9.5/10, really great spot for a nice dinner. Call ahead for a reservation! The views are amazing during Sunset. The portions are a bit small, but ordering an app, entree, and dessert will fill you up. The drinks are great! I highly recommend the Strawberry Field.

Recently visited Moonshadowsfor dinner Nice ambience and excellent waiters. Food was very good but not outstanding. Dessert was excellent Tiramasu ! Octopus app was great also. Main courses were decent. I would recommend going there but its pricey . We have high standards for seafood being from the east coast. Malibu is a pretty place .

Love Moonshadows, have for years. A definite go to for date night around sunset. One of the best sunset views on the planet. Prices are quite reasonable for the location. The staff is usually very attentive, not so much this time. We had a hard time keeping our water glasses filled, hence the lower rating for service. First time for my date. Wanted her to feel special, but had to flag down the wait staff for water. A little embarrassing after hyping the place so much to her. Still it was a lovely evening with a fantastic young lady in a fabulous setting. Thank you to the staff. Finally, please accept my most sincere condolences to the Bullo family. If there is anything I can do please feel free to contact me.

We went for a weekday lunch so it was quiet. Window table inside a very casual space. We had wanted an outdoor table but the sun is very bright out there at 1 pm. Clam chowder was great. The crab cake arrived under-cooked in the center and was eventually replaced with a delicious hot crab cake. We had the pappardelle with short ribs and the rigatoni with crab and lobster which were both good. Nice piemontese white wine by the glass. Delicious apple pie alla mode, served in a large plate decorated with "Happy Anniversary" especially for us. We stayed, feeling very relaxed for at least 2 hours. It is so great to just stare at the ocean, especially with good food and wine, and very nice wait staff. Nice place for a special occasion within reason--just under $100 each with tip. We would consider going back for just appetizers and drinks.

From the time we arrived at the valet parking we were greeted with a friendly welcome and a smile. We ckd in with the hostess and seated at our requested table with an ocean view. We ordered drinks and for appetizers we order bbq octopus and oysters which were Succulent. For dinner we had the black cod and seafood pasta. It was our friends birthday so they brought us a complimentary desert and a small bottle of champagne ! Everything was amazing. Can’t wait to go back.

Nice spot. Probably would have enjoyed the view more if it was daytime or dusk. Food was good not great. But the ambiance is definitely kickass. I would definitely recommend visiting.

Took my dad here for his birthday dinner and it was amazing!! Absolutely gorgeous view and service was amazing. Food was good, just wished there was more of a variety of desserts (like more chocolate options). Loved how they made a birthday plate for my dad and added a candle too!!! It was amazing and will definitely be back for another celebration.

Best clam chowder: not too salty or heavy or thick, just right. Lobster avocado toast was delicious. Crab and shrimp salad so so. Dessert was chocolate soufflé cake which was ok. Coffee not bad. Service was attentive. View was spectacular on a clear sunny day. Worth the 45 min drive!
