Exceptional service, food, drinks, ambience, and bar. Best ceviche this side of Spain😎
Absolutely fabulous on all accounts - will definitely be returning ASAP!!
The four of us had dinner at Montlake Cut on a Saturday night. We had reservations for 7.30 pm but it took almost an hour to be seated. It took a long time for the food to be served by the waitress who seemed to be under a lot of pressure.
Montlake’s food is always of good quality but the crowded, noisy, restaurant made our experience less than pleasurable.
We will be back, but never during a weekend.
The quality of the seafood is excellent and the chef is fabulous. The service and atmosphere are great too. Every time we go, we wonder why we ever go anywhere else.
Drinks were less than generous, food delicious, ( Baja Flounder great!) chairs not very comfortable !
Birthday dinner for my husband. Fabulous dinner, really wonderful service - could not have been a better night! Five stars!!!
Consistently the best fresh fish in Dallas. Highly recommend the Bronzino
Everything was great! We will definitely be back. Wish they had a few more dessert options.
We had a great special occasion at Montlake Cut and the service, atmosphere, and food couldn't have been better. They never rushed us and gave great recommendations on the appetizers, wine, and entrees.
Great spinach, Brussel sprouts
Loved the BBQ red snapper and slaw too! The 4 of us had never dined there before and we were all satisfied with the meal.
We had our reservation at 8:30 and we waited 45 minutes to get seated
Great as always. One of my favorites in town. I will certainly return.
Wonderfully prepared dishes! Try the wedge salad and branzino - excellent
Definitely not a date restaurant. This is an evening with friends this is a loud boisterous kind a place it’s bright and energetic. The food is well done and the service is attentive.
Perhaps best enjoyed on a week day evening. Bar area, host area and wait area are all the same space. Creates everlasting confusion between hosts and managers telling individuals that the bar is open seating with first come first serve while the bartenders are trying to micromanage couples and time seating for their space. Watched this happen again and again for a two hour time period. So many people in the bar that the tables by the window literally have couples hovering over and around them while they are trying to eat. A newbie situation for sure, in the novelty of the space and the level of management. Allowing everyone in isn’t necessarily the best strategy for making money. If you sign your check be ready to leave because the couple who has been promised your seat at the bar will ask you to get up!
The food was tasty and delivered promptly and with skill. Too bad we didn’t really have the space to enjoy it or even be able to hear each other speak.
Very good food and good service. A pleasant surprise after some not good Dallas dining experiences. Seemed to care about the customers !
Waiter was awesome! Went over the A/Q and took the time to read down the two dishes we were interested in. Small space but still solid. It's more causal than NHS but the food - you wouldn't notice. It's thoughtfully prepared and delicious. Mos def going to be back.
Our favorite restaurant in Dallas, however service was lacking this time around. We had a 9:00 reservation and were seated at 9:45 without apology or explanation. We are accustomed to waiting 30 minutes or so after our reservation time, and have always been comped with a surprise appetizer and acknowledgement. This time we were simply rushed through the meal, as the dining room was already emptying. The food was great, but I would definitely recommend an earlier reservation.
Amazing food! Amazing service! I would go back and recommend this restaurant to my friends!
Great food and service!
Awesome as always!!!
Pricey, but excellent. I will return. Service was perfect and ambience was very Pleasant
Had close to 30 minute wait for 7:30 reservations but food was delicious!
Service was excellent, but food left a lot to be desired and seemed far overpriced for the value/quality. My 6oz roasted cod was thin, oily and lifeless and was the only thing on the plate other than a (good) gribiche and handful of greens. It was a $26 piece of fish! The sides were okay - cauliflower and Brussels - but the sprouts were also very oily. We also ordered the mussels as an appetizer and although the broth was tasty, the mussels themselves were not great. Perhaps our fault for ordering them in an off season, but then again perhaps they shouldn’t be on the menu unless in peak season. Our first couple of times dining here we really enjoyed our meal. This last time was completely unremarkable, though, and bordered on bad and we won’t be clamoring to go back.
Table was great. Food was very good. I loved my salmon.
We will certainly be back, as we keep coming back.
Took friends from PNW! It’s legit!
I had a reservation for two, and the host and hostess tried to seat me at a small, 2-top table wedged between a wall and another table. I asked if there was anything else available. There were three different 4-top tables empty (it was 6:15 pm), but the host said they were reserved. My guest and I sat at the bar instead. Subsequently, the host and hostess sat a party of two at one of the 4-tops, and another 4-top remained vacant for the entire time I was there. The bartenders were great, but the treatment from the host and hostess will probably keep me from returning.
Lunch at MLC was a very pleasant experience and it was fun to introduce some old friends to this restaurant in celebration of a birthday.
First time and love the service and food. But it is overpriced. The least expensive Red wine was $11 and not very good. I got one of the least expensive entrees, fish tacos and they were $19. I probably won’t return.
The restaurant always has the best atmosphere. The service was excellent and the food was even better.
Impeccable service + great food = wonderful evening out
Great food and perfect service - can’t wait to come back the next time I’m in Dallas!
Great new find for us!
We have now been to Montlake Cut 3 or 4 times and will continue to come back - just be aware even if you have reservations its seems they never have a table ready for you at the time of your reservation. This is the 3rd time we had to wait over 30 minutes past our reservation time to be seated. It there was enough room at the bar this might not have been that big of deal - but with the small space and just makes you feel in the way for waiters just trying to do their job.
We like it very much! We like to go early before it gets loud as all restaurants seem to be now. Nice to have it somewhat quiet while we were there.
We went to celebrate our anniversary. Wonderful food and atmosphere. The seafood was incredibly fresh.
Music was too loud.
Excellent food and service!
Great food and ambiance. I would certainly visit again. Even my picky husband loved it. Loved the crab fried rice and mac and cheese.
Good food and good service, but too expensive for a business lunch. They need to create a business lunch menu with combined items (choice of appetizer, entrée and drink) for a set price. Two people for lunch with no alcohol and it was $100...that's too much.
