Morimoto’s definitely lived up to the hype!! The magic they are able to do with food is unparalleled. I have never tasted black cod so tender, or oysters as delicious as the Uni oysters. I can’t wait to come back for our next trip

This was a wonderful dinner restaurant. The family needed some time that together that was memorable and lovely. The staff were great! The flavors and presentation were delicious and delightful! It is a place that we want to come back to again and again.

The food was very good. The service was good and attentive. The server and the Somm came by to pour more wine when the glasses got low. It was a very large, very noisy restaurant, which made it hard to talk to, and hear my date.

Great service from Amir, as always. Sea urchin carbonara was both creative and crazy delicious and the chirashi is the best we've had outside Japan!

If you're willing to splurge a bit and you're looking for a dining experience rather than just dinner, go for the omakase tasting menu. Several courses, each one offering new flavors, sights, smells, and textures. The sushi is okay, but their signature dishes are where it's at.

We went early, 5:30, almost empty restaurant and it took almost 15 minutes before any person came to our table. That very slow and unattended service continued throughout our meal.

The tempura shrimp were a surprise and very crispy. I would go back just for this. The octopus was a little tough. The hamachi collar was delicious.

The first evening inNapa and I was celebrating my birthday month. Brook is an amazing waitperson and made me feel well cared for. The food was outstanding. I had the Omakase with sake pairing. Each were perfectly matched. I would recommend Morimoto for a special night out!

A very good restaurant, that has much capacity. It's not intimate dining, but it has good japanese foods, as well as some nice variants... Like bone marrow!. Good enough, we're going again before we leave Napa.

The waiter was very rude, and he barely said 2 words to us. It was almost like he saw us and thought to himself "they're definitely not going to spend a lot of money." After that, he seemed to want nothing to do with us. We're here on our honeymoon and wanted a nice night out, which did not happen at this restaurant because of the rude waiter.

Service was terrible!!! Extremely disappointed since I was looking forward to this dinner so much. Food was good, noise level was out of control. Took over 20 Minutes for our drink order and when we told we the waiter, he blamed the backed up bar staff. Will not return.

Morimoto's in Napa is surely a stop that you should make if you love sushi, innovative dining and just outright fantastic eats. Everything about Morimoto's is fantastic! We love coming here when we are in the Napa area. Their omakase (chef's tasting menu) is awesome if you like trying different things and lots of food... their sashimi combo plate was gorgeously araanged Ned absolutely delicious with the freshest fish available. We love Morimoto's in Napa and will definitely be back to try other dishes. Highly recommend!

When making my reservations I explained that we were coming in to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary and asked for a romantic seat. That request was ignored and was placed in the middle of a long table that had people on both sides of us. There were plenty of open spots in the restaurant that would have been “more special” and private for us. We also had to get up and go to the bar to ask for more wine because our server was busy chatting with some friends at another table. It was a disappointing evening.

We took out of town visitors to experience an Iron Chef restaurant. It did not disappoint. Food was great, many options from which to choose. Had a great dessert with a chocolate sphere being lit up and melting nicely.

Not worth it. The sushi was no better than your typical small sushi shop in your hometown. The decor was blah (the chairs in the front waiting area were so dirty)

The only highlight of the night was the noodle soup

Service was appalling, as waiter forgot our drinks 3 times and brought out the wrong bottle of wine after 20 minutes. Never apologized or offered anything. Manager never came to the table. They don’t care about customers at all. Don’t eat there as it’s bad service with only OK food.

The food- perfection! We will be back! We had the Black Cod, Spicy Beans, Duck Confit Rice, And appetizer of Sushi and Whitefish Cappacio. The only item I wasn't thrilled with was the dessert "on fire"...but that was just because it was way too much chocolate! My husband loves it.
Decor was beautiful! Sushi was the best I've ever had, and I'm from Seattle which has great sushi. Loud, so if you want quiet, sit outside!

Morimoto - Napa is one of my favorite places to dine. It touts an Iron Chef caliber restaurant with experienced staff. The Tuna Pizza appetizer is one of my favorites. We typically order their sushi and sake. Outstanding meal.

This was our second time at Morimoto and we will not go back again. The sushi quality is good at best and the cost remains the highest in Napa. Once they buy the best cuts, how they started, I will be back. Sorry to say it though they know it's changed to a tourist attraction and no longer a fine sushi experience.

We really looked forward to our dining experience and were sadly disappointed and frankly will never return. Halfof us thought the meals ordered were ok, 1/2 of us were disgusted by the poor quality of the Wagyu (surf and turf). Wagyu is normally very, very beautifully marbled, the cuts we received had pea sized chunks of fat as well as grizzle. Was this Wagyu? We don’t know. The fish (surf) portion of the Surf and Turf was mushy, I couldn’t eat it, nor could I finish the Wagyu. When a diner anticipates and is willing to pay a gourmet amount for a gourmet meal, disappointment should and normally is not part of their experience. Never again.

We have been to Morimoto many times. Always a great treat. Food is superb and the service exceptional. The Buri Bop is unique and fun to watch make at your table. The flavors were out of this world. However, our normal all fives rating is down this time. We brought a bottle of wine with us as we had come from a tasting at Cakebread. Of course we knew we would have a corkage fee except we ordered two glasses of Patz and Hall chardonnay at $20 bucks a pop. Having bought $40 of their wine we were a little surprised when we still saw a $30 corkage fee on our bill. I spoke to the front people who apologized and said they would let the manager know. I told them in the past they had not charged corkage when we bought their wine. That was the end of it. We love Morimoto and will come back but it went down a bit in our eyes. When you spend $40 on their wine I think corkage is a bit over the top.

Since we had a late lunch we decided to order a bunch of appetizers, sushi and sashimi since we weren’t in the mood for a full meal. We enjoyed the appetizers so much more than the sushi and sashimi, itself. Don’t get me wrong, the sushi and sashimi were good but we couldn’t get enough of the appetizers. The wagyu beef carpaccio, sticky ribs, rock shrimp tempura and pork gyoza were all AMAZING!! We also ordered dessert - monkey bread and the fiery chocolate tart. Both were outstanding and the presentation of the fiery chocolate tart was video worthy. Service was also top notch, as well as the vibe of the restaurant. We’ll definitely be back when we’re in Napa again.
