Food is good. Not great this year which is what we normally experience. Seated inside which is ok but not great. We had a reservation and when we asked to sit outside it seemed like an inconvenience. Server had a bit of an attitude about him. He was curt in his responses. Impatient with requests. Just didn’t seem to want to be there. Was nice when he presented the check.
Very disappointing. We had a horrible table - literally rubbing elbows with table beside us. We requested another table but were to,d nothing was available. Wait staff were great - friendly but not intrusive. Food was just ok - oversauced & very salty.
Food, service, atmosphere was wonderful for my date with my husband of 26 yrs.
Excellent waitstaff and incredibly good dinner. Seriously considering going back during our stay here and would highly recommend to anyone!
The omakase was excellent. Service was good and staff were knowledgeable. Great views.
A woman chef in a sushi bar serves very well
Great food and service
Our reservation was for 5 persons at 8:30pm and waited till 8:45 to be seated. The restaurant was not to busy, there was another party of four waiting also.
The assistant server was prompt and delivered water immediately after we sat, and we were told our waiter will be with us shortly. We waited another 20 minutes when the assistant refilled our glasses and said he would look for our waiter. The waiter finally showed up and apologized and we were told he did not know he had another table. He did not ask if we wanted drinks and bythis time we were just ready to order anyway.
We ordered several hot and cold appetizers and a few rolls to share along with five entrees. The appetizers were solid, nothing to rave about but we enjoyed them. The rolls were simple, nothing more than you would expect from a decent sushi restaurant. Fish was nice and fresh and rice was cooked and seasoned correctly. The appetizers arrived in a timely manner as did all our entrees.
Our entrees arrived and we ordered four different choices. The ones that were enjoyed were the snapper curry, ishi yaki buri bop ( yellow tail) in which my son sad it was the best yellowtail he ever had and the whole fish was also a hit.
The slight disappointment was with the seafood toban yaki (seafood stew). First the broth was great, spicy and flavorful. I even love that the broth was so hot that it actually had to sit for a while just to eat but that is also what killed the texture and taste of the 1/2 tiny lobster tail and shrimp. Both very overcooked. The worst thing was the description said it had King crab, there was none! Skipping out on the highest priced ingredient is not cool. Wanting to enjoy the dinner we decided not to complain as its more about enjoying the evening sometimes.
Its not that the restaurant is bad, but really not up to the expectations that one should have at Morimoto. Maybe try again after other options, but I could not recommend it at that price point from our experience.
Not a good experience. Better service at McDonald's in the Philippines.
Had high expectations given our locale and the chef’s reputation.. The tempura was so-so. (Expected more of a Japanese twist—it tasted like walnut shrimp at a food court). The 30 piece sushi presentation was outstanding but the dish didn’t impress. Fish quality was just ok; sushi rice , while cooked well, was on the surprisingly salty side. When I see maguro on the pink side I know the tuna was gassed for transportation. Ambience outdoors was fantastic. We didn’t complain, just left unimpressed.
We went for dinner on Thanksgiving day. From the hostess' attitude to listening to the wait staff discuss guests, it was not what you would expect at the price point this restaurant is at. Finally. The takeout style chopsticks and lack of attention to detail was quite disappointing.
Fantastic food, excellent service (thank you Terry and Keanu). Memorable experience of a lifetime.
Eh. Food wasn’t nearly as good as other Morimoto locations. Service was fine — our waitress was nice but our table was right next to where busboys would gather and talk. It definitely didn’t feel like a nice dinner out.
Lovely dinner and service. Thank you very much.
There have been only a few restaurants in my lifetime that have made me say "How do they make it taste like this?" At tho top of that list are Paul Prudome's when it was in NYC and all of Morimoto's locations that we have patronized. As an added bonus we had a clear view of the stage during a Luau.
The best restaurant on the island!
No no non no non no no
Food was good but nothing really had the wow factor! Best things we had were the sticky Ribs and Hamachi tacos.
It was truly exceptional. The service was extraordinary and made the overall delicious meal outstanding.
We have been celebrating birthdays for several years now, and have enjoyed the ambiance and lobster roll! We do, however, miss the special birthday dessert treat.
Our most recent waitress was excellent: helpful, attentive, and friendly!
Went for a quiet dinner but that was impossible. Arrived at 7 PM and was offered a table outside which we said yes and then they said oh you’ll have to wait 10 minutes. So we said OK will take one inside. After 15 minutes and a fairly average clam miso soup, the noise was so unbearable with some mindless thumping tuneless music and people trying to scream at each other so they could be heard we asked to be moved outside.
