Very disappointed in my experience. The food was just ok, my husband had the chicken dish which was good and my son and I shared the seafood stew. He’s 8 and loves seafood but has a small appetite so when we see this dish on a menus we usually share it. The portion was very small, the plate is taken up by a half lobster but if you don’t eat the thorax, which we don’t, it’s just presentation. We had half a lobster tail and decent piece of fish, 6 shrimp and a few clams. Nearly all of our clams were closed so we couldn’t eat them.
Overall it just felt like a bland dining experience, the wait staff was inattentive, not bread service, and we were actually going to go to the hostess stand and have them charge it to are room because we sat for a while just wondering where anyone was. It over all felt like a quick service dining experience and not at all like fine dining and certainly not worth the price for the food.
Moor at Gaylord was absolutely perfect. The staff and atmosphere were very pleasant and relaxing. Our waiter was very attentive but overly attentive so we could relax and enjoy our meal. The seafood stew, and filet were absolutely done to perfection and I would highly recommend. We I’ll definitely be returning.
Service was Excellent! Ambiance was more beautiful than I expected. Fish was cooked to perfection! All of our food was delicious and fresh! We would most definitely recommend!
Oh lord! Amazing! Service, food, place everything was especial. I loved it! Lo adoré.
Service and atmosphere were just outstanding. Menu was creative. Execution was awful, the food was just plain bad
We had a lovely time at MOOR.
One of my favorite restaurants - great food and wonderful drinks, lovely environment - inside though you feel like your outside so weather is never an issue!
Food was ok, price high, sides should be served with that price, salad buns etc.
Food was delicious and fillet cooked to perfection. Service was great too!
Food is not good at all , service is so bad
Sat for 20 minutes and didn’t get water, another table got served water that came in after us. We left
Avoid. Posted much more detail on Yelp, but here’s the highlights:
- OpenTable reservations are accepted during closing hours. You risk receiving the dreaded cancellation call.
- Drinks and food are good but nothing stellar for the price point. I have no problem with a $200 meal, I just prefer it be worth $200.
- Many menu items not available due to support “food quality” issues. Not actually a negative point; it happens, and it’s always better a restaurant proactively maintain quality standards and not serve bad seafood to me.
- Service was prompt, but lacking. In particular, being told we needed to make final drink orders before our entrees showed up was disappointing. Service was rushed. Server change (informed at beginning, to be fair) is very unlike what I would expect at any fine dining restaurant.
- Food allergies beware: Server must not understand this, no knowledge of menu options, did check with chef but it appears to have not gotten passed along— gluten-free order delivered not proactively confirmed as gluten-free, no questions from chef, and 100% sure we had gluten in that meal, evidenced by physical symptoms and the following downtime and cutting our plans short.
Go with Wreckers if you’re captive at the Gaylord, or Bonnett Creek hotel restaurants if you’re looking for nearby fine dining. I’d give every one of them five stars.
Beautiful atmosphere and the food was delicious.
Waited a long time, steak was raw, fish was raw. They didn’t care all that much.
Our server was fantastic . Young our server was great
Explained our meal . Price was high but we will be back . We are local . This was a stay vacation and was fantastic .Thank you , Young .
My wife and I ate here for our 1 year anniversary. It was a wonderful experience all around. The atmosphere was very unique and lovely. Our server was incredibly kind and engaging. The food was simply outstanding. I cannot recommend this place enough.
Was a very nice dinning experience. The oysters and the fish were amazing.
Food was amazing and service was exceptional !! 10/10 recommend !
Good was so overpriced and not enough. Limited menu
Was a rough start. My daughter and I were put in an inside table next to a large very loud party when there were so many empty tables elsewhere. Yes we had reservations and I noted it was a special occasion which was never acknowledged. We asked for a table elsewhere and they seemed put out. Next table was better but even further back inside away from the beautiful boat. Service was great after that. Food was good. Swordfish was dry but the filet was perfect!! Drinks at 17-20 each was a bit pricey but good. The restaurant and hotel were gorgeous. They valid the 28.00 parking with dinner over 50 which was no problem. The parking attendants were super cool and funny. Enjoyed chatting with them. Great job guys.
Great atmosphere. Pricey. Good service. Exceptional hostesses.
I was a guest at the Gaylord Palms resort and decided to eat dinner here. I had the grouper but it was nothing to write home about. The dish was overpriced for sub par food. It almost seemed like it had been reheated.
The service and food were excellent. Our server Oana was very attentive.
Cooks must be apprentices @ $9 an hour. Barcwasceven worse.
Great experience and food! My kids loved eating on the sailboat 😊
great staff was very nice! they were able to get us a table on the boat which was nice
First time visiting the Gaylord Palms and MOOR restaurant. AMAZING! Food was delicious, ambience was gorgeous and the service was absolutely wonderful. Cannot wait to return 😍
The whole dinner experience was fantastic! We sat on the boat, and the ambiance was perfect. Our meals were delicious, and I highly recommend the shrimp pasta. Wonderful all around!
It was a wonderful dinner. The food was amazing and our server was excellent!!!!
I had the Filet with Brussel sprouts and carrots with truffle mash potato.
First the Brussel sprouts were not fit to eat. They were cold and not cooked. The skins were so touch you could not stand them in your mouth. The carrots were raw and uneatable. The mash potato was served luke warm and lacked seasoning.
I will say though who ever cooked the filet did an outstanding job. Cooked to perfection.
Wish I could say for the rest of the meal
As far as recommending eating at Moor, I would recommend. My wife Grouper with risotto was very good.
Every thing at the Moor restaurant from beginning to end was wonderful. The meal was great,I had a bone in ribeye and it was cooked to perfection, the way I requested.Same with my husband's filet mignon. The potato and veggies were also perfect.I had a dark beer and it was very good.It might be on the higher side of price but well worth it.
a beautiful place, very romantic, family friendly. I got the seating in the boat.
Food was delicious, our server was very attentive. Yes it was busy and loud but that is to be expected with the large conference we are here for.
Everything was fantastic and the food was even better
Beautiful venue with equally good food. The ambience was exquisite, and maintained a comfortable energy that allows business casual and formal to coexist peacefully. Service was also excellent. Not a moment went by that wasn’t savored at this venue.
The food was phenomenal, we didn't have a single complaint. Service was great as well, everything was timed well from when the appetizers arrived all the way through our meal our server didn't miss a beat. We were able to be sat at the boat which is so beautiful. It was raining and we were able to watch the storm while enjoying our meal. We'll definitely dine here again!
The service was incredible. We eat regularly at nice restaurants and the food here was not worth the cost.
Service was superb and food was delicious!!
