Been there about 8 times in last 2 years. love love . Always a good meal.
Nice atmosphere. Very clean throughout. Courteous and attentive staff. Good food and good price. Definitely worth returning for any occasion.
Dinner was great but the temperature in the restaurant was quite cool. Not comfortable for dining
This is our favourite restaurant in Niagara Falls. Love the ambience, moderate lighting and funky/jazzy kind of music in the background. Wednesday night is date night - two three-course meals including wine for $60. Hard to beat. And the food was terrific - schnitzel for me; chicken pasta for partner. Fantastic mystery soup that involved lemon, chicken and rice. Everything is prepared in house, the bread, the desserts. Just a wonderful place, and with a nice little bar area where we intend to drop in just for a drink some evening.
We have visited this area on several occasions and by far this was our best dining experience. Our server Brenda was very personable, helpful, and attentive not only for our dining experience, but also in answering any questions concerning our visit to Niagara Falls. Thank you Brenda. We all chose a different entre, the food arrived hot, beautifully presented, and delicious. The pork chop was about two inches thick, moist, cooked to perfection. The creme brûlée was one of the best we have tasted. We certainly will return when in the area again, and highly recommend The Moose and Pepper to friends travelling to Niagara Falls.
My girlfriend and I went there for our first year dating anniversary. It was very romantic, quiet, and delicious.
Great olive foccacia, bruschetta with feta was a great appetizer. Varied menu for all tastes.
Went on a Tues. for the first time and now we are returning on the Sat. too treat our niece who is coming to town....can see using the restaurant as our go to dinning place.....
Nice and quiet setting. High quality food for reasonable price.
We found this restaurant off the beaten path on our trip to Niagara Falls. Food, service, atmosphere, and wine were all exceptional! We will be back on our next trip 😊
Very nice atmosphere, food very good, everyone enjoyed the food and you can have a conversation without yelling, wish they had more gluten free options and dairy free
We ate at the Moose and Pepper twice during our four day stay in Niagara Falls, service was great, food was very good and we liked the ambience and ability to have a conversation without shouting over background noise. Pizza was very good and my husband loved his rigatoni and sausage special, pumpkin cake dessert is outstanding.
Delicious food and great service. A must try!
My husband and I were on a weekend getaway to the Falls and tried Moose & Pepper for our first night's dinner. This place is warm and inviting and sets a romantic ambience. Our server was friendly and attentive without being intrusive. The food was amazing. They start you off with their fresh made olive bread that they make on-site - delicious. My husband had the veal parm and I had the daily feature which was two pieces of breaded sole with lemon butter sauce. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and our time here. We'll be back!
So glad we visited Moose and Pepper. I can't find anything negative about this place, the food and service was superb and the ambience was quite inviting. I believe the chef came over to us and asked how we were enjoying our meal, that's always a nice touch. We will be back.
We went to this restaurant after seeing that it ranks as one of the top ten restaurants in Niagara Falls according to TripAdvisor. The food however was below average, appetizers and main course. The service was decent though.
We decided to try a locals place after dining at a touristy spot the night before and being very disappointed. We were glad we did. Our waitress was very attentive and gave us some good recommendations. The chef prepared our meals with care and everything was delicious. The portions were generous but we left not a crumb! The bruschetta was yummy, the pork chops were excellent as was the Greek salad and fish. The pumpkin cake was full of flavor.
I am a local and have been to The Moose & Pepper several times. I would, and have, highly recommended it to friends and family, whom have dined there on my recommendation. Great appetizers and menu choices. The food is very good, large portions and you have the option of choosing a smaller portion. Reasonably priced and a nice casual atmosphere. Love the BYOW with free corking on Tuesdays.
The servers are very friendly and attentive.
Overall, this restaurant was good. Although slightly pricey, the craft beer selections were great and the food was good. My partner said that the steak was one of the best she's ever had. Being vegetarian, I ordered the stella pizza. Although good, it was not what I was expecting. As a dish, it was very well made, however had they used tomato sauce instead of pesto sauce, I believe the result would have been much better.
Overall, a good date place with good beer/wine selections and good food for a *reasonable* price for a special occasion/date.
Looking to try a new place while visiting our daughter at college. The menu options were interesting, loved the lobster cakes appetizer, but the pita three dip appetizer was not great. We all loved our entrees and the live jazz entertainment was great during dinner (not too loud)
Very nice, lived up to our expectations. Very friendly waitress and chef came out to check if we were enjoying ou meal, nice touch.
I enjoyed the evening. The food was very good and we were able to relax and take our time.
I will definitely return to try something else on the menu. When I made the reservation I did mention it was for my friend 's birthday and I was a little disappointed that her dessert was missing a candle or a sparkler. It would have been nice to have this acknowledged.
Charming little restaurant out of the tourist track. Interesting menu with food well prepared. Nice wine list, reasonable priced.
This is a nice restaurant in the town area about 3 miles away from the tourist area. Short drive is worth it. The food was very enjoyable. They have a nice outdoor seating area and the pleasant music they play adds to the ambience. We went on date night which happened to be date night . Their date night special included two appetizers, two main courses, a shared desert and a bottle of wine for $60 canadian which made it a real value. Their normal menu prices are better than the tourist area restaurants. The service was good and it made for a very enjoyable night.
Wow what a great find! Food was amazing with gluten free options. We will be going back for sure.
Beautiful contemporary atmosphere and great food. Service was excellent and staff friendly.
You will not be disappointed with the menu or the service at the Moose & Pepper. Well worth the drive from St. Catharines and Fort Erie respectively for the two of us who had lunch.
Our dinner was basically ruined by the very loud and obnoxious table of women which we guessed was a bachelorette party. It was very disruptive to our dinner out.
The food was good and our server was nice enough to move our table, which really didn't help.
This was not our 1st visit and always the food was prepared to order. Veal chop medium rare perfect.
Have recommended to other friends who had the same great dining experience .
Will definitely be back for more.
My compliments to the Chef
This was an amazing experience. We had a Spanish student visiting and it was his last night so we wanted a special treat. The food was very creative... bison burger with a blueberry salsa and our pizza's were awesome. We will definitely be returning and we are celebrating our 25th Wedding Anniversary next year and trying to work this in!
Usually the food was great but this time the veal was bland.
Nice enjoyable place
Good food for a nice evening
The food and service were both excellent. It was our best meal while in Niagara Falls. The French onion soup and cream brûlée were both exceptional. The service was also exceptional. The chef came to our table to make sure everything was to satisfaction. I would definitely go back often if it was close to where I lived.
I have been to Niagara Falls 4 times and this place was probably the best overall dining experience I have had on the 4 trips. Awesome find.
Loved reading about this restaurant on Trip Advisor. Our wait staff, Cindy was so friendly. Really liked the menu. We loved that it was out of the touristy part on Niagara! Would love to return to this neighborhood gem!
Fantastic menu, fantastic food. Unbelievably delicious and will definitely be back many times. I have to try everything.....especially desert. Highly recommend this little Jem
Our waitress developed an attitude early and performed slowly to the point of ignoring our table.
We went for dinner. Very nice. Soft jazz in background. Service was fantastic. Chef came out to see how everything was.
I found lthis restaurant by accident and decided to try it. Service was great. Food was delish!! Wine is a little pricey though. I give it a 5 star and will definately return. This was my first time.
Great food and amazing service!!!!
