   Out with my wife for dinner. Placed order for appetizer (escargot and mushrooms) along with entrees. Our entrees arrived and I questioned about appetizer. Confusion from staff was apparent. My wife’s order (brisket grilled cheese) ended up being left on table for her and my order (seafood bouillabaisse) was returned to the kitchen. After waiting a couple of minutes wondering if my wife should wait to eat her meal, I asked a server to find our server. I then asked our server to return my meal and bring out the appetizer, whenever it was ready. I was told that the kitchen now wanted to remake my meal for me so it would be hot. About 3 to 4 minutes later my remade entree arrived with a noted low temperature broth. Couple minutes later the appetizer arrived. Received basic apology from server. Had to have server tracked down to get check most likely due to avoidance from embarrassment. A correction for these types of errors in the future should be continuous open and honest communication with frequent updates. I understand that problems will happen on any given night. Please don’t leave the customer guessing, then avoid them for the rest of the dining experience.

   It was restaurant week in GF while we were there so the noise level was pretty high. There were some families with younger kids who were louder than what we usually experience at Morgan & Co. That said the food and service were very good and overall it is a great pleasure to dine there. I had the lamb shank and the wife had the salmon. Both were perfect. We also both had a salad. She had the green salad and I had the wedge. The wedge salad is absolutely fantastic!!! Cannot recommend it more highly. Lots of bacon and the addition of apple slices was a great surprise. Desser was bread pudding which is always very good and did not disappoint.

   I’ll start out by saying all the staff were lovely. Very attentive, professional, and very friendly. I noted it was my husband’s birthday and they welcomed us was a warm smile and birthday wishes. The downside was in the food which was very middle range. I started with the French onion soup which was fine. Nothing to write home about but no complaints either. For an entre, I ordered the filet and it was so low quality my husband and I questioned if it was even a filet. It was undercooked for what I ordered and I could have asked for it to be heated more - that’s on me, but the quality of the meat just wasn’t good for the price ($41). I literally couldn’t cut through some parts with a steak knife. My husband got the she crab soup to start. Overall he said the flavor was good! But he was picking out small pieces of shell throughout. He said that’s fairly normal for that soup but it happened every bite which was out of the ordinary. For dinner he had the salmon and again it was flavorful but the execution was lacking. The skin was burnt but he was able to eat around the charred section. We finished with what was supposed to be chocolate mouse on their pre fix menu. What was delivered was the pot de creme from the regular menu (the staff said as much when he sat it down). It was fine by me I like pot de creme and it was good! But it was my husband who ordered dessert for his birthday and he isn’t a fan of pot de creme so it was a bit of a let down. Honestly the staff was so good that we would be willing to give it another try and hope it was an off day for the kitchen!

   We enjoyed Morgan & Co on a family vacation last year and we decided to return for a belated Valentines Day dinner. The hors d'oeuvres were excellent and especially we enjoyed their escargot, creamed Brussel sprouts, truffled deviled eggs. The live trio of musicians was a nice, festive touch. The reasons I could not give a 5 star rating include a 30 minute wait for our table, despite an advance dinner reservation being made. And both of our entrees lacked any flavor, to the point that I had to request salt. The gnocchi was watery and had an awful gritty texture, and my seafood stew was bland.

    This is by far the best restaurant I’ve been to in a long time. The building is beautiful. The service is absolutely amazing and not to mention the food! The taste was superb. Overall it is a wonderful place for any occasion

    Impeccable service from start to finish. I was dining alone and the hostess went out of her way to get me a table by the fireplace, I’ve never been to another restaurant that would have done that for a solo diner. My dinner was extraordinary and came out super quick. I had their bread pudding for dessert and the portion was so generous I couldn’t even finish it, which was a disappointment because it was so delicious. Their menu is always changing, I can’t wait to go back and see what they are serving up next time. Highly recommend if you are in the area.

    Waiter Darayl was very nice but the service was real slow. Steaks came out very charred and we ordered crown royal drinks and they ran out of crown royal. Our drinks came out the same time as our meals. Very slow.

    Superb service, our server was extremely friendly, attentive, and helpful! The food was amazing! Lasagna was incredible! My son ordered the prime burger and loved it. My husband had the shepherd’s pie and completely enjoyed it! It is a must place to visit!

    We ate at the bar. The noise level was down, due to not a full house. So, easier to socialize in there than before! The bartender was excellent and kept the water filled, too! However, the food has gone DOWN in quality. Wow. I usually get the INCA bowl. It was paltry. Bunch of rice now instead of hearty quinoa, 'vegetables' were: potatoes and a few halved brussels sprouts. Also, dinner salad with salmon now $30. REALLY??? Bummer.

    We have dined here many times and have always had a great experience. Last night we finally tried the chateaubriand (for 2). It was delicious - cooked medium rare to order. We had oysters (on the half shell)for an appetizer - they were small but very tasty. Love that they have 1/2 carafes of wine. We had a glass of white with the oysters and 1/2 carafe of red with the main course. Perfect!

    As always, everything was superb...the Bubbling Shrimp & Octopus, thwe Salad and the Morrocan Mixed Grill. Ant the Lion Tamer was an excellent complement to our choices and is reasonably priced. Morgan & Co. remains one of our favorites in the area. Never disappoints.

    This is about the finest restaurant in Glens Falls. The attention paid to ambiance and excellent service make it a one-of-a-kind experience. I have dined on the wrap around porch in the summer months and enjoyed seating inside the beautifully preserved interior of this historical landmark. The menu boasts an impressive wine list, and several specialty cocktails along with several beers. The chef takes great care in presenting a menu full of surprising dishes, seafood, salads and entrees with several gluten free options which was important for my food restrictions. The server was experienced and extremely accommodating on our special occasion. Highly recommend!

    First time visitors to this restaurant. Atmosphere is warm and cozy We ordered Chateaubriand for two. Food was delicious. Meat was nice and tender. However since the food is brought to the table on one serving platter it should have arrived with serving utensils. Upon asking, I was brought a soup spoon and another dinner fork. Ideally, the wait staff should have plated our food at the table and serving utensils should be left in the platter. Also, a nice touch for dinner would be to have tablecloths rather than paper place mats. While obviously more expensive, a dinner costing @$200. for two with tax and tip deserves this level of service. Implementing the above suggestions would bring my rating to outstanding. Thank you!

    Our meals were two of the best we have ever had. Salad was crisp and fresh, herbs were perfectly balanced, portions were plentiful, the entrees were exceptional, service was lovely and the waitress was extremely attentive. We look forward to dining at Morgan’s in the near future.
