Moonshadows Ratings and Reviews
We had a wonderful experience. The restaurant is comfortable with an outstanding view of the sunset and the ocean. The food was prepared beautifully and our server Vanessa was perfect. This dining experience was excellent. We are looking forward to our next visit.
I took my wife here to Celebrate our six months of being married. Everything was great from
The service to the food and the ambiance. The only thing that would have made it better is when i made reservations i let them know it was our anniversary and they told me they would bring out a desert with happy anniversary written on it. We didn’t get it unfortunately.
Amazing view, delicious food, good selection of cocktails and superb service. The food was delicious. I think this is one of the top 10 romantic restaurants I've been to. I highly recommend seating on the patio. The views are fantastic. We went to 4:30 PM dining to experience the sunset which was fantastic.
The restaurant allowed a table of school girls to sit next to my wife and I and when we asked to move there were no tables available. Our evening was ruined and my wife’s 62 birthday was a disaster because of the staff. Not recommended and never going again.
The view at sunset was incredible. The service was outstanding. The food was a disappointment. My husband ordered the Pork Chop, recommended by our server, which was over cooked and dry. I ordered the Gnocchi which was to include pieces of scallops. There were no scallops in my dish. The party we were dining with did enjoy the Clam Chowder, Tuna and Lobster Salad.
The bread was burnt and I ate some of it. This left a burnt taste in my pallet which did not go away so all the other food had a burnt after taste to me. unfortunately due to this I don't think I can really rate the quality of the food. Also the butter they gave out with the bread was frozen and made it hard to spread onto the bread.
I have been to this restaurant several times before and always looked forward to going back......not any more. The customer service was appalling from the moment we walked through the door with the girls on the front desk chatting away not even bothering to acknowledge us for a good 25 seconds. We then were sat down and from that moment we were constantly rushed by our waiter to choose a wine, choose our starters and our main course. We dropped hits that we like to take our time, enjoy the experience etc etc but he didn’t get it.
We sat down at 8.20 and by about 9.55 he was asking if we could settle the bill as he’d had a long day and wanted to finish his shift. The worst $250 I’ve spent in a restaurant. Will never go back. There are lots of restaurants along that stretch. Time to find a new one.
We arrived very early and the bar staff was great. They kept us updated on table availability while we enjoyed the beautiful view. Table service was excellent too, the server provided good advice to help us decide. We were very happy with the food and service.
View is to die for but i sat on the wrong side of the restaurant (dark and dingy) instead of sitting on the outdoor terrace with light bright outside furniture. Service was outstanding and the food tasted like it was reheated from yesterday (generally wilted and sad looking) otherwise it was cool to hear the waves crashing and see the sun set. Could not have been a nicer waitress.
Arrived a little early. We were seated right away at a table across from the window tables. My girlfriend, her Birthday, asked if we could move to a window seat. At first they said no, but then came and said okay because it was her birthday! View was great, service was great, food was excellent! We will be going back soon to enjoy the food and view.
I plans to take a friend for his birthday. I requested a table outside and also told them it was a birthday celebration. They accommodated my request , table outside overlooking the ocean, the service was amazing. It was good ambiance and my friend truly enjoyed it. I would definitely go back.
This is a very nice restaurant overall. Staff is super busy during weekend but are very helpful and attentive. We were happy with every dish and the view is great. The cocktails were a hit n miss: my 1st passion flower was perfect, and 2nd wasn't the same too sweet. The mojito was good, but the ice cubes they use for rum on the rocks need to be larger (melts too fast).
My husband and I were celebrating our first anniversary. We requested to be seated with an ocean view and that is what we got. We loved our table. I ordered the pork chop and my husband ordered the ribs. I loved my meal, especially the mashed sweet potatoes! I could eat buckets of those. My husband did not enjoy his plate at all, the mashed potatoes tasted like they were made from a box (I tried them too) and the ribs were bland. The ribs tasted like pot roast. He ordered a roy rogers and that too was not so tasty, the coke tasted very watered down. Overall we really went there for the experience, dinner by the sea was a real treat. It's too bad the food was not up to par. The couple next to us also did not like their meal.
We've been to the resturant in the past and had nice experiences. This time felt rushed by the waiter, and the food was average at best. We were celebrating our anniversary and thought the ambience and view would add to a nice experience, yesterday the ambience and view were the best parts of the day. I'm not sure after this experience we will ever return to the resturant.
