Housed within Lilian Rice’s original 1923 structure, Morada restaurant pays tribute to that early “house of many rooms” in name and homey atmosphere, which has made it a social center of the Rancho Santa Fe community. Helmed by Executive Chef Chris Haas, Morada boasts a seasonal menu of coastal ranch cuisine paired with a handpicked wine list, craft cocktails, local brews and the laid back elegance of California ranch lifestyle.

The food and service were great. Will definitely be returning again.
Really enjoyed the evening. Morada shows up incorrectly I think on apple maps so we ended up at the back and it was hard to find Morada (no real signage) but it was worth looking for! Great service, great food.
We have been here for brunch and lunch, but the dinner was only subpar. Drink was mostly alcohol with no no flavor. Chicken and fish were over cooked but not so bad that we should have taken it back.
Service was good.
It took an hour to get our food after we were seated. Waiter never refilled coffee or checked back after serving our food. Food was cold. The ambiance is wonderful and we have dined here many times. This was the worst service we have ever had. Waiter had long hair and tattoos, don't know his name.
Gosh, it was such a disappointing experience for our New Year's Eve dinner. Our first time dining at Morada, it came highly suggested by friends.
The lack of staffing was a huge negative impact on the evening, starting with an abandoned Valet station (which the restaurant was unaware of) Signs were out, folks waiting in cars, no one ever came. Then there was a line to check in for dinner. The staff was literally running to keep up. When we booked were told they hold a table for 10 mins only. It took us 15 mins to check-in. Once seated our dining experience took a little over 2.5 hours. I was offered a free glass of wine after my meal finally arrived with cold sides and meat overdone. It had to go back. Luckily we were in good company and understand the impact of short staff. We tried to keep it all in the correct perspective. Unfortunately, our bill did not take into account our patience or perspective. Our special occasion dining experience missed the mark. Beautiful decor but for some reason, the flameless candles and fireplaces were not lit.
Stayed at hotel 3 nights and severs knew after one day what we liked and and anticipated our requests. Quality of food excellent and chef willing to take special requests.

My friend and I were looking for a festive place for a holiday lunch and the Inn at Rancho Santa Fe checked all the boxes. The restaurant was decorated beautifully and our server, Mitch, did an outstanding job. He recommended the steak sandwich, which was delicious.
I am so delighted you enjoyed your lunch with us at The Inn. Thank you so much for taking the time to share these kind words with us. We hope you had a wonderful holiday season. Warm Regards, Dulce Santiago-Montoya |Outlets Manager

I've been dining at The Inn for more than 60 years! It never disappoints. Five cousins had a beautiful Christmas Lunch and it was delicious and delightful. The servers went out of their way to be helpful and cheerful. The Inn is still a Classic!
morada was an excellent spot to celebrate our anniverary!
Meal ingredients were fresh and tasty. Service was terrible. Even with a prior reservation and arriving on time, the staff member who seated us was rude verging on hostile. Waiter was friendly but disappeared after taking our order. Was impossible to track down for further service. Provided two credit cards and asked the bill be divided 50/50. He returned the cards with separate checks but it had been divided one-third/two-thirds. Had to go to front desk to ask for help with correction. Very frustrating for a simple order of two identical salads, one glass of wine and two coffees. Could not have been easier.
Everyone and everything was great!
Always like dining at Morada but this time the menu had changed up and it was even better than before. Delicious! Love that it is dog friendly as well.
Love the Inn - relaxed, good food, great service. Will go more often.
Love the ambiance, cozy comfortable seating. I wasn’t super impressed with the menu but my husband said it was some of the best lobster he’s ever had. If you’re looking for steak or surf and turf then you’ll love it.
Morada used to be the place to go to. Outdoor tables are beautiful. Indoor not so much, plus no Holiday decorations. Service was super slow, food was average, not worthy of the past excellence.
Much better choices are available.
Met girlfriends for lunch. Our server was fabulous. The food was good. The wine prices were high. Overall, had a great time. The server made the afternoon.
The waiter was very helpful with recommendations. The food was delish and although the menu is small there is a nice variety.
Food in general is just okay to subpar (fish was over cooked and was supposed to be blackened but wasn’t).
Very disappointed with my Reuben sandwich ... meat was very tough, dried and tasteless ... worst Reuben sandwich that I ever had!
Would have sent it back but since our guests had a limited time for lunch so I didn't, but really should have done so.
New menu was great and this is one of very few restaurants where they don’t blast music and you can have a conversation! Bravo!
Great evening at Morada, which we love! This gem at The Inn at Rancho Santa Fe is excellent. Great vibe and good food. Really enjoyed the lamb and duck tostadas tonight and our server was excellent!
The restaurant overbooked reservations and so the kitchen was swamped. Food took an hour to be delivered, and wait to order was unnecessarily long as well.
A beautiful outdoor brunch with excellent food and attentive service. We will be returning.
Birthday on the patio, beautiful sunny day, fantastic food and excellent wait-staff…what could be better?
Outstanding as usual!
One main dish cold. Poor show. Should have removed item from bill
Our server, John, was exceptional. He ran after us with my sweater and then had to run after us with our credit card. We were just so relaxed and happy with our dinner and the service that we forgot everything else.
I am so glad you had a wonderful visit with us. We hope to see you again! Dulce Santiago-Montoya |Outlets Manager
We love your restaurant and your servers. Always pleasant and professional. We’ll see you again soon.
Ambiance good, food is just average
Service is horrible
A beautiful park-like setting for wonderful food and excellent service.
Love this spot!
Very disappointing for our anniversary dinner - or for any supposedly high end restaurant. Waiter didn't stop by for at least 10 minutes after we were seated. Didn't even get water for 25 minutes and that was after we ordered it. Low end service - main courses literally dumped in front of us right next to empty appetizer plates, no effort to remove them - we had to ask. Wait staff did not notice missing cutlery or lack of sweeteners for iced tea. Indoor dining area was freezing cold with generally a complete lack of ambiance. An attractive fireplace was not lit. Only saving grace was the food was very good, but without ambiance and good service we won't return.
In short, I would not return. Sorry
We were seated inside rather than outside, so there was no view of the lovely grounds at the RSF Inn ): The interior is rather bland and needs more interesting decor and fresh flowers - especially since we were two ladies celebrating our birthdays. We both ordered the chop salad with chicken, but there were hardly any pieces of said chicken...and the few morsels in the salad were overcooked. The waiter was sweet, but seemingly overwhelmed and forgetful about salad dressings, exchanging cold coffee for hot coffee and the coordination of our birthday dessert. Oh well ):
Always enjoyable. Good food. Friendly service. Quiet. Cool. Sunny pleasant
Food, service and outside table great!
