Perfect meal on a beautiful fall day. Everything was lovely from being greeted by the host to the cocktails and to the delicious cacio e pepe. Morandi is definitely a neighborhood gem.
fresh simple ingredients make for an amazing dinner. Linguine with clams and the perfect negroni. You might as well be eating fresh pasta in the Italian countryside.
Morandi is my local go to, but the tables are getting a little too close for comfort. They have the space - space them out! Otherwise fab as always.
Baes first Morandi and our anniversary dinner
The food was incredible as usual - tagliatelle alla bolognese was the highlight. Service was wonderful, was there for a business dinner and we ended up staying at the table longer than expected and we didn’t feel rushed or as if it was an issue.
Good service, food and atmosphere...always enjoyable and my neighborhood go-to spot!
This was the first family meal in months - great to be eating outside in an unseasonably warm November evening. The distance from other tables was enough to feel comfortable. Somewhat high noise but manageable. Food and wine were great -definitely try the fried artichokes - and service was very efficient and friendly.
Our reservation was at 10pm and we got there around 10:05pm. The waitress got our drink orders first and then came back 5 minutes later trying to rush our food order while we were still looking. We were still deciding on what to get and as we were looking at our menu our waitress keeps telling us “the kitchen will close soon” 4 times. I understand the kitchen is closing soon but that doesn’t help me what I want to eat. I was trying to ask about the foods but she was rushing me and basically ordered for my table. I don’t recommend going late because I felt pressured and ended up not really enjoying the food I got. The portion is small and very overpriced.
Awesome food, service, vibe, as always on a bright sunny day! All outdoor tables full & bustling w/ plexiglass separators, indoor tables very well-spaced & adhering to COVID-safe distances. Food delicious as always...love the meatballs, fresh asparagus salad, & tender grilled octopus! Efficient friendly service despite being so busy.
Consistently one of the best Italian restaurants in NYC. And the friendliest staff ever!
Love this place! Service & food are outstanding!
Always love it here, the food, service, and my date had a great time:)
Great food and service, they even offered us dessert on the house.
I had a wonderful lunch at Morandi. The bibb lettuce salad, the cacio e pepe and the hazelnut chocolate cake were all just delicious. The service was excellent and I enjoyed the nice outdoor seating.
Poor planing with reservations and tables
You need heat lamps!!!! Was freezing. Buy them!!!
Delicious meal and fantastic service!!
Always love Morandi. Service and food always good and excellent management.
Always a pleasure eating here. Great vibe, delicious food, smart service.
Was always a big fan of this place but I was worried the quality may suffer because of the virus but it did not food and drinks are still awesome!
My husband called this his 'boys night Italian spot.' it's fun and lively and gets a great crowd. The food was average ok. Cacio e Pepe was very yummy and the Negronis were strong but I didn't find it outstanding. Its a good fun, weeknight hang out spot and also good for large groups.
Superior customer service. Thank you for going the extra mile with the octopus redo. The food & drink was delicious. Love the homemade pasta. Caesar is. Great server. Wonderful dining experience. Cheers.
Excellent service and food
I've always loved Morandi, and they have done a great job of creating a safe environment, as well as a delightful one. I've missed their "cacio e pepe," still the best in the city.
Incredible service and delicious food! 10/10 would recommend!
An old fav. Never disappointed. Would return as often as we can.
Our server could not have been nicer, but for the money, there are dozens of other brunch spots with far better food for a lot less money.
It was also a bit clumsy...I ordered a tea and my friend ordered a coffee. We had to ask three times for Splenda, and when they finally came through, they showed up with one packet total for both of us.
Beautiful environment, great food , great service
Food was great and as I remembered pre-COVID. There was good spacing between all inside tables and had plexi-glass partitions for outside tables (even though it was much more crowded and not 6 ft between tables). However, it felt like we were being rushed and were only there for a little over an hour in full so I wasn't sure what the rush was all about. After every portion of the meal, we ordered an appetizer, mains and a dessert + 2 round of drinks, people would try to clear plates several times before we were finished eating. I felt like I had to have a fork in hand and on the plate so they wouldn't try to keep taking the plate or asking if we were done. That was probably the only issue but kind of made our meal less enjoyable.
The lemon pasta was so good! If you're on the fence because you think it might be bland, GO FOR IT! You won't regret it. Also the wines are delicious :)
Great! Perfect evening!
Although I would recommend Morandi to a friend and my brunch experience with a friend on a recent Sunday was delightful overall I must mention disappointment with the asparagus mushroom frisee salad. Honestly it was so skimpy, with just a few wisps of frisee over very small amounts of asparagus that could have been canned and mushrooms, it looked like someone's leftovers. For $15 it was unacceptable. On the other hand our egg dishes were excellent with generous portions. The ambience was lively as usual.
Got there on time and we were promptly seated. The weather was better than expected and we were able to sit outside instead of inside like we had made the reservation for, which was nice. However, they said we couldn’t sit in the sun, only parties of four could, but they changed that rule for other patrons. There was no menu barcode on our table, so we had to wait a few minutes for them to provide us with one. We were not offered any hand sanitizer, but we had brought our own. The bathrooms were also available for use inside, a plus during COVID. They forgot our bread and brought it to us along with our meals, after the appetizer - I didn’t ask for it but I suppose better late than never. The clams were very, very sandy; I almost complained for my spouse but didn’t want to deal with the hassle. The meatballs I ordered were average, nothing special. The calamari dish was a bit exotic because they include two whole shrimps and some small fish, but overall seemed low quality. Also, the waiters mistakenly had his elbow in my drinks, touching my straw, while taking food away. Again, I didn’t want to have the hassle of complaining so I just let it go as I was almost done with my drink anyway. Overall, a pretty poor-to-average experience these days.
We had a fun dinner
No social distancing. Tables far too close together and people crowding the hostess stand and sidewalk.
They made a small mistake on our order and could not have been nicer about it!! They didn’t need to apologize so much! Plus, the food and atmosphere was great. We’ll be back!
As always, a NYC favourite, although this time seated outdoors. The restaurant has done a great job with Covid-19 - my group of four total did not feel unsafe, the space was pretty and comfortable, and the management created the same buzz. Great food and great service. Well done, Morandi!
