Our dinner was wonderful. We sat outside and our server was so helpful and lovely. Will be back!
They were out of oysters, that is very unusual, maybe a supply Chain issue but President Biden is taking care of that. Look forward to next time
My daughter was in town for the weekend and we both love seafood . We loved everything we tried.
The halibut was overcooked. Not just a little bit.
The food and service is fantastic. Noise level is loud but fun.
Restaurant was out of ceviche. I ordered the fish and chips and I literally got 2 tiny pieces of fish. Left hungry.
We were seated promptly when we arrived on time for our reservation. The staff was friendly and the food was very good. The highlight of my night was the off-menu drink that they are working on naming, which was a very well balanced cocktail made with house-infused tequila.
Very good experience from the drinks to the service to the food. Made for a wonderful date night. We will be back.
Server started out great but quickly appeared distracted with other needs inside and felt very rushed. Examples- poured first glasses of wine from bottle, but never addressed after- we had to get up and pour; walked away in the middle of dessert order- we got one of the 2-3 we intended to order as a result; brought check without clarifying if we were done.. a really good start overshadowed by a poor service experience. Of note, three outside tables appeared to have three separate servers- didn’t make much sense in having multiple folks coming out intermittently rather than someone dedicated to the tables and getting it right.
Our fav neighborhood date night spot!
Service and food was outstanding! We will be back. Thanks everyone
Everything was nice, the only problem was they didn’t have the wine I ordered.
Our visit tomorrow like cut us to celebrate my husband‘s birthday with our two daughters and their husbands… We arrived a little before our reservation time… And was told at the table ahead of us was taking A long time… We were offered a round of drinks… And we were seated approximately 45 minutes later… The manager was very apologetic and even sent over a couple of appetizers… Our meals were delicious as always and our celebration was wonderful… What could’ve been a not so fun evening was turned around by the manager and the staff… Montlake Cut never disappoints…Thanks so much
Great food just so warm in the restaurant it is hard to enjoy
Food was ok but service was very good.
Service was impeccable. Drinks and food were delicious. It is noisy so if you want a quiet romantic atmosphere this is not the right place for it. We had a group dinner so it was great.
Great service and great food. What more to say?
45 minutes late for reservation
This is the best seafood meal I've had outside of Contramar and Pujol in Mexico City. Baked Chilean Seabass was fresh and incredibly tasty with browned butter and stewed tomato. Anchor steam mussels were also noteworthy. Even my wife's burger exceeded expectations and was cooked perfectly. We ate a lot, including drinks and dessert, and got better value out of our selections than a comparable meal at Perla's or Clark's in Austin. Hostess and server took great care of us. Best restaurant I've ever eaten at in Dallas. Highly recommend.
Great customer service, delicious food, inviting-atmosphere with good vibes.
A wonderful restaurant with a soul, great energy, gracious service, and wonderful food and drink. Enough said.
Food is always excellent here. It had been awhile since we ate at Montlake Cut due to the pandemic. We were very happy to see this restaurant hasn't skipped a beat and understand why it is a regular go-to spot for the locals. It continues to provide some of the best seafood in Dallas.
The service went above and beyond to recognize our anniversary and make it special!
Great food and service. Menu was a little tricky to figure out. Food prepared really well
Great food and service - the heat in back area near kitchen was too hot. Asked to turn AC lower and was brought a free app. I would have preferred lower temperature. I will not sit in back again.
One of my favorite spots but the lack of quality comfortable seating will cause me to rethink $100+ per guest dinning experience until Fall.
I sat and ate dinner at the bar. Service was exceptional! They know how to make a perfect martini. Icy cold with a layer of ice on top. Yum! The oysters were fresh and fabulous. I love this place!
My only critique is that they had a fan running at the bar counter. The noise level was high from it.
We will 100% be back to this gem of a restaurant! it was amazing
Both of our fish entrees were outstanding. Depth of flavor in each sauce was remarkable.
We had a lovely dinner and service was great. A minor bit of feedback: I love the Pablo crusted fish but for the first time ever the crust was missing almost in its entirety. Thought you’d like to know.
We all had one of the specials of the night; cod with panko crust and Japanese BBQ flavored halibut. Delicious! Also had the halibut appetizer and smoked salmon. Recommend eating here. Fresh seafood and excellent service!
Halibut cheeks as an appetizer and as a main course were delicious. Chef Mark and his team are the model of consistency and they are making the best seafood in Dallas. The staff is phenomenal no better in Dallas. Montlake Cut continues to exceed my expectations.
Sat out in the patio. It was terrific.
Super fresh seafood, GREAT service and a relaxed atmosphere -
Great experience per usual. Halibut outstanding as was the steak tartare!
The restaurant is small and was very crowded on a Saturday night. Last minute reservation was successful and we got a spot at the kitchen bar. It was very noisy but the server was excellent.
Appetizer was the halibut ceviche which was fresh but bland. For main we had the Branzino and creamed corn. Branzino was too soupy for my taste.
Creamed corn was good. Dessert selection was limited so we tried chocolate pudding that was overloaded with whipped cram. Definitely a few more sophisticated desserts would be a nice touch.
Great, as always!
Bar continues to stay high! The staff and food are top notch!! Best seafood restaurant in Dallas!
We had an amazing time! We had a very early reservation so the restaurant was almost empty when we arrived. But it was completely full by the time we left. The entrees and sides are expensive, but enough to share. Drinks (we had martinis) were very well priced. Service was outstanding!! We will ba back soon!
