Sticky Ribs, Black Cod... phenomenal
Amazing views & amazing experience! My wife is vegan and Adam offered some off the menu options, including a tofu veggie hot pot, which was prepared table-side by Sue (sp?) - from corporate. Sue was so gracious and personable—— she made my wife’s birthday experience the best! Adam even brought my wife a dessert with a candle which was comped by Sue. The restaurant is gorgeous! For some seriously great food don’t hesitate visiting Morimoto! Thank you Adam & Sue - Iron Chef Morimoto would be proud! Mahalo nui.
Food was excellent, as was the service.
Very delicious food. Highlights are the hemachi bimbimbop & tamarind spare ribs
Location right next to the pool is a little odd. Food was good but not transcendent. Service was excellent.
Was really looking forward to this. Unfortunately, did not live up to expectations- sushi pictures did not accurately reflect the meal served and website was outdated with pictures of dishes that haven’t been served in years. Service was inattentive and slow. Popular appetizers were not available as the steamer wasn’t working. If you’re looking for an amazing sushi experience, save your money and go feast at Miso Phat in Kihei instead.
Post Covid menu was limited compared to our last visit. Food still excellent and the team top notch.
Spectacular view and ambience. Sushi was with great quality beyond our expectation to find on such a small island. Highly recommend.
Lunch was great. Great value, food and service excellent.
This is a special restaurant. The food quality is second to none and the service and ambiance is amazing. Morimoto’s soy sauce is worth the visit. Every dish was nuanced and perfect.
Morimoto was definitely one of the most wonderful dining experiences I’ve had. The food only got better as the meal went on, the drinks and service were superior to any other we’ve had on the island.
Excellent food and service!
We love to go to lunch at Morimotos. The service is wonderful. The food is consistently excellent regardless of what we order and the view is fabulous. Thank you to Crystal for all you do to make everyone feel welcomed.
Delicious food. Beautiful setting.
As we are finding everywhere…service personnel and in short supply.
Many of the wait staff at Morimotoo were doing on the job training and were actually clueless.
I am sad to say the service we had was very poor.
Very delicious! 25th Anniversary. Gorgeous views and wonderful food. Would definitely go back again.
The food was absolutely incredible. The beef carpaccio, tempura shrimp, A5 Wagyu, and sushi were all to die for. Everything was well seasoned and cooked to perfection. We even got to see a luau against the setting sun of Maui, which created the perfect ambiance for our anniversary.
Apps were great, sushi/rolls were ok
The food was excellent, the service was ok and the ambiance was really nice. I will love to go back sometime.
The place was dirty. Didn’t feel like a nice restaurant at all. Pool was right next to restaurant with pool goers walking through the restaurant. Birds walking all over eating scraps INSIDE the restaurant. I was expecting something super nice for the prices on the menu. Not the case.
Over the top great. Absolutely loves everything about it. Service was completely perfect. Staff was friendly, knowledgeable and totally on it with the recommendations and pace.
Wonderful location right on the beach and great staff. A little sad that the menu is missing my old favorites due to COVID shortages.
Great food - incredibly fresh fish and beautiful setting at the Andaz.
We celebrated our 20th anniversary with one of the most beautiful locations and food on Maui. Our food was beyond belief. One of the best meals my husband and I have shared in many high end restaurants over the years. We hard a hard time not ordering one of everything, and thanks to our attentive server we were able to focus our attention, although we did put a significant dent in the menu. We started with the the carpaccio(best I have ever had), rock shrimp and pot stickers to start. The rock shrimp tossed in two different sauces are not to be missed.
I had the braised black cod… wow! Tender, flavorful and cooked perfectly. My hubby had the ishi yaki buri bop, yellowtail on rice cooked at your table in a hot stone bowl. Very fun and so amazing. The tuna seared perfectly in the hot bowl right in front of us. The resulting fried rice from the searing bowl was unlike anything I have had. Although it was a struggle of room for the stomach, we couldn’t leave without trying the chef’s choice sashimi. It was totally worth it!
We wrapped up with the house made sorbet and ice cream. The flavors were so crisp and fresh the perfect way to end a delightful meal and treat the palette.
Even with COVID limitations, the service was impeccable and the food exceeded anything we could have asked for. Thank you to the collective work of all the Morimoto team to make this special night so memorable.
This was an amazing dining experience. Beautiful weather, poolside, and the luau show down on the lawn. The food was exquisite. Would come again in a heartbeat.
Honeymoon! Awesome restaurant for amazing food, drinks, service and ambiance.
The good: beautiful poolside spot for sunset views at the Andaz Maui Resort. Service was good. Food was good (outstanding Appetizers, especially the Sticky ribs; sushi was not amazing, but good; Black Cod main was good, too). Drinks good, too. The BAD: the pool next to this expensive restaurant ($100+ per person) is filled with unsupervised 7-10 year old kids. They shout, splash and throw balls (soccer balls!) during the prime dinner hour. If you are looking for a tranquil place to watch a brilliant sunset, THIS IS NOT THE PLACE. We got splashed twice during dinner. The restaurant has NO control over the pool and the hotel management does nothing to quell the out-of-control kids. There are other calmer locations in Wailea for "dinner at Sunset" experiences.
Everything we ate was spectacular. The appetizers were amazing, the sushi was some of the best we’ve ever had. The Peles Kiss was delicious. The only drawback was the ton of stairs we had to descend to the pool deck. We got a golf cart ride back up to our car.
The Cod was overcooked on the day we visited.
We celebrated a birthday at this beautiful restaurant. Food was delicious and the wait staff were very attentive and friendly!
OMG so good. Had the rock shrimp, sticky ribs, sushi and A-5 wagyu. Everything was delicious. A must stop if you are in Maui.
The service was AMAZING!!! They recommended a lot of delicious items and were very attentive! The food was AMAZING!!! HIGHLY recommend!!
Worst dining experience maybe ever. They were 30 mins late seating us. Which is understandable given a very busy season, and popular “celebrity chef” restaurant. But after sitting down the waitress was very loud, told us the kitchen was closing at 8:30pm and asked us if we needed more food before even starting our meal. Manager was consulted and we were told they were working at reduced staff. It was just a mess. It was almost like a very amateur “pop up.” Multiple servers tried to deliver food we didn’t order. It was more of an aggravating circus rather than a pleasant dining experience. Food adequate- not bad. But we would never return. Many better places on Maui with professional service. Such a disappointment.
Overall, it’s a fun place…but I sat next to a family at the pool while dining having a $300 lunch. Some of our food never made it out, so that was disappointing. We’ve eaten at another one of their restaurants, and this one didn’t quite measure up.
One of the best lunches of my life. Everything was so so good. If you like sushi- go here!
Food was great but we had asked for our appetizer to come out together with our entree. But the sushi came 30 minutes early. The food was all delicious but the pork chop took a while to come out
Food and service were amazing. We have been to several Morimotos’ restaurants. All of them have amazing food and service but I have to say this one has been the best by far. On top of the great food and service the views are spectacular.
An experience that shouldn’t be missed. One of my favorite meals ever!
Excellent food and selection of drinks. I was however incredibly disappointed by the service. Overall, we would return.
Easily the best meal we've experienced! Celebrated our anniversary with amazing service, great drinks, and a great atmosphere!
