Was there for their last night of service for a birthday and they ran out of everything! Only made the res for the high quality habanero fried chicken and had to settle for the branzino (still good, but not fried chicken!) The BBQ carrots were room temp borderline cold (not sure if they were supposed to be warm or cold?) The table we were sat at was next to a curtain that had spiders on it and they were definitely tormenting me because they hopped down onto our table during dinner.. other than that, service was great! Our server was incredibly kind and knew we were pretty upset about the kitchen running out of multiple items, so his kindness was appreciated!

The food was just OK. I wanted to love it. This was to be the highlight of our trip to NYC ... and it was just not great. It was fine ... no complaints but nothing to wow us. That saddens me to write. It was not crowded at all. That probably should have been a sign that it's not "the" place ot eat in NYC.

Well presented and tasty fusion cuisine as expected. The branzino was a bit pricey but well worth the sharing, as was the outstanding fried chicken.

Very innovative, eclectic, and creative, with dishes such as BBQ carrots, Chinese steamed buns stuffed with a juicy hunk of corned beef, red cabbage, and 1,000 island dressing, and turmeric cured fluke with peanuts. Friendly service, and a large selections of beverages round out the experience. Glad I finally made it, just in time for the restaurant to close. Looking forward to trying again in the new location.

Much anticipated but not something to remember... The diahes we're okay but not more than that. One dish was returned because it was mainly mayonnaise which hide the rest of the ingredients. The cocktails we're nice It took for ever to clean some dirt of our table and the floor was sticky.

WE WALKED OUT!! MASSIVE SERVICE PROBLEM!! After 20 MINUTES, we finally ordered drinks. They were terrible. We sent them back. Bartender argued, claiming drinks made correctly (an everyday drink)! If bartender was right, (SHE WASN’T) why not just redo them? Waiter reports argument to us, says “Beverage Coordinator” was coming. Beverage Coordinator arrived as we were leaving. I said I didn’t need Beverage Coordinator to discuss an everyday cocktail, and I was furious at the service. On way out, I looked back to see Beverage Coordinator giving waiter earful. She clearly recognized the issue. To be clear, I have been to the restaurant before, with about 15-20 people, and all was awesome. UNACCEPTABLE SERVICE THIS TIME!!!

Well..... what can I say. From the minute we walked in it was welcoming. “Emily” was such a sweetheart and made sure we were taken care of immediately while waiting for our table. While waiting at the bar “Franklin” approached us and apologized for the delay... and comped our beverages. Such a kind gesture. We were then escorted to our table and “Jay” was ever so polite and delivered great service. The food was AMAZING...!!!

The food was awesome. Healthy portion sizes, attractive plating, perfectly cooked. Service was friendly but a little scattered. I was there towards the end of lunch so it wasn’t that busy so not sure what was up with that. While I appreciate they made the best use of a big open space by hanging shades and lights behind them on the wall, it seemed a little dirty and/or not tip top clean. Particularly the floors, the stairs downstairs and bannister to the dining area and way to bathroom. I know it’s a high traffic place and the milk bar is more casual but I expected a bit more polish for the restaurant. My table was wobbly, though fixed adeptly by a server. It seemed those little extras need some refreshers. Marry that with wait staff who appear to wear whatever casual thing they want and not particularly well groomed it was an odd pairing and made it seem grungy in a way. Kind of like serving 2 buck chuck wine with an aged perfect cut of beef. Nothing wrong, exactly, but the match could be better for a more positive overall experience. I’d like to have seen the ambiance and personnel seem a little less disjointed from the food. But the food WAS really tasty and that’s why I came so overall I recommend.

Service was good, food was good. Could find nothing wrong with either, but I wouldn't expect to be blown away here. In contrast, Momofuku Noodle Bar was more casual, and the food was even better. I would eat here again, but I wouldn't be in a hurry to do so.

They are closing in June but act as if they’re done already. 25 minutes late inseating us for our reservation, and while hostess apologized we had to flag down water after 5 minutes at the table to even get water or menus. No one could answer questions about wine list. All food had to be ordered at once, but came out oddly timed so starter sized and items to share came out after main courses. 2nd bottle of wine that was ordered arrived when we had 3 bites of food left. Waited forever for bill and complete menu of transaction and then we were literally kicked out of the street to wait for a cab because they close at 11. (We were late in departing because of staff functions, not because we were lingering. One dish was what we would expect from other Momofuku restaurant experiences; the rest were quite underwhelming. We understand why the bathrooms and other facilities were decrepit (nobody will fix a place they’re closing) but overall a very disappointing experience, and not at all worth the price.

Our group of 10 ordered a variety of the menu items and shared them which made for a very delicious and interesting meal. I especially loved the corned beef buns. We also enjoyed the habanero fried chicken (though it was too spicy for my sister), the whole roasted branzino, and an assortment of the vegetable dishes. One diner did not want to see the head and requested it be served without it and it was served as requested. Oyster lovers loved the raw oysters. We ordered some dessert from the Milk Bar upstairs that was served at our table. Apparently it will be closing soon, but we would go back if it were to remain open.
