Food was excellent but if you are a vegetarian, there's very little to order. The bruschetta has a weird combination of chopped beets on goat cheese on peasant bread. But the shaved brussel sprouts were excellent. Food is not generous. That was the complaint of 3/4 members of our party...
Excellent food and great atmosphere. As is always the case, greeter is never friendly, but the waitstaff made up for it.
Great food great ambiance loved the tagliatelle special with white truffle
Thanksgiving early dinner was very good choice. Price fixe if you wanted traditional holiday meal, and regular menu if not. Tagliatelle bolognese was delicious. Grilled octopus app was over grilled- black and dry. Brussel sprouts and turkey perfect. Tiramisu rounded out a great meal. Service was great. Will be back.
Maria was an attentive, efficient and sweet waitress! The food was incredible! Thank u for making the holiday a success!
Outstanding! Roberto, the manager/host , was amazing. His good looks are only matched by his professional desire to make your dining experience sensational. I must also call out Francisco our waiter. He was on top of everything and so attentive without being intrusive. I have eaten here many times and the food is always great and the ambiance is perfectly styled. I have many “trendy “ places come and go but have been going to Morandi for over 10 years and this type of consistency is what makes a great restaurant!
This was my second visit and sadly the food was not as great as it was 2 years ago. I had the linguini Vongole and it was perfectly edible but just a bit tasteless.
Not overally expensive. I did wait an extra 25 minutes on the reservation time to get seated
Morandi was a fun and energetic place to have dinner! The food was amazing, the waiter had insight into drink preferences and what would work best for our group. 10/10 would recommend.
Impeccable service, nice portions and delicious food !!
Really disappointed. We booked at 8:30 and had to wait more than 30 minutes. Then the service was slow, as the restaurant was really busy. All of this for a good good but too expensive for what it is.
They packed the restaurant with table like crazy to make more money and made it a horrible experience. Tables of different parties are 2 inches away. Horrible experience, never again
Great Italian food, atmosphere and service! Brought clients here and they loved it too.
We love Morandi! Recommended to us by a chef and restauranteur. Wonderful service and very friendly. The food is delicious. We will be back again the next time we are in NYC.
This couple next to us was so rude! They ate their entire meal and when the waiter came they complained about it and wanted new pork chops. The waiter and manager had amazing customer service and did everything right. The couple literally just wanted a free meal. The woman was tipsy off wine, very sassy and very demeaning towards the staff and her boyfriend. Her boyfriend was extremely embarrassed but never said a word. It was so sad and frustrating to witness.
Overall the staff was fantastic and food was good.
great service, food was wonderful, highly recommended! On weekend reservations a must!
Got sat at the smallest table directly next to the bar. People were bumping into us the entire time. Service came to us maybe 3 times in the whole hour and a half. No one refilling waters really. Food was alright.
Really like the ambiance, good to meet friends there. Very small portions for what you pay though. Not sure if it would be different for dinner. The brunch was good, but we left still hungry.
I have eaten at Morandi before Nov 16. I brought a friend for a new dining experience. She was delighted, as was I.
My favorite pasta in the city is Morandi’s Pici al Limone pasta.
Bustling place with great service and food. Even though the place was extremely busy you feel very well taken care of by the staff. Food was exceptional and the meatballs will definitely get me back. Only drawback is that the noise level is very high which makes conversation a little bit challenging.
It was a fun meal. I expected better food I would return.
Hugely fun! Rustic decor transports you and well executed classic dishes delight.
Morandi passed my expectations. The people were terrific, accommodating and friendly. The food was fantastic and my guests were equally impressed. It delivers.
The dood was good. The servers excellent there was a ton of trash under the table when we arrived. I told the busboy because it’s foul.
I eat at Morandi often. Never weekends mature de busboys servers all very polite and sweet
As always, great service, great food, and a really fun evening. Perfect for groups as well as a romantic dinner, depending on day and time.
Food all very good to excellent. Unfortunately the restaurant was so loud you couldn't hear yourself think. Dinning kinda tight with too many people crammed into the space. Both myself and wife left with a headaches.
We had a great experience on a Saturday night. The restaurant had a great energy. The bar and table service was excellent. Very professional and attentive. We had a table of 5 and lots of dishes which were all perfect. Pasta, Fish, Salads - all amazing. Constructive criticism is that the table space is tight and the placement of tables is a bit random. This is a must go restaurant!
We had a wonderful time. The service is very good . They offered us 2 glasses of wine because they were very busy, and late 20 minutes..the food is perfect.
Very nice place.
We’re early diners. The food is almost always above average. From Friday — Sunday the place is super loud with lots of little kids doing what kids do. Not a problem for most, but worth knowing.
It was excellent. I highly recommend.
Morandi offers warm, comfort, Italian food - but certainly not boring. Great spot to get all the classics - the dishes are full of flavor and the staff are great if you are in for a quick bite or want to linger and finish the wine. Great spot in the neighborhood, always full of energy.
The restaurant was full and had a great ambience. But the noise is loud and can make important or detailed conversations difficult
We have been to Morandi several times before and have enjoyed the food and the atmosphere in the past. This time, our entrees were brought before we had finished our starters. No apology, just a pile up of plates. It was difficult to enjoy the rest of the meal.
Way way too noisy. Bring your noise canceling headset
Overpriced drinks: $20 (SMALL) MARTINIS !! $18 GLASS OF WINE
Overly dry halibut, however, delicious meatballs!!
My friend and I were visiting NYC for the weekend and decided to come to Morandi for a later dinner. We were not disappointed and had an fantastic dinner. Service was excellent, food was fresh and very delicious!
Prosecco was chilled to perfection.
We had an awesome night. Our server was fantastic, the food and drinks were outstanding, and the place is beautiful. My only complaint is that it is unreasonably loud. They really need to install some sort of sound absorbers.
