This was our third visit to Monte's. We have traveled extensively in Italy and this is the most authentic Italian food outside of Italy. The service is always excellent. Will definitely try to return the next time we are in New York.

We had a reservation and still had to wait 40 minutes for our table. While waiting for our table we we squished into the corner. They sat people ahead of us that came after us because they were regulars and we were not. The chicken was bony and not good.

Great spot for old school Italian. Feels like stepping back in time when you walk in off the bustling street. The food was good, service and ambience were great. The place is small, and we were sat about 45 minutes after our reservation. That was the only negative of the experience. I’d go again.

Overall, this was one of my favorite dining experiences in the city! The wait staff was SO friendly and playful, the Melanzane Ricotta was delicious as was the Fettuccine Bolognese. I can't wait to come back here!

One of my favorite dinners in a long time! The staff makes you feel like family. The manicotti was delicious. And the cheesecake, yum. This place is a truly special small simple Italian joint - I can’t wait to go back next time I’m in NYC.

Go here. Everything on the menu is delicious. The staff is classic, charming and caring. Chef Pietro is a natural at both cooking and engaging patrons. Pietro Jr runs the joint with a warmth that makes you feel you are part of a big family dinner. We would be here every week if we lived closer.

We were warmly welcomed and seated in a quiet area. Service was always quick and helpful Felt a bit like back in Italy although with an NY touch Can recommend the Fried Mozzerella and Tiramisu Prices up to NY standards.

I hate to leave a bad review because our server was awesome. But frankly the food was very overpriced and small. For a party of 5 we spent 265 and all of us were still hungry and went to nearby bars for more food.

This place gave me an authentic Italian feel, I’ve been here a few times with my friends, but brought my girlfriend here for the first time and she loved it. Service was great and food was incredible and came out in a timely manner. One of my favorite spots in NYC to go.

Perfect. We had to wait about a half hour past our reservation for our table, but there was room at the bar, the drinks were excellent, and the bartender was charming. All the staff was helpful and friendly and the food was outstanding; I had the best scallopini piccata I’ve ever had. I heartily recommend.

I LOVE THE FOOD AND THE STAFF AND ESPECIALLY THE OWNER PIETRO. HOWEVER IF YOUR LOOKING FOR A QUIET PLACE TO HAVE A NICE DINNER AND CONVERSATION, MONTE'S IN NOT THE PLACE TO GO. THIS IS A SHAME BECAUSE EVERYTHING ELSE IS GREAT. AT ONE POINT THE PERSON I WAS DINING WITH COULD NOT TAKE IT ANYMORE AND JUST YELLED OUT "SHUT UP". SOMETHING SHOULD BE DONE ABOUT THIS. WE WERE NOT ALONE AS SOME PEOPLE APPLAUDED MY GUESTS REMARKS.
