We went for pre-usc football game meal. Abbreviated menu for game day, food was brought out quickly and was very tasty. The Fig was extremely busy and servers were harried and understaffed. Cocktails took 20 min to be delived. Didn't order a 2nd round, waiter said line was too long in the bar. During regular hours, this would be a great place to dine. Get there early on game day, and don't expect a quick meal. Our server Scott, was nice and did his best. We appreciated that

We loved everything about this place. It felt like a high end dining experience but casual and comfortable and absolutely lovely all around. We were pleasantly surprised that the prices were so reasonable. What a wonderful surprise to have cocktails not cost $25! We will definitely be back! Don’t change a thing!

Even if you are not on the USC campus, it’s always worth the drive here to dine at Moreton Fig. Love the patio, the food is delicious, and the staff is warm and welcoming!

We come here before USC games. Last week was so great, but today horrible! Had to send my Cheeseburger back two times it was raw instead! Just ate fries and cornbread which were good. I understand it’s busy on game day But you shouldn’t be sending out raw food!

My reservation was for the outdoors patio, but the hostess told me it was unavailable when I got there. The establishment helped themselves to a 20 % tip, which was added to the bill. When I informed them that there was an unauthorized charge on the bill, they said I had no choice but to pay it. I won't be back.

Food has deteriorated and so has menu choices. They add a 20% surcharge for everyone and don’t tell you. It was only 60% capacity for the game while Mckays was full. It is obvious they are failing and they show it. Very sad as it has been a ritual before every game but they are not worth the convenience. It was no wonder it was so easy to get a reservation a couple days before the game.

For years, our USC football game day tradition has been a meal at Moreton Fig before the game. Menus were always limited, but (in my memory) always included vegetarian and healthy options. Yesterdays menu included a burger, batter-fried chicken, some kind of fish, and a "Game Day Special" brisket sandwich. Sides were (if I remember correctly) truffle fries and cornbread. I was forced to have a salad. I don't have anything against salads. I love them. But I didn't want one yesterday. I wanted a heartier meal, perhaps a veggie burger or grilled chicken. My husband ordered a burger, and asked for fries along with it. Theburger came with chips or salad, he was told, although he could order an "appetizer" of fries. I could only get cornbread with my salad. I've never had such heavy cornbread before. I could actually feel the weight of even a small slice. It was studded with jalapenos (which MAY have been indicated on the menu), and came with a side of "hot honey". Silly me, I thought "hot" meant temperature, not a layer of chilis on top. VERY disappointed with this visit to Moreton Fig. I do hope that they will revive the tradition of posting the Game Day menu on their website or social media pages. The service, however, was fantastic!

We had a group of 10 people with reservation during our lunch break (12-1pm). We waited for the food for over an hour after we were seated. By the time we finished our lunch was over 1 hour 45 minutes. By the time we got back to our office it was over 2 hours. The bill was not clearly identified that a mandatory 20% tips were included. The services from the helper was very good. It would be better to let us know, in advance, the wait time for the food.

I had the Ahi Tuna salad and my colleague had the Bolognese and both were delicious! We had the Pacific Rim mocktails before lunch (a virgin Mojito) and it was so good - very light and refreshing. We will be back!

Disappointed by the lack of vegetarian choices. Only one vegetarian entree. No veggie burger! In 2023 Los Angeles, it is shocking to hear that there are no veggie burgers. Overall the menu is lacking. For a beautiful restaurant, the menu needs a major overall.

We ate outdoors, which was perfect. The food and the service were both good. I would be at five stars, except they still add in the gratuity. This time, at least the waitperson circled it, but the final credit card bill still had a line, under the previous total, for a gratuity and suggested mounts. Adding a gratuity for a group is understood. Adding one for two people and then asking for another one in the credit card round is not understood. We have become aware of it and I no longer give two tips. But it seems less than honest for an otherwise nice restaurant to do that.

The venue is nice, we were there for lunch on a weekday at 11:45, so pretty empty. The server was very nice and helpful. The food, however, was not very good. In other reviews people had mentioned the bread, but there were only two choices--a corn bread or a bruschetta. We ordered the cornbread, and it was not good. The main courses were fine (caesar salad and hamburger). The server recommended the key lime pie for dessert--and that was awful. There was no citrus flavor at all, and the consistency was sticky (like melted gummy bears)--it was terrible. They removed both the cornbread and the desserts from the bill. I would not recommend going back there.

The cheeseburger was quite good but the bun was cold and the meat kind of cool. It may have been sitting around to be picked up but the pickup might have been late. The server was excellent, as she I always is.

This is an on-campus restaurant. I dined alone. It was a Monday late afternoon and very quiet. Perfect right before a campus event. Ana provided excellent service. My stone fruit burrata tostini, side salad and chicken sandwich on brioche bun was very good. Quite fresh. The menu has a handful of offerings. Mostly a lunch menu.

The food and the service were excellent. The only flaw was that they added a tip to the bill and then the following printout did not mention that. So the two of us added a tip. They know perfectly well what they are doing. They are hiding the fact that there was already a tip added. This was not for a large group, either. It smears an otherwise pleasant process with an unmistakable smell. Yes, if we would have totaled everything carefully we would have noticed. We did not do so until later. We will stop recommending the Fig.

This restaurant was selected because it's a more upscale sit-down restaurant on campus open to the public. Haven't eaten there in years. I was a bit disappointed. The cornbread was very tasty. The grilled tuna salad acceptable; tuna pieces a little thick and not as fresh as I like. Did not like the key lime desert - too sweet. I wanted to park in McCarthy parking structure to take advantage of $10 back offer described on website but lot was full and that offer wasn't extended to other on-campus parking structures. It should be.

My friend didn’t expect the Romain to be as a whole leaf on the plate with the large anchovies (Cesar salad). For the value it was not as impressive or yummy. Make note you will be charged automatic 20% gratuity on your recipe. So if your splitting the bill look first before you add 20% additional by mistake for tip.

The food and ambiance were great! The service was good, as well, however, a 20% gratuity was added to our bill when it was only a party of 4 and there was nothing on the menu or on their website that says this is standard practice for everyone. I can't help but feel that this was an isolated incident where our particular group was singled out for some reason. Our group was having a departmental lunch, so this was pretty disappointing. I wanted to email the restaurant privately (but there is no email provided on their website) to express my concerns about this, as it's not appropriate or standard practice to do this, and had I asked, legally they would've had to remove the gratuity. For the record, the server would've been tipped appropriately, regardless, but it's not right to add the gratuity automatically for a party of 4. Disappointed!

I love Moreton Fig! I may seem biased, as I am on campus at USC quite frequently, but honestly I would go out of my way to dine here! The service is always welcoming and friendly, and the food is fresh, inventive, and delicious. If you are anywhere in the USC area, treat yourself to a delightful dining experience at Moreton Fig!

The Seared Ahi Tuna Salad is quite good with 3 large ahi tuna steaks. Wish they would bring back the bread served on request.

The Caesar salad was wonderful. The portion was large, and the Caesar dressing was excellent. I had the seafood catch of the day, which was baramundi, and it was excellent. The wine selection is limited, but the prices are a bargain.

Although our reservation confirmation stated that we would get a $10 refund for parking on the USC campus, neither Moreton Fig nor the parking office would provide the refund. $20 to park on campus for dinner is too expensive. In addition, the actual menu is only a small portion of the online menu. What I had wanted to eat was not available. However, the servers are attentive and it’s a convenient place to get a sit down meal on campus.
