Montgomery Inn - At the Boathouse
Sports fans will love the upstairs sports lounge with sports memorabilia on the walls, as well as the autographed photos of famous visitors who have dropped by. So come on in and get yourself some ribs and watch your favorite team in a fun, classy atmosphere.
Our world-famous ribs are definitely a hard act to follow but we found a way. For dessert, indulge in another Cincinnati culinary tradition: Graeter's black raspberry chip ice cream.

Samantha was awesome. Great service and great food with an awesome view.
Just a great evening. The view was great, service outstanding (and we are pretty particular), and the food delicious and plentiful! Wish I could go back every week!
Well known establishment serving the best barbecue ribs ever made!
25 minute walk from downtown Cincinnati. You will not be disappointed!
Food was just OK for the money. Service was not good. Waiter didn't bring salad, xtra sauce, or take the salad off the bill till I reminded him. He definitely didn't put in any effort to making us feel welcome.
Service was outstanding had requested an outside table and were seated almost in the same table that I proposed to my wife at 9 years ago and the wait to be seated was not bad for a Saturday night.
We love Montogomery Inn and the boat house is always a fun location. Another year and not disappointed. Jeff, our server was great. We realized he was our server the year before. Same great level of service. Highly recommend!
Montgomery Inn never disappoints. Other than a slight wait despite our Open Table reservation, everything was amazing. Timothy was our server and he was AWESOME and just made it a great experience. The food was terrific and just as good as ever!
We will definitely be back.
This is a good solid restaurant that struggles between high end and causal. The venue is awesome. The food struggles between foodie friendly and Friday's. The smoked spare ribs were a nice addition to their normal over boiled baby backs, but it still doesn't equal the BBQ from a lot of the newer BBQ centric restaurants that have come around over the past 10-15 years. Butter dishes instead of pre-packed plastic portions and bread that didn't seem to come from a pack of sandwich slices would class the bread basket up quite a bit. But the food is still fine, the service fast, friendly and down to earth, and the view is first rate. Overall it was an enjoyable experience.
Very noisy. Reserved table by the window but when I showed up and my friend was late the hostess tried to have me sit with a clicker and notify her when my friend arrived. I said no I will go to my table and wait. I am not a big bbq person but l love restaurants on the water. Not come back:(
‘‘Twas great we really enjoyed everything that this place had to offer.
View was nice. Service was very good. Chose restaurant because of out of town guest. Was very disappointed with the food. Brisket and ribs were dry and not memorable.
My wife and I came there for our anniversary and the food was very good and our server was excellent it was well worth our drive we are from fountain City indiana thank you for the great scenery also
Had a great time with my wife. I hadn’t been there in 10+ years and it was her first time. Started the evening with reservations we had made on the previous day. Seating was running behind 30-40 minutes. We made our way to the bar and had a few drinks. Bartender was awesome and overheard our conversation if the buzzer was ever going to go off so we could be seated for dinner. She called down and they seated us immediately! It was a good thing because the buzzer had died. Ted’s platter was delicious w/ Saratoga chips. Wife ordered the filet mignon but came out burnt and well down (ordered medium.) The waitress paid for my wife’s drinks in order make up for the mishap. Overall great evening.
We were really disappointed - with so much hype about the Montgomery Inn - it was very overrated, terrible food - except the actual ribs, noisy and really not what we had anticipated. I would not recommend this restaurant period. The management needs to take another look at what they have become - it was like a factory and it was not a good experience in the least.
The service and food was outstanding! It had been 10 years since we visited and it was exactly how we remembered it. It's definitely worth the drive if you want some amazing baby back ribs!
Food was very good. Only negative was reservation was set and had to wait 40 mins after to be seated.
We have been to this place 5 times and we request Ron Hunt because he was our waiter the first time. He is an amazing server, the best we’ve ever had, anywhere! He truly makes every dining experience the best! The food tastes amazing and the view is unbeatable!
Good food, excellent service, great view of the Ohio River. close to Cincinnati stadiums.
Lovely dinner and service
I had a very pleasant time. There service was good, but could use some work. I love the location, it's great for a nice date. I would highly recommend a friend to go.
This place is normally great but not Saturday. Food took forever, couldn’t get a refill on drinks. Not good!
Greatest Ribs and Steaks around !! Great service and friendly atmosphere.
Requested a seat by window and we had our name called. We waited where we were told and another group of 7 came up behind us and got seated first. Our table was by kitchen door. We had special family in from out of town. Very disappointing. When we told hostess we were there 1st she just glared at us.
Great food and great service
We have been to the Boathouse before and like our experience this time it is a great place for ribs. The service was excellent and they were helpful in adjusting our reservation when I called to change the time. We try to come at least once a year when we come to attend a Reds game and again the service and food was very good. We will be back next year.
Excellent food and service!
The service was excellent!!!
I love Montgomery Inn Boathouse for the food and the view. The service is fantastic. What I’m not a fan of is the ambiance....but that’s ok. If I want ambiance, I go somewhere else. If I want ribs, I go here.
I loved the views and the atmosphere. Our server was top notch both upstairs having a drink for dinner. The food was good, but honestly not as good as I had built up in my head. I had both style ribs and brisket. They were good, but didn't blow me away. My wife had the pulled pork sandwich and I flat out can't recommended it. It just tasted a little off. Next time I think I'll take advantage of the 1/2 price apps and have a hot dog at the ballgame.
The ribs were delicious as usual. Great view of the river.
Value for price, wondering if living on prior rating.
Despite requesting window and celebrating 19th Birthday. No window and no acknowledgment of birthday
Was disappointed in our visit to Montgomery Inn Boathouse. Ribs were average, brisket wasn't as tender as I have had at other restaurants. Salad was served with main course. One member of our party believed that part of her baked sweet potato had been taken out, possibly to use in their sweet potato casserole??? Location provides a nice view of Ohio River, but I will not go out of my way to go here again.
Reservation was in my name. My guest arrived before me and was seated. When I arrived I was not told she was already there and so I waited at the front door for over 10 minutes until someone said there was a lady waiting inside. Needless to say I was very upset about the handling of this reservation.
Food took awhile to get. It took 2 hours to get our meal and eat.
We went with family to celebrate 51st anniversary. My sister's car was backed into at Valet stop, lucky no damage. We had reservations, taken to round table, I expressed dislike of this type seating, but was told we would have to wait to be seated at another table. Sister and B-I-L were happy with their salmon dinners, my husband ordered ribs, which were not fall of the bone tender, but he enjoyed them. I did not like the breading on the shrimp, it tasted like flour and got worse as I finished. Loved the plum sauce/hot mustard served with the shrimp, it just fell short of being great because of the breading. Our waiter did bring us a dessert to share because of special occasion, which was nice. I'm not a BBQ fan so not much on the menu without this theme. Prices are high for amount of food served.
The waitress who took care of us was Great! We would love to get her again. The food was very good. It was a special day for us. We were celebrating our 17th wedding anniversary. We were also glad to have someone to park our car. Thanks! Hopefully we will see you again next year or sooner. Carole Bartels
There were a lot of menu options which I liked, I probably ordered the wrong thing bc the shrimp wasn’t great but the ribs and and burgers looked amazing. Very nice inside so dress accordingly. Also when I went it was valet only
