Momo's Pasta Dallas Ratings and Reviews
This is the best pasta I have had in Dallas. They have a great variety of dishes and I don't know of many other places with so many different pasta dishes. The calamari was also excellent.
The location is a little hidden but, once you get there, it is quite charming. I strongly recommend it. The value is also very good.
We had a lovely time at MOMO and with the nice weather, were able to sit outside
Two of our party had the chicken breast with Avocado which was the special and it was excellent I had the gnocchi with Italian sausage which was very good and the calamari appetizer is always excellent. As well the tiramisu which is our favorite desert, is superb
We went pretty early so there was only one other table. It felt kind of weird with the night music in broad daylight, but the servers were quick and kept everything refilled and got everything to us really quick. The pasta was delicious as was the bread with oil they serve with your meal.
Food was pretty good, very tasty. The ravioli dish we had was very undersized though (only 6 with some sauce) for the $17 price. Ambiance was pretty average and wait staff was a little uninspired. Better quality glassware would help.
José G., was my server. He was friendly but professional. I was glad to chat with him in Spanish. I ordered the Maccheroni Vesuviana which was plentiful (I took much of it home). I would have liked some garlic added to this dish--a personal preference. I enjoy this Momo's location as it is around the corner from Theatre 3 where I have had good experiences.
One of the best things at Momo's is the bread/olive oil with garlic before and with the meal. I could eat that combination all day long! Our server didn't check back in with us after our meal arrived and we were wanting more drinks - the only complaint I have. The food was very good as usual.
We risked a new restaurant for my best friends birthday......4 of us, and all of us raved about the food. 4 different entrees' and all very delicious. We will be back. Wonderful waiter.........
We got there early (6:30), and it was very very quiet - which is what we were looking for.......
after 7, it got quite busy.......but confirmed our decision of coming to this restaurant.
I will recommend to all I know.
when we first walked in it smelled like someone was cleaning the bathroom not like an italian restaurant that should warm your heart with its smells. My husband ordered pasta and i ordered a pizza. it was to have different meats on it ... it tasted like a pizza out of a cafeteria. The pasta was ok but it was supposed to have shrimp in it and he had to dig to find any. The music was not appealing ... it was not italian or classic it was old 70's rock.. I would not go back... it had horrible parking and I just didn't even feel safe.
Actually, inside the restaurant, it was nice. The food was very good and the cost in line with what I expected. The valet in the front, well at best it is unnecessary. For them to double the valet charge because the clock struck 9:00pm, well that is simply absurd. And our cars were literally parked in front of the door. There was no need for a valet that night and it added to the overall expense of the meal since it was an additional charge.
I was taking my daughter home from college to see a concert out for a special night. This place was AWFUL!!! Should have known when we got there and we were the only ones in there. All of the seafood was way over cooked! The service was terrible, I had to go and ask for my second drink that the server forgot about! Shouldn't have been hard since we were the only table! NEVER eat here please it will ruin your night!!!!
Gave this restaurant a third chance. Again the food was nothing spectacular. I feel they charge too much for the quality of their food. There are other restaurants that have better quality Italian dishes that charge less. Also, they added $25 to my bill in items we did not order. I had to send the bill back to be corrected. It did not seem ethical to me. I gave them three chances and I won't be back.
Honestly we came in from NY and needed a place to eat on Christmas night. We goggled places that were open and this restaurant came up. The red sauce was not good at all. My daughter ordered alfredo and it was tasteless! Very bad. Nice people but not a good Italian restaurant at all.
The eggplant parm was the worst we ever had. It was mushy and did not resemble Eggplant parm. I got a shrimp and pasta dish. The description said it came with jumbo shrimp, when I got my dish the shrimp where smaller that my pink finger nail.