We were moved to a table outside and our drinks brought to us. My wife was then given a dirty knife and fork which we then had to have replaced with a clean one. The service said G I don’t know how that happened.
After that the second course of sushi and sashimi was very good. Overall I would not go back. I got a lecture on how to use oshiburi and yet I have been to Japan more than six times. If this restaurant was in Japan it would be closed in five minutes. True Japanese restaurants are serene, reflective places and only the karaoke bars are the exception.
Service was that time slow and as I said the noise was crazy until we were outside where at least it was bearable. Would never go back I would recommend no one waste their time here. Highly overrated by others and not good value for money. As I said I travel all over and this was one of the worst experiences.
Hope this review helps.
Our meal was divine. I chose the chef’s choice omakase (petite 7 courses) while my husband selected some a la carte sushi and the whole fish. Everything was great, but if you are a foodie, go for the omakase; I felt like I was on Iron Chef!! There was not a single thing that they served me that I would not order again.
Having enjoyed Wagyu beef in Tokyo, my wife and I were really looking forward to this meal - we were not disappointed! The Wagyu and fatty tuna that we ordered were as good as, if not better than, what we had in Japan. Our server was attentive and helpful. We had a wonderful experience - it exceeded our expectations!
It was good.
The toro tartare was phenomenal!
The food was to die for.. and I don’t typically even like seafood. My husband was in sushi heaven with “melt in your mouth” fish. One of the best dining experiences we’ve had. Honestly, you get what you pay for when it comes to seafood and this food was beyond delicious. The atmosphere was intimate and romantic.
We had a delicious meal, service was very good and view was great. The server was great especially knowledgeable, and was great to work with our allergies.
This restaurant is beautiful and we were looking forward to a special dinner to cap off our amazing vacation. We have been to the restaurant in Vegas several times and always love everything about it!!
The service was so bad that we left after starters. We ordered sashimi/sushi and another appetizer to start. We didn’t receive our food for 45 minutes. We were never asked to order our dinner to get it cued up to follow shortly after. We tried to flag down the server twice but she went to other tables and wouldn’t acknowledge us. We had to ask for water twice. I was offered some fruit for soda water and it was never delivered. The busser dropped a sushi plate on my arm (accidents happen but with bad service this just added to the disappointment).
With prices like these you expect five star service.
Everything is top quality at Morimoto: Morimoto’s signature Pilsner, the tempura lobster roll, the Road to Matcha dessert, the service, etc. Best dining experience to date for us. Highly recommend.
Everything was great except I had dried rice in my folk that was sitting on my table. This ruin my appetite questioning what is the cleanliness of this restaurant.
Never the less we still spend nearly $400 on this dining experience but it was definitely a Debbie downer.
This is the third time we have been to Morimoto on our trip. Each time is better and we keep coming back. The service is outstanding, the sushi is fresh, and the drinks are well done. Overall, I love this place.
Sarah was an excellent server full of Aloha! She even took the time to request a golf cart for us due to some physical limitations. We wish there was an elevator closer to the restaurant and more vegetarian options would be great!
A very disappointing experience. We've been looking forward to this meal, including reviewing the menu ahead of time. But the menu is a poor reflection of the dishes. Also the food preparation quality was inferior. For instance in Duck Duck Goose, the duck breast was poorly rendered, so the skin was flabby and the meat chewy. Highlights were the sticky rib appetizer and the donuts for dessert. Big portions, but that doesn't make up for very high prices and under performing food.
Front desk check in girls were terrible but meal and service were outstanding..
Nothing new and exciting here, the same menu as always. Chefs sushi platter was well done, enjoyable variety. Rolls were just average. Claustrophobic dining room, service was cold.
A beautiful space for a special night. Thank you to server Sara!
Amazing experience from start to finish. I loved the service and every dish.
It was my 50th birthday and I had booked my reservations a few months before asking if we could sit outside. This request couldn't be fulfilled, unfortunately. The food was amazing, thank you. The service was slow and my main meal was ordered wrong. Everyone else's dinner was correct and came to the table while I waited for mine to be prepared. I believe that my meal should not have been charged. I didn't eat most of it because the rest of our group was long done their dinner when mine arrived. My husband and I came to Morimoto's 3 times in March. Wish I could have said the same for our visit this month. My meal did make for a very tasty picnic lunch at Big Beach the next day though, so Thank you.
