Created by the owners of long standing restaurant COBBLESTONES of Lowell; Moonstones is named for the pearly moon-like precious gem and oyster native to New England. Moonstones celebrates global bonds—the moon, the sea, the love of food, wine and revelry. We invite you to celebrate with us the worldly influence in all elements ranging from our local, creative raw bar selections, to our tapas designed for sharing life with friends in mind, to the bread we bake fresh each day to accompany our ‘crostini’ selections. Our creative cocktail menu draws inspiration from various international favorites, as does the carefully selected beer and wine list. Our design seeks to promote celebration, or just relaxation, in a local, sophisticated atmosphere to chill with friends. Think global, eat local.

moonstones offers two semi-private and private dining areas. Just removed from the action of the lounge, our semi-private Chef's table is well suited for parties of six to eight. Whether you prefer to order our numerous tapas and crostini selections in a continuous flow, or sit down for a traditional plated meal of filet and lobster this area is ideal. Our front room is also an excellent space that can comfortably seat up to twenty five. In addition to selecting an assortment of small plates to start, family style cuisine is prepared to order. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact our banquet manager and we can work with you to plan the perfect event for any size party or occasion.

Had an amazing night out with some girlfriends. Loved the cocktails and we shared small plates. Everything was delicious and even looked beautiful.

We sat at a high top at the bar this time. I was a bit worried it would be loud but even busy it was easy to hear each other. Food was great. Service attentive enough but not in your face. But those bamboo straws... be gentle or just drink out the glass!

The food quality was excellent, but we were very dissatisfied with the service. We were happy to be seated in a quiet side room, but then a family with two loud toddlers was placed next to us. There were many open tables in the other room, so we asked to he moved. The waitress said we could not move because those tables were reserved. A few minutes later, another couple in our room asked to be moved and their request was immediately granted. We don't understand why we were forced to stay in a stressful room while others were allowed to move. This made our meal difficult to enjoy.

as always the service was perfect and the food was wonderful! For quick tapas dinner and drinks to special occasions Moonstones has always been a favorite!

It was an interesting fusion restaurant, but for the prices I think you can get better quality food elsewhere. Also it was a very quiet night, and service was still painstakingly slow, 30 minutes waiting for a drink at an empty bar is ridiculous!
