Ate their on a quiet Sunday night and everybody loved their food!
The food was very yummy and the portions more than ample. Server very friendly. Great evening
Fantastic Place that I didn’t know existed. Will definitely be back!
We have eaten at Morada for years and have always had a great experience. We booked their Valentine dinner at the start of the month. We booked at 5p which is when they started serving. Not many people were there when we arrived but they set us in a table that wasn't ready outside. Turns out this table was immediately (and i'm talking >3' away) at the door. At first not an issue then as it filled up the constant door slamming ruined a potentially great evening. And to make matters worse they we setting heaters outside but not at our table. I had enough and went to talk to the manager. He just looked at me a mumbled an apology. Another women came out and talked to us and again we mentioned no heater and the temp was in the 50's. Still no heater. I kept propping the door open but all in all it was a miserable night. The thing that really bugs us is the manager did everything is his power not to do anything at all. Lesson learned. We will go someplace else now.
The view is spectacular, the food is very good, and the service is excellent.
We have eaten here many, many times. Today however, was not good. The service was excellent, as always, but the food was terrible. Every single one of us was served food that was cold!! My toast was toasted only on one side. It was awful! It is very easy to make toast! Two of us had Lattés that again were served luke warm. This has gone from being our favourite breakfast place to one that we are not sure we are going to visit again xx for quite some time!!
Crowded and louder than I expected. There was live music which was great but added to the noise level where it felt like I was yelling across the table. Food was delicious but not over the top. Service was average.
We have tried Morada twice. It has the potential to be an excellent restaurant but the service is beyond terrible. There is no attention, it’s extremely slow and no follow up. My short rib was less than room temperature. I could not even notify the server because she never even checked in on our meal.
Hard to get waitress attention. Sat for 15 minutes before being greeted. Food took a long time. Overall just slow and inattentive this particular evening.
Outstanding service and ready to accommodate any requests. Great food quality and cozy/warm atmosphere- old world charm. Will be back often!
Reasonable pricing for the area.....meat items pricey.
We were concerned since our reservations were later in the evening with a buffet, it surpassed our expectations. Nice selection for everyone's tastes, we loved the deserts. Chef Haas came out and chatted with us and the service was welcoming and personal. Our server Max was enjoyable.
Very comfortable and exceeded our expectations for a special occasion. Thank you!
Great place to celebrate any occasion.
The decor is lovely and service superb.
We go there frequently and it is consistently
Amazingly lax attitude by staff. Slow service. Old and worn tables, etc. Roof leaks (Rained for two days, so they had a few leaks). Probably considered "quaint" by some. Breakfast the next day, saw a different part of restaurant in daylight. Really worn down. Service didn't get better.
Service is slow here but the food is very good.
Impeccable service, outstanding wait staff and ambiance, great food. We will be back!
Most of us liked the food but three of us did not.
My fish tacos were awful- small piece of dried out overcooked fish. No sauce, a little cabbage- absolutely tasteless.
The street corn accompaniment was ok.
The other gal had the ahi sandwich which she said was rubbery and also had no taste.
Probably won’t go back.
Went to brunch and encountered post wedding party tent take down and very loud guests. It changed what we normally enjoy about this location.
The outdoor patio was a beautiful setting for a wonderful lunch.
We sat outside for our anniversary and very much enjoyed the meal and ambiance. Service was great up until dinner was served, but then we waited so long for our second glass of wine that we got up and went to the bar to get it ourselves. The drinks were comped so they remedied the problem. Overall, though we enjoyed ourselves.
Amazing on all levels...Mallory was outstanding!!!
Great food and desserts were amazing, only negative is more staff needed as service a little slow, however we all had a wonderful evening and will be back -:)
Food was very average with spare ribs not cooked long enough. We all agreed that it was below average. They remodeled also and the place looks an old saloon with curved leather seating areas. They went from open to confined dining. The desert chef is the one bright spot. She is from Mille Fluer where she was the pastry chef for 25 years.
Just a wonderful venue for a Wedding Anniversary Dinner!!!
Unfortunately this one was a mess. The serving staff are very nice kind people it just appeared they were trained on the basics and how to serve at a high end restaurant. Also my Cajun shrimp was not good, and the rice was undercooked and hard. Beautiful restaurant though.
Food and service better than usual. This is such an iconic and beautiful location. I only wish the management was more inspired to do better. The menu needs improvement. However, because the location and venue are so awesome, I always return.
Gorgeous day for sitting out on the patio. Waiter did not bring any bread which would have been nice since my client was 15 minutes late.
We requested a quiet booth for our 56th anniversary and it was the most secluded and quiet booth in the restaurant so very pleased. The steamed clams are magnificent!
We had a great dinner wit h fantastic service.
The only let down was the dessert was not up to the standards of the rest of the meal.
Always enjoyable sitting on the Patio for brunch, or any meal. Service and food was not as good as usual. Staff friendly.
Beautiful setting, we chose outside dinning, which was well appointed
BEE PROBLEM. We were went to this restaurant so that we could enjoy an experience OUTSIDE. The environment would have been lovely but we were swarmed by bees who sat on our bodies and our food. The restaurant was kind enough to bring me another lunch but it happened again. We finally picked up our own plates and moved inside. To add insult to injury, the restaurant has 2 charges for the same lunch pending on my credit card. I called the restaurant today to let them know what happened and manager said they have a problem and she doesn’t like bees either. Restaurant offered no compensation for our unpleasant experience or the duplicates charges on my credit card. Would not return there.
I have not been to Morada in a long time and it exceeded my expectations! Food was fantastic, service was wonderful and the atmosphere so relaxing. There was a small bee issue outside on the patio but they moved us inside right away. I have a food allergy and the chef was very accommodating in checking what food had the allergen in it. Only off item was valet - they needed another person to help.
I will definitely go back!!!
Reception excellent. Table service good. A beautiful spot.
Been coming here for many years. The venue is so special. Service can be sketchy. Menu needs a boost. Needs an updating .
The cocktails are always well done and great wine choices.
Service was awful. Took 20 minutes to get drinks and over an hour for dinner. Food came out cold.
Friday evening dinner for four. After spending a lovely 30 minutes sipping cocktails in the Huntsman Bar we were greeted and ushered into the main dining room at Morada. Drink orders were taken promptly but didn't arrive in a timely fashion - in fact we had to get up and inquire what had happened to them as our server disappeared. Okay. It happens. But then, main courses were also late and when they arrived it was obvious that they had been sitting for awhile (you know when luke warm mashed potatoes get that "we ain't moving" consistency). Fried chicken was ok. Vegetable pasta was not good. The other main courses were average. All in all, not what you would expect from as lovely a spot as the Inn at Rancho Santa Fe. Recollections was past visits (pre Marriott) were higher standards. Disappointing as we were considering the venue for a wedding in 2020.
