Moretti's of Arlington Ratings and Reviews
Food has been outstanding for over a decade. We have never been disappointed with our meals. Our server was engaging and very personable, but he was never intrusive. Only negative is the table size. A booth for four people eating a full meal needs to be wider than an estimated two feet across.
We really enjoyed our experience at Moretti's. Everything we tasted was delicious from the bread and butter to the soup and our entrees. Our single complaint was that our server was slow to return to our table. She was very friendly and helpful! We just weren't anticipating a 90 minute dining experience. We will definitely be returning!
Food was really good and seemed homemade - I got the cheese ravioli, boyfriend got the chicken Parmesan. I liked the fact that all the pasta dishes were the same price. Only complaint was that the table was a bit small and chairs were a bit uncomfortable - I would request a booth if possible. I will definitely return next time I'm craving Italian!
I took my wife here for Valentine's Day. We ended up getting the best seat in the house - a romantic little booth for two with a partition on one side and a clear view of the fire place on the other side. It was the perfect thing for a snowy evening.
She got the lasagna and I got the Moretti; both were amazing. It was hands down one of our top ten dining experiences in the Columbus area and we plan to make our visits a regular thing.
This was our first time here. The food was outstanding. I ordered the Moretti and can't wait to go back for more. The Caesar salad was good, however, was very light on the dressing. So just know to ask for more!
We arrived five minutes before our reservations and were told we would have to wait an hour to be served since we were a little late. I politely pushed back and said that our reservations were at 5:00 and not 4:30 like they said they were. We were shown to a table near the door (because we were "late"?), so it was pretty cold. As I was getting ready to pull up our reservations, the hostess came back and told us there was a mix up and we were indeed on time. After that it was pretty smooth sailing.
The service and food were fantastic!
Maybe it was an "off" night, but we just did not like the atmosphere very well. Our server was good, but the food was just not that good for people who like authentic Italian. We had the Grandview Moretti's in mind, and it just felt nothing like the original.
This was our first visit. We were seated promptly when arriving for our reservation for dinner. My partner had a filet mignon and I had the veal marsala. His steak was so small it was served on a side plate. Good thing he ordered a side of Mac and cheese to fill up. My veal dish was okay. The veal wasn't as tender as I expected and the sauce was finished with too much cream in my opinion which took away from the dish.
We did see however everyone around us getting bountiful plates of very eye appealing food and we decided that we would return and order more typical Italian pasta dishes giving this place another try.
Bread and butter, soup, and my chopped salad were all good.
Our server was good as well.
They have a nice patio outside that we would like to try once weather warms up this spring.
This was our second time there. Food was so so. I tried the flatbread but when it came out it was cold and looked very unappetizing. Sent it back to have it reheated and it still wasn't good. Service was great, wine was good, atmosphere a little loud for trying to talk though. We will return though;)
My only gripe was that, on a Saturday evening at 6pm, the bar ran out of one of two single-malt Scotch selections ... the one I preferred after finding out they did not carry my preference.
Prices were good and food and service outstanding.
We shall return ... if I can bring my own Scotch.
I recently moved here from DC and have been struggling to find a local italian place that stands out. Moretti's is exactly what I was looking for. The pasta is handmade and you can taste it with each bite. Sauces are clearly secret recipes and the service is outstanding! The cauliflower appetizer and butter with the bread is delicious. We're looking forward to becoming regulars at this great restaurant!
A longer than usual wait for our dinners, and then one dinner was overdone.
Aaron (who was not our server) did respond quickly and took the cost of the overcooked
dinner off the bill so we appreciate that.
This experience was not the norm so we will be back. Usually we receive excellent food and service at Morettis.
I absolutely LOVE Moretti's. I first learned about them when I tasted some of my coworker's leftovers...is that gross? Since then I've been there 4 times. Everything I've eaten there is fantastic and very reasonably priced. Their outside patio is wonderful (you would never guess a place like this would be in the center of a strip mall) and their happy hour is definitely in my top 3 Columbus happy hours. Everyone I've taken here has loved it and wants to go back.
