Our server Brent was fantastic! Diners appeared to be spaced out according to Covid-19 guidelines.

This was one of the best meals we've had in a long while. We were a bit nervous because we had been told that the "good" chef had left ...but we pushed forward and and were absolutely thrilled. The Chilean Sea Bass special was possibly the best fish meal I have ever had and my husband's steak was fantastic. Our entire party of 7 was very happy and DO NOT miss the Angel Food Cake Grilled Cheese - AMAZING!

Lovely ambiance, fabulous food and incredible service. I had the sea bass which was delicious and their crab cakes are the best I have ever had. I highly recommend!

I was greatly disappointed to see how the previously Monterey Bay interior had been stripped of its most sumptuous and lush interior. Now a sterile and cold dining room
Food selections were quite limited and at the price level we were paying the former
grand portion size and presentation is no longer what it once was. Food was mediocre at best. Such a disappointment and unexpected loss of its former grandeur. Albeit our waiter was very attentive and kind, service was painfully slow and we had to flag down an attendant for additional items we needed at table. This was so sad to experience and partake in, MB used to be a go to place for special occasions, romance and premium dining. It is long since lost that. A shame and regretful.

Amazing experience

This was our first time in Pittsburgh and heard good things about this restaurant. Food was great and the view is lovely. We went during the day so no issues finding parking and we got a window seat.

Absolutely the best restaurant in Pittsburgh. Simply put.

Atmosphere was lovely, food was incredible and the staff was friendly.

This is one of our favorite restaurants in western Pa. All the other times we dined here the experience was superb! We normally a nice white sole for are main course, however this time due to the virus situation the menu was limited, so the type of fish we normally order wasn’t available.

The starters were delicious, oysters and Calamari, the main courses, Chilean Sea Bass and Halibut were both spicy and somewhat bland, not to our liking, as was the large baked potato which was kind of Spicy and somewhat smoky flavored.

The desert Angel Food Grilled Cheese was delicious?

The server was pleasant and helpful!

We won’t let this one mediocre experience influence us however, we will be back, hopefully to enjoy some of the more traditional meals that we have enjoyed here in the past.

To begin with, this is the first time I have been back to Monterey Bay (Mt Washington) since they have remodeled. It is really beautiful. I worked in this building when it was another restaurant and the changes are amazing. Our evening here was excellent. Service was top notch. We had the Crab bisque which was so good. We both had the crab cakes which are fantastic. (I had mine with the scallops, I was a little disappointed with the scallops, they were too salty and too small for this caliper of restaurant) The sides were all excellent and more than enough to share. We will return for the crab cakes. We really enjoyed our evening for our anniversary.

The service was great. Our food was delicious. We enjoy coming to Monterey bay as often as we can!

Tonya and the manager were very kind and helpful in arranging flowers for our table for us for our anniversary. Both were present at the front desk upon arrival and made us feel welcome and appreciated. Brent provided amazing service throughout the meal, meeting our every need. The food, like the view, was phenomenal from start to finish! We recommend the Lobster Bisque, crab cakes with scallops, and Lobster Romano.

This was our first time at the restaurant and everything from atmosphere to food to service was phenomenal. This is the best view and best food out of all the Mt. Washington restaurants in the area. I brought two out of town guests here and they were sincerely impressed with everything. Our serve, Danni, was fabulous and made sure our evening was perfect.

Exceeded my expectations for a first time diner.

The seafood trail, which was a sampler of all their seafood, was so good. Everything was succulent and mouth-wateringly delicious.
Our main courses were also equally yummy. :)
Service was professional, so kind, and very knowledgeable. We also felt the adjustments made for COVID were above and beyond, and felt entirely safe dining out.

I wore a mask at the restaurant. I attempted to get to the restroom to help my pregnant friend who was sick. The hostess in front of the bathroom realized I didn't have my mask on which in my haste I forgot to grab when rushing after my friend. Hostess told me to turn around and get my mask. I did not come into contact with another customer or even the hostess within 6 feet. I was really embarrassed and i had traipsed through the restaurant 3 times to get to my friend. It was a bit in the strict end.
