Mon Ami Gabi - Las Vegas - Main Dining Room Ratings and Reviews
We visit the one in oak brook Illinois regularly and always got a great meal. We have eaten at the one in Vegas in Paris at least 5 times and my wife has always gotten a tough steak. Not coming back. For the price the steaks should be better and more consistent from your supplier.
I will never visit Vegas without having at least one meal at Mom Ami Gabi. It is such a special place and the menu is filled with delightful options. We chose to have breakfast on this trip and as always, it was simply amazing. It was the perfect end to our 3 day trip and we will always come back in the future.
Wonderful late lunch to celebrate my birthday. Food was delicious. We had the French onion soup, which was the best! I had the mussels and my husband had the trout almond one. Both were expertly prepared. Our server was also wonderful- attentive and polite. This is our favorite restaurant in Vegas
We have been here many times. The food is generally fantastic - fresh and served pretty quickly. The goat cheese and spinach omelet is superb. But, I would not recommend the quiche. It is pricey and did not taste ' homemade' to me, rather more like frozen and then cooked. The crusty part was decent but the inside was more mushy than cooked. The service is outstanding and eating outside is a treat.
I went to this restaurant based on a recommendation from a friend. The service was quick but the menu was a little confusing to read. I ended up ordering the Roquefort steak. I said smother my steak in the sauce which apparently means a dollop. I was surprised at how thin the steak was. What you are getting is a flat iron steak with fries. Again this is not made clear on the menu. It tasted good. I probably would not go out of my way to eat here again but I would keep it as an option if it were a convenient choice.
We have been going to this restaurant at least once a year for several years. This was our worst food experience by far. We generally order Filet with merlot butter sauce - as we did this time. There is no way the steak was prepared at the time we ordered it. The orders came out in an incredibly short period of time. The frites were barely warm, and the steak was not only tough, but also barely warm - as was the sauce. Coming out as quickly as it did, that steak should have been sizzling - or at the very least more than barely warm. I am more than sure that both the steak and frites were previously prepared and brought out to warm up before serving. At any rate, the food was extremely poor. Too bad, as we have enjoyed it in the past. On a separate note, the hostess in charge of tables had the worst attitude. Never had these experiences before at Mon Ami Gabi. Sad.
By far, the best outdoor on-the-Strip place. There's nothing else like it. Recommend going during the week because it's jammed on weekends. Went for date night with my hubbie. Right on, but above, the sidewalk, so great for people watching on the Strip. Food is mainstream French, but very tasty, savory. Only drawback (i.e. value) is that it is rather pricey. But hey, if it keeps out the riff raff. Take your Significant Other here. It's quite romantic.
Usually my husband and I do Mon Ami Gabi as a couple.
This time we had the honor of hosting good friends of ours from North Dakota. They were blown away by the atmosphere, delighted by the dinner menu and captivated by the dessert menu.
Ordered items were escargot, French onion soup, the filet, steak frites classique and bernaise, chocolate mousse, profiteroles and bananas foster. Everything lived up to the Mon Ami Gabi reputation and our guests were most impressed.
Our waiter, Herve, was attentive without hovering and his French accent won over our guests.
Thank you, Mon Ami Gabi, for another stellar evening.
Love this place. Have been many times for brunch. My favorite is the Bloody Mary and nova salmon platter....paper thin sliced nova, capers, onions, egg served with cream cheese and a bagel. The coffee is also delicious.
Unfortunately this time our server was not as attentive as we’ve had in the past and seemed bothered. My platter was served with a cold toasted bagel, which took 15 minutes to replace. The rest of my party was almost done eating by the time I received my bagel. I insisted they start eating without me. The manager was professional and understanding(sorry I didn’t get his name) and did take care of us for the poor experience we had.
I would go back again and I do recommend this restaurant, but this was a disappointing experience.
Third time in the week to visit, first time disappointed. Ambiance amazing as usual, service was good, and the appetizer (cheese/fruit/nut plate) was very tasty. But the steak pomme frites were a major disappointment.
Frites were OK, not great (some soggy in the middle, average taste), but the steak was terrible. First, texture was closer to Salisbury steak, rough and crumbly. Asked for medium rare, came out medium well with occasional pink. Steak was about 3/8" thick with like 1/8" deep grill marks (which explains the overcooked nature). Couldn't even finish half between two of us, not worth it.
