I ordered the ramen but it tasted more like chicken noodle soup. I was disappointed as I have read reviews about how great the ramen is supposed to be. I was majorly disappointed.

This place is the mecca of sushi. they have a great selection of sushi probably best in the city , even exotic ones from Japan . We went a la cart ... it was a birthday dinner for a first timer at Morimoto . She loved it . Cocktails were spot on . We started with wagyu dumplings and rock shrimp tempura ... our waiter was great .. he knew the menu to a tee and service was perfect , no hovering , we followed up with sushi , ( tuna and red snapper and a California and spicey veg roll . Duck.. duck .. duck was recommended which I ordered and my girlfriend order the Succulent shellfish Toban Yaki . We could barely eat and bite for it was sooo good .. a candle was sent out with a small pre dessert of coffee gel and coconut cream (Classy move)and we ended our experience With the ginger ice cream box with ginger snaps .. it all worked perfectly .I expected to spend over 200 but my one issue was the valet .. on website the posted 15 and 22 for valet parking , well when I pulled up the valet , who was very friendly even though it was freezing , told me it was 30 and preferred cash . So I paid him 30 cash and actually tipped him a 10 because thats the cash I had . He parked my car right out front and was very kind . I just want you to be aware that you should bring some extra cash if you’re going to valet . Great experience plan to go back for a sushi tasting night .

Second time dinning at Morimoto. The uni, abalone, tempura, Chilean sea bass and duck duck duck were extraordinary. Looking forward to returning.

Absolutely amazing experience..pricey but worth every penny..if you are not a local parking may be a bit of a hassle..but once inside it was perfectly smooth, booked ahead and table was ready within 5-10 minutes of arrival..I had mentioned it was my first anniversary, they went out of their way to make it special..as for the food, the chefs combination sushi platter has a lot of variety and is plenty for 2, the fresh tofu (made at the table!) was delightful..will go back for sure

Morimoto is consistently wonderful. The menu is fresh and varied and as always creative and fun. The service is exceptional and it's apparent that staff is well trained and educated and not just "servers."
I look forward to Morimoto because I know that I will be well treated and be offered something I cannot get anywhere else. Three of us enjoyed lunch and really loved everything, especially the Kobe beef and the Uni. My go to here is sushi because it's exceptionally done. This is my happy place and I'll return.

Great dinner. We all were able to order a variety of dishes. Service did take a little while and some of the guests did not get their orders until checks were handed out, but the restaurant was kind and took those meals off the bill. The table space was large and fit everyone perfectly, as we were a large group of nine. The ambience was fantastic and lively. Would definitely recommend going there, great sushi.

Spending new years eve here was a fantastic experience! The food was great, I highly recommend their duck duck duck dish. The party gifts and complimentary drinks were also a nice touch to end the night.

There was miscommunication for our order. My husband had the New Years pre-fixe menu and I had ordered the black cod and wasabi rice. He was almost done with his 7 courses when my meal came out. Also, I ordered sushi rolls just because I was still waiting on the food. I thought dinner would take about an hour to maybe an hour and a half. However, it took about 2.5 hours and we missed the fireworks. Overall...a really really slow and not-so-good experience. Definitely not worth the $300 bill.

My husband and I made reservations for NYE dinner. From the time my husband and I walked in it was nothing but professionalism. Our waiter, Kevin, was very knowledgeable about the menu. I had the Lychee martini, which I’ve never had before and it was sooo good. We ordered shrimp tempura and wagyu dumplings. They were both amazing! The shrimp was piled high, not just 4 or 5 shrimp on a plate. It was enough for two big eaters to enjoy. For our entree’s, my husband chose black cod and I had Chilean sea bass. Both of those pieces of fish were DELICIOUS!! They just melted in your mouth. Seasoned perfectly, cooked perfected. The experience was awesome, the only thing thought would’ve topped that would’ve been if Chef Morimoto himself served us our food. We will be back again!!

morimoto was disappointingly americanized. the salmon avocado roll served with the lunch special was an odd choice. the sushi fish quality was fresh. green tea was too light, and served in steel pots with american tea cups. i understand if you want to charge for tea, but it should be refilled by the waiter. waiter service was not great. theres lots of staff, but we had to ask for the tea x 2 to receive it; and we ordered an extra miso soup, but never got it. sushi lunch is a better deal than the 45$ sushi. ramen was big for the price. decor is bizarre, almost fetal.

Fantastic experience for Christmas eve. Selection of sushi and Wagyu beef was excellent on the chef's tasting menu. Readily accommodated children and food restrictions. Food was eclectic and presentation fabulous. It was an experience of adulting not only the senses of tastes but also visual, smell was great. The service was excellent and made us feel like the only customers in the restaurant. Ambiance is very unique. My family and I loved it. Highly recommended.
