Everything was great
Chicken and mushroom crepe is always amazing. Mussels are really tasty too. Almost not even a point to hearing the specials.
We had such a nice time for our late lunch on Saturday. It was the perfect location and meal before my relatives flew out from Dulles. My sister, who is celiac, was with us and the staff went above and beyond to make sure that everything was prepared so she could eat it.
Love everything about Mon Ami especially the warm baguette, the French onion soup and the Caesar salads. Thank, you!
Food and service was spot on as always!
Hernan is a great server! Suggested wonderful wine and entrees. We enjoyed our date very much. Great overall experience!
I’ve been eating at this Mon Ami for over 10 years. It is always wonderful. The ambiance, the bread, the services. We stopped in for brunch. Pretty straight forward offering but well made. Omelettes, house made biscuits, date rubbed bacon. Excellent service.
Fine restaurant experience. Have been there on many occasions, although not in a while. Quality of the food is excellent - I had a sandwich this time that I had not had there, and it was a very pleasant surprise. The steak frites my wife had was awesome as always. The only negative (and it is a minor one) - the brunch and lunch menus are somewhat limited, but there is always something for everyone to enjoy. Well done!
Three-course business lunch of steak-frites for $20, and a very attentive staff. Just a great deal in a great setting.
As always, Mon Ami was fabulous! The service, food, and ambiance were all fantastic! Perfect for a date night with my hubby of 20+ years.
This is one of my new favorite restaurants. They were super nice an helpful, the food was amazing, and it's a lovely environment. My friend and I had a great lunch here and will return.
We had a reservation for 6:30 pm.....When we arrived with two elderly gentlemen (one with a rollator), we asked for a table and one was available. However, we were told that we could not have that table because it was reserved. So reluctantly, we went to a booth. The manager did say he'd move us to a table when it became available in about 15 minutes, but with seniors the idea of moving mid meal was more of a hassle. When we finished our dinner at 7:30, the table was still unoccupied and we could easily have sat there. The manager knew I was upset and said the table's reservation was for 7:30 and he didn't want to rush us. I never heard him tell us about the reservation for 7:30.
The manager apologized because we were unhappy and told us he'd give us a table the next time we came in. Really, would he remember us and our name?! That's not realistic, is it?! We didn't get a card for "free appetizer" or "free dessert" for out next visit. Nothing...just a card so I could complain to the manager's manager.
We like Mon Ami Gabi, go fairly often, and think the food is good. But it was not a pleasant experience for elderly individuals. Next time we go, we'll definitely request a table with chairs so everyone in our party is comfortable.
All this said, the food was good and so was the service. It's relatively a quieter restaurant in RTC.
I would recommend the restaurant to a friend although the fries were lukewarm and tasteless. The mussels were well prepared with a tasty white wine sauce.
We had a great meal! The food was delicious and our server was very attentive and friendly.
I had a wonderful lunch at Mon Ami Gabi in Reston. Everything was perfect: there was a generous fixed price menu that I chose, great Bordeaux wine and outstanding service - it couldn’t have been better, but it was. It was Veterans’ Day and I’m a veteran. They gave me a whopping veterans’ discount too.
Enjoyed the brunch with my daughter. The food & service were great. A nice place to be on a cold fall morning.
On the way to the airport and they were open! Hooray! Leisurely breakfast! Great service
Great service, waitperson, Whitney is the best. Attentive and informed. Lovely, relaxing time.
One of our favorite places for dinner. Went to dinner for a birthday celebration and the service was excellent. One of our meals was a bit undercooked (Duck à l'orange) and the server took care of it for us.
Will be back, again.
We had asked for a quiet table for a group discussion and were given an excellent one in the back. Service and food was the usual high standard. One of the best.
Celebrated my 50th birthday. The waiter Frank was great! The food was amazing, like always!!!
The food was wonderful but our table was poorly located.
Dining here is always a warm and pleasant experience——like coming back to a friend. No surprises (that’s a good thing), but reliable, competent, welcoming and thoroughly enjoyable—both the well prepared comfort food and the excellent service. Highly recommended.
Met my sister for dinner here and was not happy with the food. We split a $40 bone in ribeye and were highly disappointed at the flavor/taste/texture of the meat. The mashed potatoes and spinach were way better than the actual meal. Would have rather gone somewhere else to eat. Not sure why, but i used to love coming here and now i feel like the food isn’t that great. The sauce was not flavorful and we both ended up requesting different sauces. The meat needed more seasoning/salt.
Food great as well good service and the Restuarent looked outstanding
Food is always great.
Wellington’s on point. Cooked to perfection.
I love coming to Akon Ami Gabi when I’m in Reston for a business meal. It’s quieter than some of the other options nearby and the food options do not disappoint. The service is well above average with an attentive team fulfilling your every need.
Mon Ani Gabi was wonderful. We went for a late lunch so it was not so busy. Our server was no that attentive but efficient. The food and sauces were amazingly delightful. It's also nice if you are a Lettuce Entertain You member for specials and points.
Sunday morning brunch is always a treat! Our server was not as attentive as most of their servers, but, he was still pleasant and professional.
I would have preferred the steak to not have such a rich sauce on top. However, now that I know I will let the waiter know this.
Dinner and service, as always, outstanding; to us? beats Le Diplomate and closer to home
Food was good. However we felt rushed when our server took our signed check while we were still talking.
The food was great, but steak came well done when I ordered medium. They sent it back and it came back perfect. The quality of food was great and wine selection extensive (and reasonably priced for quality). The service was slow, but the place was packed. Because we were there for a birthday, they provided a free birthday dessert.
Unusual for DC area but truly delightful environment, food, service and value. Actually felt like we were in Paris (or as close to it as possible!) Not DC like at all, with truly special "Specials" and attentive service. Always satisfied, always a delightful experience. Salmon, trout, sole and soups all shine as does the warm baguette!
Everything was excellent, as always! The food, staff and customer service were perfect. Love the new fall lunch menu!
The food is great no matter what you choose. Try the Goat Cheese Appetizer. It’s the bomb.
Lunch with friends. Great food and service.
Terrible service. Waitress completely ignored our table. Manager came by to apologize. The Macaroni Gratin was a joke. There was nothing gratin about it. It was just simply macaroni and cheese for kid! This place has lost its value and became more like a cafeteria than a French bistro/restaurant.
Very good before, and very special this time! I am looking forward dining at Mon Ami Gabi again
