Great service, beautifully themed decor, very fresh fish and loved the unique ways things were prepared.
Service/waitress was great - food not so much - I go to several Morimoto restaurants regularly - was an off night in the kitchen - sushi was not the normal and the shrimp appetizer was soggy. Went back to the Meritage Resort and ordered fish tacos.....
Went here for our minimoon and the food was outstanding!!
Ok. Ive been to morimoto's in Vegas, Honolulu and Maui. For some reason this restaurant did not measure up. The Hamachi taco was just ok. Tempura shrimp was quite good. The sashimi and softshell crab cut roll questionable. It seemed like everything was a day old... not great when you are dealing with fish. Otherwise the restaurant looks great and the service was friendly.
Had lunch here for our anniversary. Great service, food and ambiance! Always come back here to eat when we are in Napa.
Who knew there’d be a last call for ordering food just a few minutes after we were seated? Had an 8 pm reservation and by 8:15 we were told there were ten minutes left to order any more food. Absurd. As for the food itself, the rock shrimp tempura was delicious but everything else was quite pedestrian. The gyoza were an exercise in pretension and lacked flavor until soaked in soy. I ordered sushi (soft shell crab and California rolls) and I expect that supermarket sushi could only have been an improvement. My partner enjoyed the ramen but overall this seems like the tinsel of Hollywood where it’s all about celebrity and you pull back the curtain and there’s nothing there. It’s an attractive restaurant but there is much better food elsewhere in Napa. Go if you’re impressed by a name but look for other options if you prefer good food.
For my 60th birthday my mother treated me to Morimoto’s. Our server, Crystal, did an outstanding job and the food was over the top delicious. My only disappointment was that due to COVID-19, the pre fixe menu was not offered. But that just means another visit is needed!
Was hoping to be wowed and wasn’t. My cocktail arrived with a hair floating in it, so that was not a good first impression. the quality of the sushi was very good, but so are many other restaurants I’ve been to - this one just came with a much bigger price tag. I enjoyed the experience, but don’t feel the need to go back.
Not close to the experience we were expecting. We’ve been to Morimoto Napa 5 times before. I understand the Covid restrictions but you guys did not provide the service or experience we would except from Morimoto.
Will come back when your operations are back to normal, but not before.
Birthday - wonderful experience!
Always outstanding food, service and cocktails. The perfect end to a day of wine tasting.
We sat in the patio which adds to the experience at Morimoto Napa. The service is excellent.
We had the Sushi combo. The fish selection was excellent with flavor and texture.
The Black Cod is always pleaser. Morimoto's is always top notch in food quality and presentation.
Great time. Had not been since the pandemic hit...but the food is always top notch. Even had a good business conversation with the general manager about the staffing challenges in providing top line service. We got top line service, and will always recommend this spot.
A must do! Highly recommended. Excellent food. Great atmosphere.
Honestly a horrible experience. The service was the slowest and least attentive I have had in a very long time, the food was lackluster, and I will not be back
The pork belly was absolutely delicious, it may be the best thing I’ve ever eaten
Dining with friends
My wife and I really enjoyed the experience. Absolutely a high-class restaurant. Enjoyed a lot their sushi platter. Also, the sauvignon blanc recommended by Manny, sooty if I miss spelled the name, was a hit. Would definitely dine again
We put ourselves in our server's hands and were guided through six courses and five sake tastings beyond our wildest dreams.
I’m not a fan of sushi but the menu had plenty of non-sushi items to choose from. I ordered the ramen with a side of duck fried rice and they were both amazing! The broth was outstanding. Big portions on both so I had plenty of leftovers to enjoy the next day!
Food was good as always, service could be better
Terrific to be back. They do it right. Great team, service; high quality meal.
Great food, lives up to his reputation. We will also visit location in Las Vegas.
This was a third time at Morimoto in Napa. Consistently underwhelming. I have a great regard and respect for Chef Morimoto and his restaurant in New York was always an amazing experience. Not Napa. Looks dingy and dirty. Not welcoming or inviting. Some items on the menu are fantastic - mainly the cooked dishes. The highlights are the Sticky Ribs, Beef Carpaccio, Pork Gyoza and Kakuni. The Maki rolls on the other hand are clumsy and not tightly executed. The Sashimi varies in quality the Sake was sublime but the Hamachi and Maguro not so. The staff is friendly but not charming. I know that the Covid put a major strain on all restaurants - so they have my sympathy, understanding and continuous patronage. However Morimoto in Napa needs major cleaning to be inviting and welcoming again.
Exquisite food. The service made it taste better and sitting outside on the boardwalk sealed the deal.
The outside seating was awesome even with two kiddos. Our waiters were very attentive and fulfilled our request in a timely manner. My birthday dinner was exquisite!
Sushi was terrible
Service was great
Food was top notch, the portions were generous for Japanese food. Our waiter was very well informed and she was super accommodating and made great recommendations.
Thoroughly enjoyed the visit.
Amazing as always
Very nice atmosphere.
The food is a high quality, liked the pork gyoza and soft shell crab roll.
If you go there, recommend it.
Excellent service and cuisine.
We missed some of their menu items, but fabulous as always!
Get the A5 Waygu steak. It melts in your mouth. Add the Wasabe too.
I was very excited to try this place. It lived up to my expectations and then some. I definitely suggest reading the s'mores dessert. It is the best I've had.
Went here for my birthday and was kinda disappointed.
The service was meh
The food was not Morimoto level
The atmosphere of the restaurant was A-OK
I’ve been here before so I had an idea of what to expect. Our last visit was phenomenal. Sadly this time was just disappointing
Celebrated my son’s 21st birthday and we had a wonderful experience. What a relaxing and enjoyable place to be at with our hosts and servers so friendly and attentive. The food was excellent! Our first time to dine in in a year since the pandemic started and was very happy we came to Morimoto’s. We’ll definitely be back for more!!
We were a party of 6. The main server did a great job, but the food runners didn't know where to put the plates, they had to ask. Amateur. The food was good, but not outstanding. The menu is much smaller than it used to be. I ordered the chef's selection of Sashimi for $104. It came with about a dozen types of raw fish, beautifully displayed, but only 3 or 4 were excellent. The yellowtail was amazing. The general manager was new, and was the shining star of the evening bringing us fresh wasabi root to the table, and shredding it on a shark scale paddle.
I guess I feel like things have changed at Mori. I have high standards... I live here...
Love love love it here. Everything was delish. One of my favorite brussel sprouts ever!
The food did not hold up to other Morimoto’s we have been to. For what you are paying, you would expect better fish/sushi. It was average at best. The service was horrible though. Our server made multiple derogatory remarks to us at which point we had to request a new server. To top it off, we were seated outside in 55 degree weather. There were multiple tables available inside but they refused to seat us there until we got the General Manager involved midway through our meal.
