Absolutely amazing food. Finally able to experience culinary greatness.
The yellowtail tartare with caviar may have been the best thing I have ever eaten in my life.
Amazing place! The food is so well prepared, high quality ingredients and unique presentation. Our waiter was so so attentive and paid attention to all details. We will be back real soon
It was my first time there and I had a great experience. The staffs were friendly and the food is great
Absolutely AMAZING service!
Morimoto is excellent once and then it’s same old same old. Everything is good nothing is ever OMFG. Ambience is cool the first time and then you realize it’s just not comfortable and very noisy - even when it’s empty it’s noisy. Wait staff works hard and does the type of service you would expect. Food value is so-so. The food is very good; no doubt one of the better meals in Philly. However, it’s also 2x-3x more than other really good meals in philly so. Best value is chef sampling menu but if you have a big party and/or picky eaters who don’t want to choose their meal that’s not a good choice; if you eat the menu well assume $100-$150 per person plus alcohol (which is also a major expense here!)!
My wife and I went for our anniversary. We had the Omakase tasting menu which forces you to try things outside of what you may normally try. The entire meal was outstanding. The dishes were good size and by course 5 or 6, you started to get full. The entire night was outstanding and I am very glad we made this choice.
We went there for my fiance's birthday and it was delicious! All the staff were very friendly. It's expensive but nice for a special occasion
Delicious! Really cool interior, perfect for a date night or special event. Food was all very tasty and actually pretty moderate in price given the quality of the dishes. Did the Morimoto omakase -- so delicious and detailedly prepared.
Appetizers were great. Ordered Chef’s choice on sushi/sashimi and wished there was more variety other than your basics. It was still very good
Amazing food & service. This is one of my top five favorite restaurants. Excellent!!
We had the Omakase to celebrate my birthday. The black cod and the A5 Wagyu beef were the best things I have ever eaten in my life.
Fantastic plating, complex flavors. The servers are attentive and the dining room is fresh and modern.
Pur server was polite, knowledgeable, and personable. The food was exceptional and we had a great time!
Excellent meal! I appreciated the fact that when ordering the tasting menu, the pretentious requirement that everyone at the table order it did not apply here! We were able to get a single order of the tasting menu, and the waiter helped us order more a la carte to ensure we had enough to eat. Every course was a hit!
Visited for my wife’s birthday. Every aspect was wonderful. Worth the price.
Food is different but good, service is great
Price is reasonable
We arrived early and our table was ready before we finished drinks at the bar. Servers were friendly and knowledgeable. The food was amazing as always. Just a perfect dining experience.
Been enjoying this restaurant for years a few times a year on special occasions; tonight I believe they have stepped up to even better cuisine. Great dinner!
My friend and I go there just for the A5 Wagyu and it is DELICIOUS. I have had it at other places and by far this is the best place in the world to get it.
Although the service was great, the food quality was not consistent. The hand roll sushi chefs choice was excellent, although I did not taste much fat on the medium fatty tuna, The surf and turf did not live to my expectations. The turf was yellow tail ceviche with an avocado sauce which was brown in color and somewhat slimy consistency. The Wagyu beef portion was very small. Had great flavor, but tasted more like filet mignonette with no fat contentthen Wagyu beef..
It's pricey but it's really delicious and special! The waitstaff was incredible too. I was worried because sometimes fancy japanese is so expensive and you somehow leave hungry, but this wasn't the case. And the sushi was high quality; not sure I ever had chu-toro so tender!
This is the best restaurant in the city. The omakase was phenomenal.
This was our first time here and it was amazing! I recommend the tasting lunch- 6 courses of chefs choosing and it was so delicious. Great service too!
Food is not as good as it once was. Way too salty for a few of their dishes. Low level mistake for a well established restaurant.
Justin was amazing and this was the best service we have ever received. We frequent a lot of fine dining restaurants and this tops the list!
Fantastic omikase experience, server was terrific
The service was outstanding and the food was excellent. I enjoyed the selection of seasonal sushi that was offered and everything was perfectly prepared. The tea cake dessert was one of my favorite parts of the meal but our server made the experience wonderful and memorable.
We were on vacation and our anniversary was close so we took the kids along as a special treat. Justin did a great job keeping them engaged and spacing their food out along with our omikase tasting. We couldn’t have been happier with the experience.
There was an exceptionally long delay between our hot course and our sushi course. It appeared that there was a very large takeout order being prepared while our sushi sat out waiting to be prepared for us. Frustration but it’s the first time it’s been slow like this.
We had an amazing time at morimoto. I'm pretty sure it was in the top 5 meals of my life. It is expensive so plan to ball out if you're going. Wouldn't have changed anything about our meal though, our server was amazing. The ambience is was unique, we loved the changing color decor.
Nice, modern style interior. The food was good American - Japanese, but the entrees were rather large. A bit too long to wait between courses, but friendly staff.
Husband had the Omakase "dinner" and corresponding Omakase beverage. 8 courses, 8 alcoholic beverages. He loved it. He got a lobster dish and he tried it, but he doesn't care for lobster, they gave him a second dish in place of the lobster! I had the Australian Waygu filet. Holy God. Can't go wrong with that! Perfectly cooked as ordered. 10/10 would go again. A bit pricey but definitely worth it.
Incredible night and incredible service at one of Philadelphia’s Premier restaurants. We just missed the Rolling Stones there but oh well still was a great place to meet new friends and have amazing food.
Amazing food. Very knowledgeable and attentive servers! We didnt do the catering menu but went with the salmon with was spicy with a ton of flavor. The pork belly, which was incredible and a must have. Wagyu dumplings that were also so flavorful and the skirt steak which was perfect to share with two people. Love the decor in here also
Outstanding restaurant all around!
Do not have time to write more.
Was a little hidden finding the place. Inside was beautiful and the food was unbelievably amazing! Omakasa Meal and Drink is what I recommend doing! Don't forget to order that Firey Flambé! Servers were on point and knew their menu.
Makato is the best server! The Japanese uni with a quail egg is a must have. Really spectacular service and food, made my friend’s birthday a great memory.