We thought we were avoiding the restaurant week crush by going to an old favorite, but they were involved. They had a great restaurant week menu which was too good to pass up. We have not been for a while and really liked the renovations since we had last dined there. Great neighborhood restaurant that I wish was closer to my neighborhood. I had a wonderful smoked salmon carbonara, and my daughter had a huge bone in pork chop. Each was prepared perfectly. The special restaurant week chocolate cannoli was a perfect end.
Some of my dinner was good & some just ok. Ordered 3 course meal during restaurant week. Pork chops were moist. Mashed potatoes needed more gravy. Power slaw/salad had barely a drizzle of dressing. It was like eating broccoli slaw out of the bag. The fig bruschetta was really good.
First Time Dinning. If you are looking for that hidden gem for Italian Cuisine, Moretti's is that place from the large wine selection to the wedding soup to the option of small plates on you entree and finally the desserts all very good. Spilt the Spicy Sausage Ziti, and the Beef with Truffle Ravioli with my wife and both dishes very good and we split the Tiramisu for dessert
The main entree meals were all delicious. We had a party of 6 and we all tried each others meals. The only concern was that I do not eat pork and when we asked what the meat was in the Italian wedding soup they asked the cooks, they said they weren't sure if it was pork or veal. I was surprised that you wouldn't know what you made your own food from. The waiter was good, gave us a free canoli for celebrating our birthday with them. Overall it was decent.
We have been to Moretti's a number of times and the food is outstanding. They changed the interior since we were last there, and now it is noisier and does not feel quite as intimate; this is unfortunate and detracts from the experience. Fortunately they did not change the food, which is the best Italian we have had in Central Ohio!
Our server was terrific. Very attentive yet not overwhelming. From bread/butter, appetizers to our entree the food was great. The mainstay, spaghetti and meatball was spot on! But our highlight was the appetizer list that included brussel sprouts and cauliflower. It was a a great meal.
Who would have thought that the best Italian Food in Columbus is tucked away in a small strip mall? Moretti's of Arlington, continues to be one of the best little restaurants in town. Make reservations because it fills up fast! No flash, just great service, great food, and a great wine list. The homemade ravioli is my favorite, followed by the Eggplant Parmesan, but everything on the menu is fresh and delicious. I especially like the fact that you can choose a large or small portion, and the small portion is more than enough for most. Not a wide range of desserts, but what they have are large enough to share, and very good.
When dining at Moretti' s..you can be sure of great food, great service. No one will "rush" your dining. You can have a real conversation...without raising your voice.
In the Spring,Summer and early Fall...you can dine outside in a lovely patio...and in the winter...around a lovely fireplace.
The Food Was Amazing. I ordered the Chicken Moretti pasta and friends ordered the Giant Meatball and the Veal Meatball as well as the Beet Salad - All were GREAT. It was a tight fit in the booth at the bar due to hand bags and coats from 4 women - But not to feat the server brought a chair and put it at the end of our table and All was better!
Great family run restaurant tucked into a strip mall. They have a nice outdoor area for warmer weather. We love to walk here, take advantage of happy hour, and have a good meal. They have small plates, good appetizers ( try the meatball) and really good, made from scratch pizza.
Everything is out dated here except for the patio...which is obviously closed during the winter. The carpets, table and decor are just kinda gross. On this particular visit I had the beef and truffle ravioli which was inedible due to the overwhelming amount of salt in the sauce, which in itself was oddly oily yet lumpy with a slight crust on the top, maybe from sitting under the heat lamp? Service was ok, although there seemed to be some confusion about who was responsible for our table. There was also some woman walking around, maybe a floor manager, who was just really loud and 'talked' to servers from across the room, over our table. She looked like she needed a couple more cigs. Anyhow....
My partner loves their risotto (which she said was over salted but not as bad as mine) so I'll probably go back for her unless I can find another place with good risotto to take her too. Suggestions?
