We celebrated my husband’s birthday here. Food was delicious. Service was attentive. We had a wonderful time!
The Monday luncheon is a great bargain. Tastes great. Attractive price.
Excellent food and the service was extraordinary.
Food was great. We expected a more complete wine list, including wines by the glass at this restaurant. Atmosphere was very charming.
We always enjoy dinners here: unfortunately the service today was disrespectful and very disappointing. Our waitress, Joanna J, was rude to my mother. Really dampened the experience.
We had a lovely dining experience. Everyone thought the food was great. Our party of 8 was large and probably difficult to accomodate, but your restaurant handled it beautifully. Thank you for a wonderful Mother's Day experience.
Nee to work on the Crouque Madam very mushy bread should be very crisp with the egg and sauce and maybe open face on country bread
Lovely brunch good service and food
We went for Mother’s Day and I was a bit disappointed - and we go here several times a year so I’m very familiar with this particular venue and enjoy it quite a bit.
Our waiter was just so-so, matter of fact, no word was said about Mother’s Day and just pretty blah... not to mention we sat for 10 min before he came over. The food was also just ok. My son’s steak was cooked more than he asked for; the French toast was a bit under cooked (eggy) and the eggs Benedict with spinach and tomatoes was just a-ok. The best things were the asparagus soup, Caesar salad and Bloody Mary.
Mother’s Day brunch was superb. My only suggestion is that they expand the menu to offer more choices.
WE LOVE Mon Ami....it was wonderful to be able to eat outside with our dog in the sunshine. Nate was a great server and made the brunch wonderful. We love that Lauren and Frank came by to see us. We come here for the service and yummy food. Thank you!!!
Had an awesome Mother’s Day brunch! Everyone loved their food. Bellinis were great too
This restaurant has been a long time favorite of mine but this last trip will probably be my last. Everything was sort of so-so. Very lack luster. The steaks were not cooked properly, two were over done and one was so rare we sent it back. Also, the power went out and that put a damper on things. It was dark and quickly became very warm in the restaurant. They apologized but nothing was offered. Just not a great dining experience.
We had a wonderful experience at Mon Ami Gabi last Saturday evening. It was an early Mother’s Day meal with my family. We have enjoyed this restaurant several times in the past and this was no exception.
The service was attentive and approachable. The food was delicious and done exactly as we ordered. The manager was present and made sure to check in with all the guests to make sure we were happy.
Towards the end of our meal the power went out on the whole block! The staff and management calmly spoke with each table about how best to serve us in the present state. We were so impressed with how something that could have been a catastrophe was handled so well.
We will definitely return to Mon Ami Gabi, Reston. Sooner rather than later!
Excellent food and service.
Always a good experience. Definitely a must try when in Reston
very good as usual however the waitress was a bit over-eager in her checking on the table. She interrupted a couple of conversations in order to move us along. We felt some pressure to rush along. Had there been others waiting to be seated I could have understood but there weren't.
when we ordered coffee i asked for alot of cream - which I go but the coffee cup was almost overflowing and there was little room to add the cream. I ended up asking for another cup of coffee only about 3/4 full - to allow for cream.
she may have been new as I've never seen her there before and we try and go at least once a month.
All of the food was excellent except the mussels could have used more garlic and flavor but was still good. The fish, chicken and escargot was divine.
Great meal, always is!
Went here for brunch - ordered the french toast (amazing) and the steak and eggs (just okay - the steak was pretty tough and had lot of grizzle, for what it cost, I'd expect a better cut of meat).
Great food and service.
I am a big fan of mon ami. We had a nice experience, but seriously, kill the COVID tax, bring back the free bread and carrot salad and allow us to reserve the outside tables on the app.
Escargot and mussels were wonderful. Steak and Caesar salad were generous portions.
Always great to go here. Brunch is the best in my opinion!
Beautiful night, decided to eat outside. Mon ami Gabi is the perfect place! Food is always excellent. Service was an A- this time. Will always go back!
