thinly sliced on a skillet topped with arugula salad . And for dessert I had the upside down tangerine polenta cake. Great food at reasonable prices.
Morso was the perfect choice for our family brunch. We were seated in a quiet area. The menu is varied and the food was excellent. Prices are reasonable.
Had dinner with a party of six and everyone enjoyed each part of their meal, which is rare. The staff/service were very welcoming and professional. Among the best meals (for the price) that I have had on the UES, especially Italian fare. I would say it is now our "go to" restaurant.
I love Morso and go every time I can. The food is so tasty and beautifully prepared. A must visit.
Morso is a reliable, never disappointing experience.
The pasta is as good as any in the city.
The3 service is friendly and familiar
Always a good meal with attentive service. Love the popovers and the chicken dishes
Never disappoints. My favorite place to entertain.
Not your ordinary Italian restaurant. We loved that several of the entrees could be ordered in 1/2 portions, as well as full. The food was well-prepared, the waitress was knowledgeable about portion sizes, & we opted to try a few appetizers, & I had 1/2 entree size.
We went for my Mom's birthday and had a lovely time. Staff was friendly and accommodating and the food was very good--had a lovely relaxed meal
Always solid. I think the best consistent Italian in this neighborhood and service is always spot on.
great neighborhood spot. Excellent menu. Homemade pastas. Worth the drive, the walk, the effort, the money. John Carlo a wonderful waiter.
Fabulous neighborhood gem!
Courteous and professional staff.
Can't wait to return!
I have been coming to Morso for years. The food is sensational Northern Italian. The service is excellent. There are no negatives at all.
From the moment you walk in you are made to feel welcome. After a slow start, sat for 15 minutes before anyone came over, the evening turned memorable. Jean-Carlo was an outstanding waiter. His recommendations were spot on. Always there to check on us, making sure we had everything we needed.
Pino is the best — some of the tastiest food in town and he knows how operate a restaurant - truly the consummate professional.
The staff is amazing too - knowledgeable, friendly and attentive.
Great neighborhood place!
Much better than last time.
Amazing as usual!! Pino is the best chef in town!! Martha
Loved both food & service! Only complaint was noise level. Won’t stopme from returning.
Great dinner. Steak Florentine was wonderful! Service terrific
Food is delicious. Waiters and waitresses are very attentive. Great place to dine outdoors in the warm weather.
Lunch was enjoyable, tasty and quiet; reasonable priced and high quality with good service
I made reservations at Morso for our friends birthday and new year's celebration. The restaurant granted my request for a banquette table to accommodate a party of 6 and let me sample some of their wines before we ordered a bottle of wine for the table (we ended up ordering 2). Fantastic service as well as food and we loved the small plate options! This was probably one of the coldest nights of the year and we forgot all about it. We were the last people to leave the restaurant at 11:00 PM as we were having so much fun catching up. I highly recommend this hidden gem in Sutton place!
Restaurant was not well heated. Hard to find a comfortable table. This is a restaurant for “regulars” - service for them looked much better than the service we received
LOVE MORSO! Always delicious. Service is superb. Ambience is warm and inviting. Pino frequently stops by the table to see how you are. Morso is extremely appealing in every way.
I love this restaurant. The service and food are exceptional. Limited wines by the glass but a very good place
Met owner in restaurant in Sorrento and finally made it here in ny. Not disappointed at all. Met owners son who was delightful and cordial. Dinner and service was wonderful. We will go back!
Pleasant dining spot. One problem: very drafty. Need for screens or folding doors in front of window wall. Very uncomfortable on cold days.
This was our first time for Brunch and I must say that I missed the diversity of the full dinner menu. But there were still plenty of choices and our food was amazing.
Love this place.
