The waiter didn’t serve the food courses as we asked and he promised. Pasta was a little cold. Meatballs were great! Staff that greeted us was awesome!!!
Ambiance was lovely. Beautiful decor. Server excellent. Disappointed in the food
There are A LOT of Italian restaurants in NYC. This is my favourites. Love this restaurant. When in New York, I always make a stop here. With kids and without kids, it’s a great place to go.
While we didn't have a bad experience at Morandi, we didn't have an exceptional one either. The food was good, but not worth returning to. We ate outside and definitely should have gone inside because it seemed the atmosphere outside was not up to the same level of inside. We noted in our reservation we were celebrating a birthday and our waitress did not make mention if it. It was just many little things added together which made it a place I don't need to return to.
Well-prepared classic Italian food. Beautiful burrata platter, served on two plates because we planned to share, lovely pasta with lemon sauce, and a delicious agnolotti made for a memorable meal, we dined outdoors with a friendly and helpful server looking out for us. I had a wonderful Prosecco with passionate fruit juice, probably my favorite pre- dinner drink of all time, We have been to Miranda before...and it has consistently made us smile (as did the check...which was not NYC over the top by any means.)
Morandi is always one of my favorite go to places. The best food and great ambiance.
Always love the food at Morandi. It's a little too loud for me inside usually, so best to sit outdoors when the weather permits.
Took forever for a waitress to come to our table. We had to flag someone down. Then she was slightly rude. Love this restaurant but was disappointed this time
The service was most inattentive and lacking ... had to wait for the server for long, despite the restaurant being empty and on;y 2-3 other tables occupied ... the server also had a terrible attitude. Asking for water or a refill of coffee was such a chore for the server, and the dishes and cups were removed before we were done. This will be my last visit to Morandi.
Molto bene! Awesome restaurant with amazing atmosphere!
I think the place is very noisy but the food and the service is very good
One of the best Italian restaurants in town! However, it suffers the same problem like other NYC restaurants: too much noise :-)
At Morandi, we enjoyed the lovely warm room, and the service was outstanding from start to finish. Food was very good -- all of us enjoyed our pasta dishes. Portions were on the small side but reasonably priced. The scallop ravioli was the stand-out. Desserts were the weak point of the meal and will be skipped at our next visit.
Food was delicious! Portions were the perfect size. Service was very nice! Was able to sit outside and the ambiance was so great!!
Always great to have dinner at Morandi. Food and service are excellent.
Never dissapoints....food was fantastic. Table outside was perfect.
Great experience. Waitress was aware of our surroundings and helpful in speeding up our dining experience.
The food and service were excellent. We had foccacia flatbread starter and the Cacio e Pepe for an entree. Both were great.
Morandi is always consistently great! The ambience , decor, wait staff are always on. Great cocktails and even better food. We had the octopus which was perfectly cooked without a hint of chewy. Richly flavored yet not over powering. The hand rolled spaghetti is perfect as well. Pasta cooked perfectly then simply flavored and delicious. The Orata was moist and flavorful. Perfect meal . Get the fritters for desert although you can’t go wrong. The pastry chef hits them all effortlessly! My go to place
Everything was very good except for one dish. The salmon was completely over cooked. The rest of the food and the service were very good.
Food was bland (cacio a pepe and the psto pine nut pasta as well as the eggplant parm.), not super impressed.
Visiting and having dinner with family.
Went for last minute dinner and hadn’t been to Morandi in a long time. I remember it being much better :(
All our food was magnificent and the staff was attentive and sympathetic to our desires. Great experience.
Brunch with my wife
Same old bad table gets seated first complaint I have about every restaurant.
Delicious food, great service
People at the front were nice enough, and our server was great at the beginning of our meal, but didn’t really come back to check on us through the meal. He cleared our plates, and gave us dessert menus. We decided against dessert, and he was friendly and took the menus away. And then never came back to give us the check. Never. After 15 minutes of being ignored by everyone in the place, we finally flagged someone down who printed us a check and told us our server was outside. No idea what was going on there. We paid the random guy and left and I thought that was was really annoying. The food itself was just ok. The best thing at our table was my grilled chicken. The pastas were sub-par. Also, the noise level in there is insane. Had to shout to my table mates. I won’t go back.
This place was awesome - great food and affordable in a very cool location!
Amazing food and ambiance
Lovely place, was a little disappointed with the food. It was more average than what I was expecting for Italian in New York.
El lugar extremadamente ruidoso. Las pastas no son nada del otro mundo. Lo más ricos los agnolotis.
I expected more from Morandi's food. The linguine vongole was very basic, almost without any taste of vongole.
Great restaurant to enjoy excellent food with a very attentive, support team to make their dinner guests comfortable!
Two dinners at Morandi over 6 days, as preclude to Village Vanguard concert. Pasta is exceptional. Service outstanding. It's loud in there, but that's more a testimony to the popularity. I suppose if we want a hush hush ambience we'd need to go to USVI :)
Oyster appetizer is amazing. Succulent with flavor. Creatively presented and in taste. Calamari good, tender, though quite pale in taste. Cannelloni desert very good.
Love the decor. Overall, will go back there regularly as part of the Village Vanguard routine.
Great food and service! Caprese salad, homemade pasta dishes and the lasagna were excellent.
I love Morandi, it is pricey but it is one of the best italian places in NYC.
Cacio e Pepe for life!
My family was visiting me in New York City for the weekend and we are so happy we chose to eat here! This is, without a doubt, the best Italian restaurant we have all been to. The service was incredible: the waiters paid great attention to us all without being overwhelming. The food was fabulous! We each got a different pasta dish and we’re extremely happy with what we got. It’s clear that this restaurant serves great homemade pasta. I will definitely be coming here soon!
