   First time back since the reopening. Interior looks similar, however the organization of the interior with the tables are better aligned. Food is tasted good. I enjoyed meeting my friend at the restaurant.

   I loved the newly renovated restaurant. The only downside was the French onion soup was over salted. But everything else was delish and I will definitely be coming back ❤️

   Frisée salad was bland. No zip to it at all. Steak frites were good. Profiteroles were great. Service was VERY slow. Seated in the bar at hightop table which was too tall to sit comfortably. Feet dangling. And table too high to cut steak comfortably. Needs some refining but fun atmosphere.

   We were eager to experience the revamped Mon Ami Gabi - the newly renovated interior is well done and the bar area has a great vibe albeit a bit loud. We sat in a booth opposite the bar so we had a good view of the back dining area, the outside and the bar area. Surprisingly, the service was incredibly slow and inattentive to the point that it was a topic of conversation and frustrating. The shared starter salad (Fermière) was ok but the snap peas overpowered other salad components. The Roast Chicken and Steak Au Poivre delivered which was a relief as we were concerned this historically reliable spot had changed its tune. But, we will return again - hopeful for better service and perhaps a different salad.

   Great meal and quality service. Waiter was professional and informed. Food came out right away and was excellent. Table for two are very close to one another, so impossible to have a private conversation.

   We called to request a round table by window for special gathering for six, however, we were seated at long booth at very back of restaurant where it was difficult to talk and hear for people on the end of table. The steak and trout were very good but the French fries with steak were not very tasty - they appeared to be reheated: luke warm and a bit limp. We’ve always loved Mon Ami Gabi but hoping they work out these kinks in these reopening months. The new design and ambiance is lovely and will be going again in hopes of better experience overall!

   Mon Ami Gabi in Bethesda was closed for about 10 months until March 2025 for a complete renovation. Patrons are paying for the renovation via higher prices for most items. The food is mostly the same as in the past, just more expensive. The interior space seems to be much more crowded with more tables with less space between tables.

   The food was excellent. We had steak fries, trout almondine and crab cake and all were delicious.

    Another delightful meal and our second visit since you re-opened. Had the petite omelette with salad. Simple and just what I wanted. The lemonade was refreshing and not too sweet at all. We sat outside. Appreciate that there seems to be much more outdoor seating with the renovation, along the side of the building betwee the main entrance and the movie theatre. Our server Mariana was attentive and friendly. Please give her our compliments!
