The lunch fare at Mon Ami Gabi is now standardized, like a good fast food restaurant. The soup was excellent, the main dishes good, but the service needs upgrading. Still, a good place for a casual meal.
Order was incorrect.
Quiche was not hot
Water tasted “different”
Excellent, friendly and attentive service. Our server asked the kitchen about an off-dinner-menu item for our daughter and they were able to make it (lunch item). Great food (one dish was a little salty, but otherwise excellent for 5 different meals).
The food was good but not as good as I’d expect given the prices. Wine was good. Waitress was nice and attentive (but not overly so).
Always wonderful for us. I especially enjoy sitting outside. The food is outstanding and the service is very professional.
We have been to the restaurant several times in the past. I must have not recognized the menu limitations. There was beef, fish, and pasta. A little disappointing. That being said, the salad was great, and so was the wine and the waitress.
I have always enjoyed Mon Ami Gabi. This time was even better with our server, Reuben. He was absolutely delightful.
This is our go to place to celebrate birthdays, holidays etc. We also go regularly to get brunch or lunch or dinner. Can’t go wrong. Food is excellent, service terrific. We were celebrating a bday and it was delightful as always. Highly recommend.
I am at this restaurant on average about four- six times a month . I’ve very rarely have had trouble. My burger was so salty, I usually get fish. It took over 20 minutes to get a cherry coke! The children’s pasta was ordered without butter. The waiter said it was water on the plate, not butter. I realize this is not typical for this wonderful restaurant . This particular waiter is always grumpy and tends to ignore you if you’re not ordering lots of “drinks”. Very sorry , I know it is not an easy job!
Excellent bistro and fine food served in an elegant way.
We went for Saturday brunch at 11:30 and asked for a quiet table. We were seated in the back room and for some time were the only ones there, so it definitely was quiet and allowed for great conversation. We had a leisurely brunch, including dessert, and we were not rushed by our waitress at all. By 1 pm the tables started to fill up and it got noisier, but never too noisy, and our corner table still allowed us to hear each other very well. Our waitress was excellent and super-accommodating in every respect - one of the best we've ever had anywhere.
Always good food, drinks and service. One of our go to restaurants.
We sat outside since it was a beautiful night. Service was great. My friend and I shared the sole meurniere which was delicious. My husband had trout almondine which was delicious, and my friend's husband had steak which was delicious. We all enjoyed everything.
Outside on the side patio, was delightful and quiet! Had a wonderful meal and a terrific server!
Server was nice, nice outside setup. Food was ok, not great. Ordered steak medium rare/rare and got medium. Friend ordered medium and he got medium well.
Our waiter was attentive, but not pushy. I had the arugula salad with salmon. Delicious.
Trout almondine was poorly done! Gazpacho was good
The food was delicious, definitely a lot of heavy items but all prepared well. Steak Frittes was good and escargot delicious. Service was a bit slow, took a while to get drinks, more bread, plates, etc. Overall was a great meal.
Food has really deteriorated. Over salty. Some of my favorite items, like the seafood crepe, are no longer on the menu. Onion soup was not good.
Disappointing meal -- service was pleasant but slow. One of the hangar steaks was cooked incorrectly and was sent back -- took 15 minutes to bring a properly cooked plate back out but by then, everyone else had finished their meal. And then the restaurant didn't even take the corrected dish off the bill. Mon Ami Gabi must be really hurting for money to not do that, after screwing up the entree to begin with. Won't be back anytime soon.
While still good, I much preferred the menu created by their chef of 1 plus years ago. A longtime waiter there agreed with me. It's gone downhill after that chef left.

Our server was a bit pushy and rushy
Service was excellent as was our food. We sat outside under the umbrellas and had a wonderful brunch. Would highly recommend to everyone.
The food was amazing, the service excellent, and the ambience both relaxing and invigorating.
The food is usually excellent. There was one mix-up that caused us concern. Our salads were delivered to the wrong table. Once the waiter saw the mistake, he took the salads from the other table and tried to give them to us. No way - we refused to accept food that had been on another table, not knowing if those people had already eaten any parts of our salads.
Single glass of “house merlot” too expensive. I’m not sure why the review has to be at least 50 characters. We go to this restaurant, because of its location. Somewhat over-priced, though.
Thank you for making my friend’s Birthday a success
We have always loved our experience when dining here. We hadn't been in over a year and there was a noticeable decline in the quality of food, service and overall experience. We were there for a special occasion and left voicemail disappointed.
Unfortunately for us, there was a street fair that had been scheduled on Woodmont right in front of the restaurant. It made access to the entrance challenging for someone who is handicapped, and there was no valet available to park our car. No one offered to validate our super expensive parking. The meal was pleasant enough otherwise.
Excellent service and brunch.
Food is consistantly good. But wine list is very limitted and its noisy. One expects a good wine at a reasonable price to go with the nice stakes they serve.
Outstanding steak! Outstanding service by Reuben !
Always great choice for dinner. Onion soup is a standout.
Soup and salad and wine were very good, bread OK, and service was excellent. Waiter was knowledgeable, friendly and totally professional. But the main course - mussels - were tasteless.
Brought two guests who had never been there.before. They LOVED it. My only criticism is that all the dishes from lunch should be cleared before dessert is served. The waiter kept touching my shoulder in the “ Joe Biden “ way but it did invade my private space. I did not mind but others could take offense.
My wife and I eat here regularly. We enjoy it very much. This trip though the only negative was that the bread seemed to be warmed in the microwave and was quite hard. This was the first time I encountered that. Otherwise everything Fine as usual
It was much too noisy for a conversation at dinner.
SERVICE: Good to very good. FOOD: Onion soup was tasty. One of us ordered the mussels and raved about them. Three of us ordered the breakfast special of a petit filet mignon with eggs and potatoes. Prep of the meat satisfied all three distinct degrees from rare to medium; but I cannot say the same with the eggs. The restaurant was responsive and redid the eggs. They even went as far as providing a completely different entree when one person still wasn’t satisfied. Potatoes were disappointingly soft with little flavor even though they came with vegetables. I would be willing to give the restaurant a second visit to try the steak and frites which was my original intent until I got sidetracked with the breakfast special. Live and learn!
