About
creative and delicious--rare combo. Excellent every time. Year after year, this is the NYC restaurant we go to the most often
This restaurant is always reliable for great food and service.
We really did not enjoy this restaurant. The food and service were fair. There are much better options on the upper east side. We would not go back.
I had the asparagus special: the asparagus wasnt fresh, it was drenched in water and it lacked a sauce, a pretty dissapointing dish all in all. I also had pasta cacio e pepe, which was slightly better, but still quite off (it had way too much pecorino).
We always have a great experience at this place. However, this past time, we felt that the service was not good at all. After our courses were served, there was never the offer of fresh pepper, grated cheese, etc. We left disappointed and the server tip reflected that...
Great food and reasonably priced for the quality. Nice decor and good mix of patrons. Look forward to returning often.
If you liked Centolire- you will be happy to find Morso.
Great food, bartender is awesome and makes the best drinks! You can bring your will behaved dog. :)
A very convenient, attractive neighborhood place with excellent food and service.
Fairly expensive but worth it compared to competitors.
Never had a bad meal there
Been to Morso several times. This was measurably the least satisfying experience. The popovers that historically begin the meal were (oddly) preceded by bread. And when the popovers did arrive, they were cold. An order of baked clams were good, but the while not cold were not as hot as they might have been Fettuccine with bolognese was served (again) not hot enough, and the meat was granular and distinct from the sauce, a really poor offering. A companion had chicken "meat balls" and a tubular pasta. The chicken was so dense it resisted cutting with a knife, and the pasta was tough. No soup was listed on the menu or suggested by our waiter, though on the way out we noticed a patron having pasta e fagioli. To be fair, the wine was good and the pour was generous. So, not a great experience but quite atypical of previous experiences at Morso. Anyone, and any kitchen, can have an off night. Let's hope that was the case here.
40 minute delay in getting the appetizer i called the waiter over several times and nothing happened so finally i went to the manager who scolded me for not saying something sooner
i had eincited some friends out to dinner and was thoroughly embarrassed
Absolutely LOVE this place -- consistently excellent food, friendly, and well managed.
Morso is hands-down my favorite restaurant. The room is comfortable, the food is fabulous and the people are friendly. You feel right at home.
They (owner Pino and manager Ezma) draw many regulars from the neighborhood, but also people from afar who value their warm hospitality and delicious food and drink. Morso is a winner on all counts!
Esme the hostess was lovely and by all accounts our waiter was fine, but the waiter is only as good as the kitchen. The restaurant had a private party booked as well as other diners for the evening. The kitchen staff did not keep up with the amount of food needing to leave the kitchen in a timely manner. While our food was tasty, it took an hour for the entree to arrive. It wasn't until the 3rd request for our food that we were told of the private party. For the prices Morso charges, they should have cut back on the reservations taken that coincided the party. Morso did themselves a disservice. Sadly, we won't be going back.
Wonderful meal and great service. This is our go to local restaurant that never disappoints. The veal dishes are always tender and perfectly cooked. We love the popovers to start with and their salads especially the farro are delicious and unique.
always a pleasure to dine at Morso -- excellent and friendly service - good ambience and lovely food.
fussy diner
Wonderful restaurant, food and service always excellent. Truly a neighborhood gem.
Always great for lunch or dinner
Do not know how this place got such good reviews. Very mediocre. Dark room. Service good. Very polite.
Enjoyed the food despite the noise and poor service
The bartender at this restaurant refused to serve me dessert because he said I was crying to much and disturbing the other guests in the restaurant.
The restaurant was empty.
My friend turns to him and said well I hope
When you have a death in your family that you cry too as that is only normal.
Went to manager who sent the bartender home and said she would not fire him.
I have never been so disgusted and blatantly insulted . Dinner was over 200 dollars . I do not find service or treatment of a customer acceptable under any conditions.
It was a horrible experience emotional.
Always a great place to dine in Sutton Place. dawn I
This is not my first visit, and it definitely won’t be my last. I cannot remember a time when I have not looked forward to having a deliciously prepared meal at one of the most friendliest restaurants in NYC.
We love all of giuseppe Pino Luongo restaurants good value excellent service from Sapore de mare, old coco pazzo,Le Madri, wish him more Success
This is one of the best Italian restaurant I know in NYC. The food is truly authentic, incredibly well prepared and very good (the Sunday veal milanese special is to die for!). Pastas are excellent. Overall a place I keep returning over and over when in the city!
MORSO is my go to restaurant, and by that I mean dining there every opportunity I get... lunch, family dinners, special occasions, and holidays. I’ve even eaten dinner at the bar, and enjoyed a glass of Prosecco, always served in a chilled flute! Agreed that the quality and presentation of the dishes are most important, but so are the choices, and the not-to-be forgotten service. We are always made to feel special.
We joined two friends for lunch and it could not have been a better experience. Terrific food and service and quiet so that conversation was easy.
Simple looking restaurant, with no character. Food was descent, while service was a bit overbearing. Had the portions been larger, this would be a great go to neighborhood restaurant. As it stands now, very pricey for what you are getting.
Cheap portions very old saying
Always a good reliable choice! Never had a bad meal there.
Morso is consistently good but best to stick to the menu. Dover sole special so uninspiring especially given the price tag.
Overall very good food and service.
Expensive but competitive with nice area restaurants
Very noisy indoors when outdoor area is closed due to weather
Food is always great - superb staff - A great Pino Longo restaurant
The food was excellent. The drinks were good but way overpriced. We do love this restaurant and come often
The best pasta I've ever had in NYC! I think Pino Longo is a great chef.
I just love it here...delicious food, wonderful outdoor space and marvelous staff.
Great food and atmosphere. Outdoor terrace is set back from the street and is terrific. Service is attentive but not pushy.
Love the terrace on a low humidity night. It was pretty crowded and looked they were short a waiter because it was slower than usual. But we will go back because it's lovely outside.
Morso has a beautiful outdoor terrace for dining. The service is top notch, the food is outstanding, and the ambiance is perfect. It is definitely a great dining experience.
Wonderful outdoor space
Great meal and wonderful service. The best Lobster fra diavolo I have had.
Service is very slow. Waiters not that attentive.
