Delicious one of my favorite on Maui
We had a wonderful meal here. Everything was great - the food, the server, and the ambiance. There were 5 of us and we had several appetizers. The ribs were a unanimous favorite. All of our entrees were fabulous!
It was even better than last time. Although we missed some favorites that were not on the menu. Everything we ordered was prepared perfectly. The food was better than mammas fish house.
It was our second time, food, ambiance and service were wonderful. However we had to request a better table twice, hosts can do a better job of offering the best available table for guests upon arrival without the guests having to ask for this. Our waiter was wonderful though and hosts moved us to a better table in the end.
Ask for Nick, he’s the best!
Delicious food, not overpriced, a large menu with options and different food, outstanding service, pleasant ambience, and spectacular view.
Vacation! It was very nice. The menu is a bit limited but the food quality was excellent
We had an added bonus as a luau was happening on Sunday, so we had music and entertainment during our outside seating.
Food was good, service slow and disjointed. No chopsticks seemed strange for a Japanese restaurant
Simply Amazing!
The sushi platter, rock shrimp, ahi tacos, Old Fashion, Morimortini were all excellent. The service and view were outstanding!
Lovely sunset views, excellent food and service.
Awesome dinner and location
Very good experience at Morimoto: excellent food, cocktails and service.
1st time at a Morimoto. Foodies. Not a memorable experience. Flavors bland. Narrow menu. Way overpriced.
Food was not as good as before but still worth going back
Whilst the food and setting were excellent, the service was not necessarily up to par. The staff were available when needed but were not very attentive. It took too long to get their attention and had to be reminded to do simple things like refill our water, ask if we wanted any fresh drinks etc.
Food servings were generous and very tasty. Just wish it felt like a 5 star restaurant - it felt more like a hotel dining ‘option’
We have been to several Morimoto restaurants and Maui location is not as good as the others. Sorry to say as we do enjoy the food and dining experience.
It was good food, the waiter was way too chatty, but they put our table underneath the bar (like they were trying to space things out, and they didn't have bar stools, but put our table there instead. Not the best place to put a table), and the restaurant itself was by the pool. And there was wasabi IN the sushi, so no way to avoid the spice. Great cuts of fish, but couldn't enjoy it like I might have without the gross amounts of green spice hidden inside. Their saving grace was the house made sake. Really good stuff.
Very unique experience....must try
Great experience with Justice and Chris. Food was wonderful.
Amazing dishes bursting with creativity and gastronomic flavor profiles. So thought out with each component chosen with purpose. Delicious.
Once in a lifetime experience to try a-5 wagyu beef. The best meal my husband and I have ever had. Suggest the pork belly appetizer and sushi and sashimi chef selections.
Morimoto Napa is much better, on all fronts. I’ve visited this Maui location several times and have always been left underwhelmed and hostage at a table waiting for the bill. Let’s start- cocktails are quite good, but at around $20 they had better be... that being said they definitely are NOT in the top 20%. The fish quality is good, portions are medium, there are definitely much better options out there.
Service- this isn’t their fault, I believe that they understaff the location and give the servers too many tables to juggle, so that they don’t have to pay them all through the lower seasons (I get it this happens places, but it shouldn’t at the level they think they are).
All in all, if you have to try it, sure go for it, but it’s subpar quality and a superior price tag.
Everything is awesome!
The waiter is very considerate!
Dining during Covid -19 has been different but the staff and chef made us "almost"(still had to be safe) feel like we were in pre-covid times. Our service was expectational and the food was so fresh and tasty. We were a party of five and everything we had was amazing. Notable standout dishes...Pork chop, chef special and the fish of the day. Sushi was exceptional as well.
Was excited to try this restaurant from hearing good things about the food! It was terrible, the beef carapacio I wouldn’t of paid anything for and the pork was rubbery and hard. The sushi was average. Not worth the money that’s for sure!
Service was good. Food is terribly overrated. Our second time there. We didn’t like it the first time but someone mentioned it to us so we thought we would go again. There won’t be a third time. We left the restaurant with a couple that sat nearby and they had the same reaction. Awful
Everything was excellent. The best food, drinks and service we’ve had on Maui. We ordered assorted sashimi, the wagyu filet, and a couple appetizers.
Waiter was very poor. An example — I said we would like to order another glass of wine. He never came back to take our order.
Our experience would have been a million times better if all the servers wouldn’t interrupt our conversation. This happened at least six times. A small pause table-side before barging in would have been appreciated.
The food at Morimoto was outstanding. We actually dined here twice during our trip because it was so amazing. For appetizers, we started with the Poke tacos (so fresh and the flavors were wonderful) and the Pork bao. We also tried the softshell Bao our second time, but both agreed the Pork was better. We got the spicy salmon and yellowtail rolls. Both delicious, and again the fish was so fresh. Can't beat it. For our entrees, we got the A5 Wagyu and the Black Cod. The Wagyu is pretty pricy, but it is melt in your mouth. The cod is unlike anything we've had before. The fish was so delicate and the glaze was delicious. We repeated this order our second time because we didn't think anything could beat it! What an amazing dinner, topped off with an incredible sunset. All of the staff was friendly and helpful. If you're visiting Maui, you won't regret having dinner here!
Service was great. Server seemed to really enjoy his job. Gave us good recommendations on food and sake. Food was good, but service was better.
Great food and service with a gorgeous view!
Morimoto restaurant was one of my favorite restaurants in Wailea! The service was impeccable and the servers were friendly! The ambiance is beautiful and the food was delicious!!
amazing food. everything was perfect. the wine was not the same year listed on menu and wasnt as good. we recommend highly.
A beautiful property, with excellent food and service
Sushi ad sashimi were all super fresh and they melt in your mouth! Don’t forget to try the mushroom side dish - it was amazing!!
Great Sevice and amazing food with a beautiful beach back drop.
food is so good, drinks are amazing, our new favorite place in maui! everything was so fresh and delicious, we will be coming back soon!
Appetizers were amazing but sushi was sadly nothing special and our fish main dish was bland. Really expected more from this spot.
