   It was a wonderful experience. We thought it’s just another Japanese restaurant and we were wrong. It was our first time and our waiter Amir helped us decide what we wanted to eat. He made sure that we take our time to enjoy each course. It was our first and definitely not the last. Highly recommended well worth your time no regrets.

   We sat outside where we got to use 2 heaters, and we ate at a nice 4 top, so we were toasty and had room for all the dishes we ordered. Inside was VERY loud and crowded, with two tops practically on top of each other. Service was surprisingly great since they had some staffing issues last night. Thank you, Brooke and her helper(sorry I forgot your name)!

   We ordered 2 drinks, the white lily and the casual encounter, both were really good and oredered another round. For the food we shared the shshito peppers, edamame, steak carpaccio and the hamachi tartare. The only one I wasn't a fan of was the hamachi tartare, it was more of a puree of hamachi than a tartare, minced very very fine and kind of uncomfortable to mix it up ourselves. Good flavors though, just different. The white chocolate yuzu rice pudding and mango sorbet was a good dessert, lots going on in a spoonful. Would definately return to try other items.

   There were two Morimotos! I went to Morimoto Asia and it was closed. I thought a mistake had been made till I walked further and saw the correct location. Whew! Food was delicious and fresh. Service was very pleasant and on point. Nice ambiance and very welcoming

   Really delicious food and our server was exemplary. We also enjoyed the cocktails very much! We had a few apps, split an entree and a side of the duck fat fries and there's nothing that we'd have changed. It was a meal that made us repeatedly feel like we should be eating there way more often!

    The food was absolutely delicious, beyond our expectations. The service was exceptional, with our server being knowledgeable and genuinely attentive to ensure our dining experience was pleasurable and enjoyable. However, the ambience was uncomfortably loud, mainly due to our seating in the middle which caught a lot of echoing. Despite this unfortunate drawback, it did not entirely diminish our overall experience. We would consider returning, but we would be more cautious about our choice of seating.

    Disappointing dinner. Because of the name, I was expecting exceptional Japanese cuisine. Instead, we got the sushi equivalent of Taco Bell. Really, the menu was lacking in creativity and needs to be overhauled. We have evolved in our palate for Japanese cuisine over the past 30 years and Morimoto is stuck in 1990! I should have gone to the grocery store and picked up Japanese frozen food!

    Morimoto in Napa never disappoints. The food and the service were excellent. We ordered many things to share family style and they were wonderful with changing out plates, making sure we have enough food and drinks and were very friendly.

    Food was very good, but waiter had to be asked to speak up every time he said something. Appetizers and entrees came at the same time - not a great start. Wanted to order another roll, but the waiter completely disappeared. Had to flag down another server. Waited another 20 min to get the check.     Wonderful food and a good wine list make this an outstanding dining experience. We did not see our server for nearly ten minutes after being seated… not the first time in our experience that this happened at this restaurant. It would appear to be a management problem. That aside, once our server engaged, he did an excellent job and was very knowledgeable about the menu and the wine list. Our food was served promptly and food runners were flawless in providing descriptions and the table bussing staff did the job quite well. Morimoto was wonderful.

    Great sushi and food . The spicy tacos are definitely a must order . Delicious ! The Rock Tempura appetizer plate is the best. 2 types of shrimps , so delicious ! The sushi is very fresh and tasty.

    While this is normally a great dining experience, this one was very disappointing. Our server wasted no time proudly informing us the corkage fee has been increased to a stupid amount of $40 but then waited more than 15 minutes to offer to open the bottle we brought. The service never recovered from there. Fortunately, the manager on duty removed the corkage fee. Hopefully the ship gets steered back in the right direction.

    Great experience with the food, atmosphere, creativity as usual. However this year service was spotty as we waited for items and our server rarely came at our table as he was too busy despite being helpful and knowledgeable. But we love the place and we will come back as every year!

    We had a few appetizers, sushi, and desert. The appetizers and the sushi were excellent. For many years, the main attraction for us has been the white chocolate lime ganache desert. Unfortunately, this year, the chef decided to replace tapioca w/ rice!!!! It was a disaster and the desert became a chewy mess.

    Dinner at the sushi bar was really good, but overall we probably paid twice as much as what we would have paid elsewhere for a similar meal, so not sure it was worth the hype. Nonetheless, service was great, and while it wasn’t exactly an intimate setting with limited seating, we enjoyed the atmosphere.
