Service and food were absolutely excellent. Was there with my family for my son’s birthday. Wagyu on the hot stone was excellent. Sushi was great. It was awesome. A little loud - we didn’t have a reservation till 9, but by the time we left at 11, had slowed down and become less noisy. The lounge upstairs is a good place to have a drink before your table is ready. We’ll be back.
Always the best
Great food, great service, great prices. Can't beat it anywhere along the east coast!
My husband ordered the rock shrimp tempera appetizer which was much larger than he anticipated and nice and crisp with the perfect amount of seasoning/sauce . He also ordered a cook at table side entree which was delicious and the server was awesome providing the description of the ingredients. I ordered the 7 course chef tasting which was phenomenal. I enjoyed every course; everything was so fresh and the temperature was perfect, presentation was beautiful and once again our server was awesome in explaining what each dish entailed. The only detractor was the sound level in the restaurant. Despite the noise level we will definitely recommend to friends and family and return in the future.
Food was amazing and ambiance is great. I can't speak more highly for our server Scott, he was simply awesome. Great night!!!
Great food. Quite loud. Service got overwhelmed
birthday! everything was fabulous!
Our server was incredible, could not have asked for better service. The food however was not up to morimoto standards in my opinion. If I was paying $100 for the two of us I would have been satisfied, however our bill was almost $400 and we didn’t even order alcohol.
Overall, was a very good experience. Service was good. Oysters were good, a little small, but good. The sushi and sashimi were tasty. While the light in the middle of the table was visually interesting, it gets in the way of sharing a platter at a table for 2. Would definitely go back.
Amazing meal and service, as usual. Always a pleasure eating at Morimoto.
Excellent as always. Very busy night filled with young people
Wonderful birthday experience! The staff were so helpful and the food was delicious. Definitely a restaurant everyone should attend at least once.
We have been going since Morimoto opened. Each time we go we say to ourselves, why do we go anywhere else for Japaese food. We forgot how wonderful it is and that it offers dishes you can';t find anywhere else.
Waiter was very nice and helpful I recommend this to friends
Good but overpriced. Desert was disappointing.
It was a great night at Morimoto. Terrific food and service.
Amazing experience! I ordered the Omakase, and each course was beautiful, delicious, and described by the server perfectly. My friend requires gluten free, and they accommodated her Omakase, altering each course and explaining them to her. Overall, this was among the best meals ever for me.
Wonderful. Great food
Great attentive service. Our waiter gave us great advice and info. Food was unique and taste was great. Will go again if we have the opportunity.
Kelly was an outstanding server and was very attentive to our needs and was exceptional at describing the food and drink menus.
The restaurant was lovely. The service was stellar. The food was certainly great however given the price I have to question the value. It just wasn’t a mind blowing experience.
Very good ......lunch offers better value than dinner I am sure. But for some reason I had a Nobu level of food as my expectation... but it's not quite that. We all ( party of 6) ordered a la carte. Maybe need to try the Omakase to get the full experience. Server was really great.
One of the best culinary experiences I've ever had.
Going to Walnut Street Theater and birthday
Best chicken soup I’ve ever had. It sounds crazy but you have to get Morimoto udon noodle soup! Also, the skirt steak was fabulous!!
The Valet was responsive as we pulled up told us about the App made it simple handed keys tip was over , all on credit card after dinner just hit the app when we were ready and our car was there. Give yourself 5 min. Really impressive. The staff at reservation host desk were very warming I stated my name we were takin to the elbow of the sushi bar awesome view of chefs and the restaurant our server Josh was excellent and made us feel at home. He was very informative to the menu and we had sushi but also the waygu strip steak , the dumplings were incredible. A 10 out of 10 meal , rare to find these days. Will go back soon. A+ is Morimoto’s Grade
I will start by saying that the entire meal was remarkable. Every course was exceptionally prepared, and the presentation was eye-catching, impressive, and extremely consistent between the three of us. The portion sizes of each course were enough to experience the different flavors without being overwhelming, and even at the end of 7 courses plus dessert, none of us had had too much to eat. We asked for, and were given, a complete written description of the meal to take home. This included the drink pairings as well.
Our party was 3 people. We had all been to Morimoto at this location previously, and the experience was very consistent with prior visits. We all had the Omakase, including both available upgrades ($10 to upgrade a salad to a sashimi course, and $25 to upgrade the beef to a grade A5 Waygu). The sashimi upgrade was very good, but there was also a sushi course as part of the Omakase. The beef upgrade is something I cannot recommend highly enough. The flavor was as if an unbelievably tender and flavorful piece of beef had been infused with foie gras. The meat was so tender that the knife provided was probably unnecessary, but I used it anyway. One of us had the sake pairing, and the other had the wine pairing; I was the designated driver, so no drinking though I did taste all of the drink servings. The drinks were reasonably matched, and the sake choices were notably different. The waiter was extremely knowledgeable about the differences in the flavors and and in the production of the sakes.
The servers were polite, prompt and were all very knowledgeable regarding the food that they served. My only negative was that the restaurant was noisy enough that it was sometimes difficult to hear the servers describe the food, and conversation was also difficult at times.
Dining at Morimoto's is an experience and not just a meal. I highly recommend.
Service was perfect
Food was amazing!
If your in Philadelphia and you like sushi don’t miss this place!
Outstanding food, and an ambient location. Highly recommend.
Morimoto's tasting menu was the best meal my boyfriend have had in our lives, no competition.
Amazing food and service. Can't wait to go back again.
The food was delectable and beautifully presented. Our waiter was superb and got alot of support from other staff members. We were very well attended to. And I appreciate you remembering the bday candle!
Omakase all the way.
The atmosphere was beautiful. Food was delicious. Great service!
Seafood Toban Yaki was awesome.
Waygu dumplings were deliciously.
Duck, Duck, Duck had great flavor.
Only thing that was marginal was the waygu carpaccio. Great flavor, but chewy. Did not have the texture of tenderloin.
A great visit - but actually liked the Orlando Morimoto’s menu more. Will definitely return!
Perfect place for any occasion! Every bite was delicious with impeccable service
We ordered the omikase. Our server expressed that at that point he'd just take our menus and just spoil us for an hour and a half. Truer words were never spoken. We can't wait to return.
I was expecting to be blown away but left with hardly a bruise. I was quite underwhelmed....
Fabulous restaurant for special occasions in a relaxed atmosphere.
