Momofuku CCDC offers group dining and private dining featuring customizable set menus.
Great ambiance, wait staff was terrific and the food was original and delicious.
Was seated 25 minutes after reservation time which is obviously not ideal. Also was bummed that pork buns/ramen came off the menu. I get the chef is trying to go local but I would think you could get those ingredients locally? They were the best items on the menu and the core of the quintessential Momofuku experience.
Amazing food!! So innovative, particular and fantastic! A must restaurant in DC
My husband and I had wanted to try one of David Chang's restaurants for years and just lucked out that a reservation opened up while we were visiting DC. It was everything we hoped for! All of the dishes were interesting, delicious, and beautiful. If you have the chance to eat here, go!!
Good food but no pork buns!
Its a shame that the staples are not part of the offering anymore. Service was busy, not as punctual as other times.
We had a great time
Had a table reservation however were able to eat at the bar and had fantastic service via Josh.
Look forward to next visit
Amazing service and food!! We will definitely be coming back!
The service and attention was unbelievable. Would definitely recommend this great dining experience.
The salads were fantastic, but our chicken wasn’t fully cooked, the branzino came with only 3 lettuce leaves to wrap a large filet’s worth of bland fish, and all four of us agreed that the dessert from milk bar (fruity cereal milk ice cream) was salty to the point of being inedible. Our servers were friendly and helpful. Still glad we tried it, but may just stick to the cookbook next time we want something from David Chang.
Absolutely loved it. Great explanation of sizing to be able to decide how many items to order for the group size. Staff was so kind and attentive. Loved the ribs, bing bread, and dumplings. Food came out FAST. Also like that milk bar is next door for dessert !
Service a bit slow
Overpriced for the kind of food they serve . I guess they charge for their name, because the NYC restaurant it’s amazing.
Just flew into town on Valentine’s Day and has a terrific meal. Each course was better than the last
Food was bad
I was very disappointed in my meal at Momofuku. I have been there before and it was great. this time my chicken had rubbery skin and was over-spiced . It tasted similar to the frozen chicken curry with soggy rice which I buy for my kids at the grocery store. Also the curried beets were boring and my companion's fish was way too salty. I will not go back.
Food was okay. Patrons should not look for delicate flavors at this restaurant. The noise level was very high so it was tiring to hold a conversation. One try is enough.
Excellent food. We loved the dry spiced chicken
Eight of us went to Momofuku for dinner to celebrate my husband’s birthday, and the food was absolutely delicious and consistently wonderful for the 8 of us, which is, hands down their best selling point -and frankly, that should be the strongest point of any restaurant-. The ambiance, noise level and lighting were wonderful too. The reason I am not giving them 5 stars overall is because the service was not good. The waiters were standoffish and did their bare minimum. A restaurant like this should put a lot more emphasis on providing an excellent service, and have more professional and service oriented waiters. These guys were as professional and prepared as college kids on a summer job. Also, they have a system in which they give you a number for your doggie bag to pick up at the door, and although is nice to not to have a bunch of bags under the table, several of us forgot our delicious leftovers, so I rather have the bags under the table.
We ate from the brunch menu. No ramen but they had Impossible Burgers and other good choices. Love the dessert menu from the adjacent Milkbar.
Delicious, creative dishes, great ambience, excellent service!
Great fun! The staff is great. Ambiance is not the most intimate and comfortable. the food was great, but very limited brunch menu. Drinks tasty. Price point is actually comparable to other DC places.
The new menu is only okay...... Momofuku without ramen as an option is not really Momofuku ...... it's probably my problem
The menu online looks incredible. Until you get there and realize there are only 5 things on the menu. We were disappointed. The service was terrible, the server didn't fill our drinks or ask us if we wanted more wine. We had to stop him and ask. The bread was good but they brought us 2 tiny pieces for 4 people. Made no sense. We were the 1st couple in the door for our reservation. The hostess removed the closed sign from the door, looked at us, and then walked away behind the counter with 3 couples standing inside the vestibule waiting! Instead of just opening the door and welcoming us. Truly foolish behavior. The other hostess put us all the way in the back in the last table by the window on the coldest night of the year. We asked to sit 1 table away from the window, apparently that was a problem because they proceeded to move us to an entirely new section when the entire restaurant was empty. Oh, that table remained empty the entire time we were there. The main course was so-so the lamb was barely noticeable and the steak was 'eh' at best. The desert was terrible, someone decided ice chipped passion fruit on custard is a thing? It was terrible, first bite is all water second flavor is watered down custard. All in all, terrible service, terrible hostess, mediocre food, and a high bill. Not worth the trip or the money.
Amazing!! We couldn’t have asked for a better meal.
Four of us shared an appetizer (chicken liver mousse and "Bing bread") and three courses: the duck (delicious - but apparently not a regular item), branzino, and hand-cut pasta (with braised lamb, mushrooms, rapini, cumin chili relish). One of the few meals we've had in which each course was universally praised. The duck was outstanding, though, so we hope it is available on future visits. We had the pitcher of the Kira's cup cocktail and liked it enough to ask for the recipe (a request that was politely refused).
My girlfriend birthday
Expensive, trendy, but overall good experience
Food was great, though somewhat limited selection. Server was helpful in making recommendations. Learned an important lesson -- after ordering a cocktail, I then ordered a glass of wine based on server's recommendation, without looking at wine list. Was shocked when we got the check to see the glass was $21!!!!! I took responsibility but mentioned it to the server, and restaurant knocked off a few dollars, which I appreciated. Will never make that mistake again.
Service at Momofuku is excellent. The food here is good, but not great. We really enjoyed the curried red beets, and the bok choy & mushrooms. The branzino was delicious and cooked perfectly with delightfully crispy skin. However, the lettuce leaves that accompanied the branzino were a confusing and tasteless accompaniment. For $27, a real vegetable accompaniment would be appreciated. Unfortunately, I just don't get the allure of the bing bread. While I would return to the restaurant and try some of the other dishes, I wouldn't get the bing bread again.
Service was amazing
Disappointed that there was no more Ramen on the menu.
Philly transplant here for ~6-7 years, and Momofuku never disappoints! They switch up the menu often, so we always have something new to look forward to. A staple is the butter and honey bing bread, which I have dreams about. This past go we finally tried the branzino and it was heavenly. It’s also attached to Milk Bar if you’ve never been, but also have delicious desserts made in house. Highly recommend. Penicillin for a cocktail is a must.
Loved the food and drinks. Decor was great. Only complaint is that they were 15 minutes late in our reservation and the restaurant is a bit loud.
Went here to celebrate my husband’s birthday with some friends and we absolutely loved it!! ALL of the food we ordered was amazingly delicious and for what you get not really too highly priced!! Highly recommend!!
We stopped in to Momofuku for my husband's birthday and we enjoyed several of their dishes that included creativity and an enjoyable fusion of flavors. The service was excellent-friendly, prompt, and attentive. The ambiance is really nice and we would highly recommend it.
Loved it! The food and ambience were great!
Get the duck
Really delicious and interesting new menu!
Loved the inventive foods, eclectic wine list, and the great service!
