Morimoto never disappoints! I love coming here. Thank you!
Everything was good except the sushi chef selection. Service was not excellent but good.
Sushi was ok. Service was good, but forgot my drinks. Overall ok experience.
Morimotos was an amazing dining experience. We sat on the patio overlooking the Napa River. The food and cocktails were sublime. I can’t wait to go back!
The food is too salty
Absolutely the best sushi experience. You gotta get the rock shrimp as a app!!
Sushi was fantastic! Seems a bit expensive, but excellent service and attention to social distancing. Morimoto is always on our list when we’re in Napa!
Anthony was our server for dinner with my wife as well as the server for a business gathering afterwards. He is simply an outstanding professional and his love for food and wine produced the perfect pairing of our food with two glasses of the EnRoute Pinot Noir. The guests at the business meeting were enthralled and I joined them in applauding Anthony, Eric and the other servers. It was truly a Thanksgiving in April for us all. We will definitely return to Morimoto Napa to create another wonderful and happy memory. Thank you Chef Morimoto and The Great Anthony!
My favorite restaurant. Loved the dinner!!! best ever
My rating fell short because the sushi served was very mediocre especially, considering this is Morimoto. Not a hole in the wall. There are better places in the Bay Area (including Sushi Plus in Redwood City) where the sushi tastes more fresh and for a lot cheaper.
The service was attentive and prompt. But overall, not a good bank for the buck.
We went two days in a row because it was so good! Rich and Kaela were amazing and we loved everything we ordered!
We sat outside because it was a lovely day. Very well orchestrated with separated tables or tables in individual tents (they even have gutters and downspouts!) We ordered the Chef’s Choice sushi and it was just the best! One of us has a shellfish allergy but Morimoto’s Napa always accommodates this and substitutes great choices. This restaurant is a great choice, either for a very special occasion, or just because you want to eat really good food!
Celebrating wife’s birthday. Staff was spread a little thin. Was not aware they were on a modified menu due to COVID. Was looking forward to a flaming dessert. But still made the best of it. The staff made the birthday special with ice cream and a candle.
Always outstanding! Thank you Maryanne, Ichiro & Anthony for making it extra special!
Had a great experience at this restaurant! Very pleasant atmosphere and wait staff was wonderful! We totally enjoyed our visit!
Justin, the waiter, really made our experience memorable. He accommodated to every request we had and was very friendly. The food was very fresh and delicious. This place is a must!
The food and service were excellent. We had great interaction with both our server Justin and the Manager on duty. Perfect dinner experience!
The moment we walked through the door, we were greeted with a nurturing welcome. Our server was excellent and was very helpful. The food was excellent and hot. I was very pleased to be at a warm delightful restaurant on my birthday. The ice cream was amazing! Thank you! Charnette
Everything we ordered was delicious. Started with the tuna tacos, then a salad and requested the miso dressing (so good wish we would have ordered the large), the sticky ribs are to die for, the duck-fat fries were good, and the s'mores for dessert was amazing. Next time we are going to try the pork chop as it looked so good and a couple dining near us raved about it.
Very disappointed with the food. Very sad about the entire experience. I have been to many top Japanese restaurants. If Morimoto went to this restaurant, he too would be disappointed with the taste of the food. Restaurant was so noisy at 5pm. Need to set up noise buffers with the high ceilings.
It was amazing! Chadwick was an amazing server who graciously answered all our questions. We will go back again.
Everything very good, except the host( rude- sorry).
Will be back again!
Excellent food and service
exceptional sushi, outstanding waitperson, excellent decor, prices could be a bit lower
I/we have dined multiple times at Morimoto. Today was a special retirement luncheon for the two of us....never have I ever received worse service. I was stunned at how poor the service actually was.
Waited 15-20 minutes before we had any visit from a server. Even water.
Waited another 15 minutes for someone to take our drink order.
Specifically asked for our appetizer to be delivered first.
15 minutes later two entrees arrived and no appetizer. We sent them back and awaited appetizer.
Appetizer arrived and then shortly after (10-15) entrees arrived. Calamari on salad was cold and hard. Lettuce was warm and wilted. Sushi was warm and dry.
We waited another 30-45 minutes before anyone checked on our drinks. After an hour I flagged someone down for a glass of champagne and to pick up our plates.
Such a disappointment.
Food and service were great, although the area looks as if it was hit by this pandemic thing. Area has seen better days. That said, worth the trip.
Jessica was very helpful and I think she enjoys her job because she was smiling all the time.
The mackerel nigiri was awesome. We also had the softshell crab and spicy hamachi rolls. I recommend the edamame, it was warm and perfectly salted. We ate outside and the heat lamps made it very comfortable with no coat.
I have been eating Japanese food all my life and this one of the best Japanese restaurants I've been too. The sushi menu is short compared to other restaurants but the results were amazing. The nori used in the rolls had great flavor and was very fresh. The spicy salmon roll used large strips of salmon coated with a hot sauce along the length of the roll instead of minced salmon mixed with hot sauce found in most other restaurants. It was the best tasting spicy salmon roll that I had ever eaten. Same for the shrimp tempura roll, it tasted amazing.
We also had the chef selection of sashimi which had a good assortment include maguro, fatty toro, hirame, tai, hamachi and tako. The fish was very fresh.
For a hot course, we had the broiled black cod, it was one of the biggest portions served in a restaurant and tasted amazing.
Save room for dessert, we had Morimoto's version of a s'more. It had kiromitsu Graham, which like a light mousse, smoked soy chocolate mousse and toasted marshmallow. We also had the coconut foam with a very tasty mango sorbet and yuzu tapioca pearls.
To drink, we had the house junmai ginjo sake, it was crisp, delicate but flavorful.
It wasn't cheap but well worth it. I will definitely be returning soon.
Efficient and pleasant. For lunch we ordered Tuna Tacos, Pork Belly in Rice Kanji, Duck Fat Fries, and an eel sushi roll. The tuna tacos were good but nothing special. We found out after that they were supposed to have a spicy aoli on each one. I didn't have that, but my partner did on one of two. The pork belly and fries were very good. Delicious in every way! Not too fatty, served hot and well-balanced. The sushi roll was well made, and again balanced with components and flavors. Quick servings. Nice staff. Good lunch.
For starters we had the tofu misu soup and tuna taco, then we had the braised black cod with duck fat fries and duck confit fried rice and for dessert the lime white chocolate ganache - all absolutely amazing!!!!!
Looking forward to going back for the same thing. We just love their food and the service was impeccable.
Extremely loud, this is definitely not a date night location.
Our dinner experience started off pretty good but quickly turned terrible as they got busy. Our server stopped checking in on us. He came by once to ask about dessert and never returned. We waited over 45minutes and finally gave up and wanted the check. Nobody came to help us. We asked several times to other servers walking by for the check and still nothing. I was looking for the manager but he was nowhere to be found. Later another person said the computers were down. I saw other tables getting their check. This made no sense to us. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Save your money or go try another place. There are many other really good restaurants. The hype is not worth it at all.
Food was okay but Morimoto is sadly not what it used to be.
The one is awesome during this visit is our waiter, he very attentive and very knowledgeable bring, our visit more exciting.
Food somewhat is meh. It’s not as I expected, sushi
We ate there during covid, it was just ok. The menu was about half the normal size. I wouldn’t go back for now. When we ate there before covid it was amazing, I would go back after covid restrictions are lifted and try it again.
The menu keeps shrinking.....I’ll give them that for now....next time I expect it to be closer to what was in the past.
And bring back the PhôKing!!!
Great food, great service, great space, and a wonderful dining experience.
