Fantastic place for my birthday dinner! It's cute, food is excellent, wait staff is attentive and not overbearing. My 12 year old even thought it was great. :-)

The new waiter was exceptional and we actually tried new items because of him and were quite pleased with the presentation and taste. The tables for two along window wall could use a console for more light. Elsewhere is lit very nicely.

Always love a nice dinner here. Low key, not too fussy, and great food. Wait staff is so professional and they work very hard to make sure you have a great experience.

Our waiter was not pleasant at all and didnt really make our experience nice. Be chose a bottle of wine and the waiter for some reason had an issue opening the bottle and broke the lip of the bottle and decided to serve the wine anyways. We asked him to change the bottle and asked to be served a different wine as we were in shock that he would even think of serving a broken bottle of wine. He did bring us a new bottle and offered an extra profiterole on the house which was nice. Ovevrall, I couldn't fathom that he served us a broken bottle of wine.

Food was delicious, the scallops and goat cheese appetizers amazing both in presentation and flavor.

The service was horrible. The waiter acted as if we should be honored that he was waiting on us. The other support staff were distracted. We had to ask repeatedly for water. The chairs were wobbly and one was covered in food. It was clear no one had wiped the chairs or looked at them to see if they needed to be changed. The food was cold in some cases. It was extremely noisy and the waiter was irritated that he had to repeat himself as we Kohl’s not hear what he was saying. We have been enjoying this restaurant for years but this experience will change my interest in eating there in the future. Please add some quality control to your process of training staff, being attentive to customers and getting food to table while it is still warm.

Our server indicated he was pouring decaf coffee (2 cups) and it obviously was not. I was up most of the night. Very disappointed in this lack of honest service.
The bread that is usually so delicious was not fresh and hard as a rock as soon as it cooled off.
Not the usual experience unfortunately.

The artic char and underlying spinach were swimming in a heavy, buttery sauce that added nothing to the taste. Actually, it detracted from the flavors of both.

Likewise, the salad was unremarkable. The service was a bit “cold”.

We’re used to getting a pretty good meal here, so this was a disappointment.

We've had many family celebrations here since it opened 17 years ago - we always have a wonderful time. The atmosphere is a trip down Paris Memory Lane - lively enough for great social event but you can still carry on a conversation with your party. We love that Mon Ami is a place where we can reliably get superb versions of French bistro classics: onion soup, mussels, steak frites, fish, and the mousse & profiteroles - but everything is delicious. Their gluten-free bread is great and the gluten-free choices are extensive. We're so glad that Mon Ami continues to flourish!

I ordered a half order of mussels, but did not like them because they were big and not sweet, as most other mussels I have eaten. The waiter took them off the bill and brought me a salad. We had one salad, one glass of wine and one entree and the bill with tip was $85. A bit pricey for what we had. My husband did enjoy the short rib special. I don't think we will go back very often.

Poor quality food for the price. The steak I ordered had lots of fat in it and veins which made about 25 percent of it inedible. The fries with my steak frites had no seasoning and were mushy. Very disappointing.

Mon Ami Gabi is a quaint place though a bit crowded. The appetizers were very tasty and artfully crafted. We shared the duck confit, escargot, and goat cheese. Unfortunately, my steak was not as flavorful, though cooked to perfection (medium rare). I prefer a seasoned steak, as opposed to naturally grilled accompanied by sauce. The fries are good, didn't like the brussel sprouts. Although it more than made up for it with the exemplary service.

French bistro style restaurant with great atmosphere. The quality of the food, however, does not live up to the nice interior decoration. I suggest you go for simple classic dishes.

Unfortunately we may have thought we would have enjoyed this dining experience but we may have been fooled by difference in location. We were hoping for grass-fed beef but that may be only in sterling location. We didn’t ordered steak for both of us but my Girlfriend has strict pepper restriction in diet. Originally the order came out with normal topping instead of butter, garlic, and salt directions that we asked for. The service corrected immediately but wasn’t impress it wasn’t done right the first time. Ambience is too dark and crowded in regards to table spacing. Tried for old French classic style but feel as though it missed the comfort. May be better in nice weather to sit outside. Steak was cooked to liking but was not the best bite for the price paid in regards to texture and taste. Just a little underwhelmed overall. Not bad place and sure some enjoy thoroughly but for our taste it was just okay fine dining.

Everything is always on pointe at Mon Ami Gabi. The food is excellent . The ambiance is the best, nice classic jazz, loud enough to hear but soft enough not to be intrusive. LOVED our server. She was attentive and gave great service. Love this place!

It was a great dining experience from the moment we walked into the restaurant. Our server was engaging and funny. She noticed that it was our niece's birthday when she checked her ID and brought her a birthday surprise at the end of our meal. Every dish had beautiful presentation and the food was fabulous!

The food is wonderful, the service is good (our waiter was very nice but also very busy), the wine is fabulous, the prices are a bit high. Also they are a bit stingy with rewards. We signed up for text alerts and got a bunch of offers (free baked goat cheese appetizer, free order of profiteroles and free chocolate mousse) but could only use one. We chose the profiteroles and were disappointed that we only got one, not the full order. Should have gotten the appetizer.

We always go to MAG after the movie next door. We lucked out with Julia as our server on the night of Feb 28th. She was excellent.
The coffee is still mediocre. I cannot understand why you can't do better.

Mediocre on all fronts. Food was not as good as I'd expected based on other reviews, but the service was especially disappointing. The staff seem very unhappy; every person we encountered looked kind of miserable. Our server in particular was really something else. I asked for a recommendation between 2 dishes and he replied "I don't know, I'm not the one eating." We continually had to ask for refills on bread/water, and for our table to be cleared. And worse, there were very few vegetarian options for my friend, so when I asked, he looked like he'd never heard of a dish without meat and then said, "you can have a side of vegetables if you like." Then when she got her meal, they left the sausage on top of the food despite us asking to replace it with salad. Even airlines accommodate vegetarians ffs. He also brought my other friend the wrong dish. Considering the table was mostly people of color, it felt kind of discriminatory.
