Poor experience--- came in 5 minutes early for reservation. they put table together, seated us. no menus. provided water. we brought wine. no one brought wine glasses or opened bottles, even after getting up to ask someone. and............ sat for OVER 35 MINUTES waiting for someone to come over to table, and no one ever did!!!! The hostess and what looked like a manager or owner simply ignored us. We brought 4 people with us, and were embarassed that we recommended this restaurant which we had eaten at many many times, but never again. We got up and went to another restaurant.
Food was great but the service seems to have gone down hill compared to usual. Overall it was still a good night out
Have eaten at both their locations and both places the experience has been the same. The food is really good but the service is horrible. Both times, they seemed so unorganized. We brought wine and we had to ask for glasses. We proceeded to place our order and our server totally just disappeared in her thoughts. She snapped back into the present and proceeded from the beginning....weird! And she wasn’t even friendly. It was just odd and we will probably not return.
Hidden Gem. Great food, good prices. Staff was friendly. Quiet and clean.
Try Masala dishes, better than Tandoori. Stay away from Chai tea, very weak milk, no flavor. Sent it back, got the same thing. Dont go there if you have a gluten sensitivity, they don't know what it is.
Food good, service slow. it was puzzling as there was no backup but it appears they simply did not have enough servers. we noted that take out service seemed brisk...we.almost ordered takeout to our table....
The best Indian food I have ever had. The spice level is spot on I have tried hot and my date medium hot. The waiter warned me it would be spicy and it was. Never to hot for me. Highly recommend
Birthday dinner, everything was great , but service was very slow
Great food, service and atmosphere. Frequent often and never disappointed!
Food was good, and the portion size was very big, which is a plus.
Food, service, atmosphere, prices all about average. Nothing particularly memorable. Brought a birthday cake for my mother's birthday. Instead of serving it to us when it was time for cake, They just gave me the box and a stack of plates. They should know better than that. But I don't think they did. I won't be back, but wish them well.
Great! Will be back!
The quality of the food was outstanding but the service was lacking. Our server appeared to be new and didn't really know the menu. It took a while to get the yogurt sauce we ordered with the papadums and our entrees came without the basmati rice that was part of the meal. We had to ask for basmati rice after it was obvious that it wasn't coming and we only received one serving instead of one for each entrée. Aside from that the meal was enjoyable but the restaurant needs to train their servers better.
Food was amazing. Excellent variety and spiciness adjusted for our needs. There was no background music, so when the phone was ringing -- incessantly -- it was noticeable and annoying. Even the staff were complaining. Also, even though there were only a handful of tables, we waited over 20 minutes to get our food order was taken and another 25 with our take-home bag sitting prominently on the table before we got our check. The first two checks they gave us were for the wrong tables, but I finally just went to the register and the host found it.
So FOOD was thumbs up.
Everything basically very good...the service a little slow... they need more than one person doing the main service for all the tables and takeout orders.
Excellent food and great atmosphere
Tandoori wings great. Chicken Madras fresh white meet delicious -spice level 7 a bit too hot. Chana masala perfect at spice level 6. Melai Kabob the best entree we had. This is best and most consistent Indian in S. Jersey.
I use to love this place. I ordered tandoori chicken and asked for all thighs. The order came out with four drumsticks. When I asked the waiter who took the order he says same part of the leg right. I was so embarrassed - like I was making a big deal for nothing. I will probably never return.
Really nice option - good food and service ... plenty of menu options
Slow night great experience until staff started stalking us so they could close. Very uncomfortable and it was 10:00 on a Saturday night
One of my favorite restaurants
Food is amazing!
I always love Monsoon. The food is excellent, the atmosphere is cool, and the service is fantastic.
Excellent service and the food is amazing. Definitely recommend you try the Chicken Tika Masala..Yum!
Very authentic and tasty lunch buffet. Quiet. Friendly and efficient staff. Perfect for a quick but elegant business lunch.
We ordered three entrees for the table to share. They brought out one entree and after about 10 minutes, we asked them where the other two were. It took them another 5 minutes to bring the rest of the order. They brought an extra order of the first entree and charged us for it. We objected and the manager eventually took it off the bill, but was unpleasant about it.
My husband and I stumbled upon this local gem and we have made it a once monthly date-night or Sunday brunch spot because the food is delicious and authentic, the atmosphere is warm and inviting, the staff is friendly, helpful and courteous, and we always end up ordering enough for leftovers the next day. A friendly word of warning: most of the dishes are at a very, very mild heat level of a 4-5. For those with an adventuresome spirit, you can request an increased spiciness level, but be prepared for an intense level of heat.
Delicious food served by friendly wait staff!!
Food is always top notch. The service is generally very good, they seemed a little out of synch on this evening.
The manager and staff are warm gracious and friendly. The manager Shankar went out of his way to make or vegan daughter's meal delicious and completely meet her needs.
My husband and I have been there many times. Lately the food has not been nearly as good. They have changed chefs many times and this one is probably my least favorite. The dish that I almost always order was nothing like it usually is. I hardly ate any of it and didnt't take my leftovers. My husband said that he was giving the restaurant one more chance and that was it. We have been very dedicated customers to Monsoon since they opened, enough that I planned his 50th birthday celebration there. Not sure if we will return, which is sad.
This was a great restaurant. The best Indian cuisine I ever had. The food has so much flavor. I will definitely go again. This restaurant made my Valentine's Day amazing. The garlic cheese nan is amazing.
This place never disappoints..lunch buffet or dinner have never had a bad meal
I normally love the food at Monsoon. This time it was just ok.
Overrall, this restaurant is a good choice for any occasion from weekend family get-together or anniversaries. The food is always fantastic and the service matches it.
The food isnt real fancy. From what I was told it's authentic Indian quinine. The deserts were not very aoetizing. The food wasn't priced very well. For a 16 dollar enter I wxsowcted either a bigger portion or more pizazz. Neither of which was provided. The nann bread has bits of charcoal on it. I thought at first it was from the cooking method. But it was definitely from an unclean cooking surface.
It's a good Indian food restaurant for the Mount Laurel area.
The food great, everyone liked their meal. I would go back again for sure.
Outstanding Indian cuisine. The lunch buffet is a wonderful value and offers a great variety of delicious food.
Love the food, love the service! Korma, Mixed Grille, Onion Naan, the way to go!