I met an associate for lunch & the service, food, and patio setting combined to make it an excellent experience. Our waiter kept active tabs on our needs but never disturbed our conversation.
Food always good but service tends to be suspect. This night we had a great server and got an excellent meal and great service!
Food was not good as it used to be. Service sucks. We waited for a long time to get service. Also, they added 5% covid-19 surcharge to bill. It says to help offset restrictions on their business but when we went, the place was 90% capacity.
Mon Ami Gabi was the first date night my husband and I have done since the pandemic started. Food was good but service declined at the end of the evening. We wanted to order desert and got a menu, but waited 30 minutes for a server to ask about taking our order.
Always loved Mon Ami for dinner. This was my first lunch visit and it was great.
Excellent service from our waiter! Friendly but professional. Attentive but not interfering. Five stars for sure.
We’ve eaten at MAG many times and never had an experience as poor as this one.
We were on time for our reservation for 4 and had to wait over 30 minutes. When we were finally seated there was no mention, let alone apology, for the delay.
Our waitress consistently mixed up our order, giving the medium rare and rare hanger steaks to the wrong people...and another steak was less than 1/2 inch thick and inedible.
We took it home, cut it up, and gave it to the dog. He would not eat it.
We did not order dessert - so the very sad story ends here, but the salmon was perfect.
French restaurant with barely any french food. What was available was poorly made and tasteless. Enjoy the classic american rock/modern pop with your french food....
Very weak service and management at the location, understaffed and made for a long brunch, ended up skipping dessert and going to Pitango
Love escargot so we came for it & mousels
Caution— you’ll get a COVID surcharge here—spending your money here and supporting this business isn’t enough... they demand an extra 5% for the privilege. We were seated basically in the middle of a high traffic hallway, the food was cold, and the service was lacking. The appetizers were the best part of the meal, beyond that, just skip the rest.
Food was not great, service and ambiance are fairly good.
Service from our waiter was AWESOME!!! Atmosphere (inside and neighborhood) was also well worth the trip.
Food here was just OK for the price and compared with the competition in the area. For a European restaurant, we felt most (not all) of the dishes were too salty. The beef wellington that was one of the specials was perfectly seasoned and perfectly cooked -- fillet mignon was perfectly seasoned and wrapped in just wonderfully baked pastry: YUMMY! However, the chicken was not marinaded well enough; it was cooked perfectly -- not too dry -- which is a nod to the kitchen's skills.
Both the burger and filet mignon were "OK" for the type of restaurant -- i.e., better than the average chain restaurant as far as quality of meat, but lower quality in taste than the higher end steak restaurants in the area that charge about the same price or less for comparable dishes.
The desserts were similarly mixed in quality: crème brulee was great, chocolate mouse was good, mixed berry sorbet was about what I can get in an American grocery store: artificially flavored sorbet in a French restaurant? I guess 20 years living in the Mediterranean spoiled me, but still, I had expected more from a "slightly higher end" French Restaurant in the middle of Reston Town Center.
Wine was OK. I "grew up" on Italian wine and think they're comparable to French wine at lower prices. Most of the better California cabs beat the crap out of any European offerings, French or Italian. So paying premium price for an OK wine while dining out was just "OK."
Service was awesome! Our waiter was so helpful, we'll come back just for the atmosphere AND the service. Perfect restaurant? No. Best in the area? No. But overall atmosphere, variety, good (even if not great) food, and awesome service made for a recommended experience.
They do put a COVID surcharge on the bill, but we asked to have it removed, and they accommodated.
Tonight’s experience for my wife’s birthday was fantastic. The staff worked with me on my reservation in advance to ensure that we could make her night special and they delivered in every way. In addition, the new procedures to keep guests safe re-assured me about the safety of our visit.
We celebrated, my wife got her favorite dish on the menu, and the staff was fast, kind, and friendly. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed tonight, and we thank the entire staff for helping to make tonight special.
Mid-afternoon lunch on a quiet day in the middle of a pandemic. Good food and quality service -- as always -- I miss the au poive prime burger.
