   We were visiting on business for a week. We loved our experience so much, we returned a 2nd time within that week. Chris and Denise were wonderful servers. The food was phenomenal. Gorgeous sunset views

   First time at this restaurant. It was a lovely experience. Great food, specialty drinks, exquisite deserts, and nice atmosphere. Each and every staff member encountered was very cordial. The view of the city was excellent, and we were able to acquire a window table. Our server, Juana, was beyond excellent which made our dinner more enjoyable. My son wanted to dine here for his birthday, and he was presented with a lovely Happy Birthday desert. Truly a great experience.

   Our experience was above and beyond any expectations I had. The last time I had dined at Monterey Bay was roughly 20 years ago. Our waiter(Chris) was incredibly knowledgeable of the menu, but more than anything he was incredibly personable. It was a special day for my spouse and I, and he went above and beyond to make sure it was special. Henry, one of the managers stopped over during our appetizer course and checked on us, which we were just elated with the personal touch and what seemed to me to be genuine care about their customers. I generally dine with Capital Grille when I am in town, but I will certainly make a point to start making Monterey Bay a regular stop of mine. Truly, from the moment the valet took our car to the moment we got it back, we had a very special experience. Also, I am not a dessert person, but you have to have the angel food cake grilled cheese. It blew my mind. Thank you to all the men and women at the restaurant. It was truly special.

   Absolutely wonderful experience. We celebrated our son’s graduation from PITT and it was a great choice. The food was fantastic and our server was very attentive and of course the view is spectacular. Looking forward to returning etc time we are in Pittsburgh.

   A wonderful evening for my birthday with my parents, personalized attention from both the person who served us and everyone... a fabulous meal with oysters, mussels... an incredible view of Pittsburgh... it's our third time and our favorite restaurant in Pittsburgh... quality and excellence.

    We learned about The Monterey Fish Grotto from the Washington DC PBS show "Get out of town" and decided we had to try it. We were not disappointed at all. We were surprised by the size of the portions. Quite big considering the fancy factor of the location. The view of Pittsburgh has to be the best in town. Do not pass up the Toasted Cheese sandwich for dessert. Much more elegant than the name. It is to die for! Excellent overall all experience. We had a very loud table nearby but thankfully they left before we were served our main course.
