The spicy cucumbers are a revelation. They--and so much of the food-- was fresh and light.

An excellent meal from start (Bing bread with duck mousse) to finish (that evenings special of roast duck) showcased the kitchens ability to deliver on flavors both subtle and bold. Certainly worth another visit.

Momofuku CCDC is a great dining experience. Me and my family just came into DC from SF and following a quick check-in to our hotel, I surprised my wife and teenage daughter with a reservation at Momofuku. The staff is friendly and welcoming. We started out with drinks and Bing Bread with the Smoke Carolina Trout spread. We moved on to the small plates...Hamachi Tartare, the Charred Arrowhead Cabbage, and the Aged Beef Dumpling Soup. Then we ordered some large plates; the Branzino Ssäm – a flaky, white meat fish served with spicy ginger scallion on lettuce rounds. And we wrapped up with the Braised Lamb Neck Noodles (like pappardelle).

The food here is delicious and I don’t think there’s anything that you will order that is not absolutely wonderful. The ambiance is great with a great selection of music that matches the evolving energy in the room. This place just satisfies!

This was the best dining experience we've all had in a very long time - the flavors that Chef Tae and his team are creating can't even be described. My friends & I shared every dish and couldn't get enough of all of them. And the service & hospitality of the whole team elevates the whole experience even further. I can't wait to go back!

LOVED IT! Huge fan of David Chang and was thrilled to have finally try some of his food. I actually came here twice during this trip! I had the beet salad, carrot/grapefruit salad, hamachi tartare, branzino ssam, as well as the honey/butter/gochugaru bing. Everything was executed with beautiful plating and flavors of Asian cuisine that wasn't overpowering. The cocktails were also perfectly done, without too much sweetness or citrus (which I find happens quite often in specialty cocktails). Can't wait to try many of his other restaurants!

Great first time brunch experience at Momofuku- we’ll definitely be back. Loved the minimalist Tadao Ando meets Toronto street art gallery aesthetic.

#1 Bing bread lived up to all of the accolades we’d heard before. The honey butter is amazing-

#2 Family friendly ambiance: no kid menus but no hipster rude ‘tude either which we sometimes get when we bring our 9 year old to some restaurants (cough, cough like almost everywhere on 14th or Shaw). We have a picky eater and our server was nice about making suggestions about what accommodations could be made. She devoured the “plain” rice bowl, which had a super yummy dried seaweed garnish, and the spicy fried chicken (sauce on the side and no garnishes).

#3 Tasty sandwiches and sides: my “meat and potatoes” spouse approved of the spicy fried chicken and my fried green tomato sandwich was crispy, light and flavorful. Loved the curried red beet side with the radish garnish as well.

#4 Don’t skip dessert- crack pie and birthday cake are winners.

All-in-all thoroughly enjoyed our meal and looking forward to our next visit to try other menu items~

We were very excited to eat at Momofuku. The food was delicious, we had the chicken liver mousse and shared the half of duck. Our cocktails were also delicious, and we got dessert from the milk bar. I had a cookie and cereal milk affogato which was a perfect and to the meal. I highly recommend eating here.

Service was great. I was running late for reservation and host was able to accommodate. Server was great and spot on recommendations. Ordered the four course meal, first two were great, would not have chosen them as first choice, didnt leave a bite. Main course was fried chicken. It was good. Desert was nice and not too sweet. Overall good meal with great service.

Hamachi tartare out of control tangy delicious —served like a ceviche with citrus cooking it while you eat it

French onion dip is sublime —looks like hummus but it’s really Gruyére.

I hate rosé but I loved the sparkling Chardonnay and rosé Pinot offering. The Jungle Bird packs a punch with an exotic rum. Stainless steel straws score extra points with me!

The roasted branzino was to die for—a delish twist on the fish taco.

Service was great.

Enjoyed a Friday night dinner. Food was tasty across the board. Confused on desert as we expected to see a milkbar menu. Had to ask for it as the prospect of going outside to get desert was crazy. Lines out the door for the milkbar.

It was very disappointing to see that the "staple" noodle soups and pork buns are gone from the menu. The food was VERY salty. Could not taste anything other than salt. Momofuku was a destination for it's signature dishes, but now it is not different than any other DC middle of the road restaurant. The only thing going for it is the CityCenter location. So disappointing.

The pasta entree tasted like an Italian dish. Didn’t care for it. The habachi dish was delicious. The dumplings were tasty. I would have preferred more spice in my food. I did ask the server for something spicy whether it was sliced chili’s or a paste.. but it wasn’t spicy what he brought me. Over all server was nice.

Service was good for how busy the restaurant was. Our reservation was at 7:45, but we weren’t able to sit until well after 8:00pm. We passed the time at the bar, and our bartenders were outstanding. The table side service was pretty good once we sat down. The food was phenomenal, and they had a fantastic wine list with lots of Virginia wine!

The overall experience was quite disappointing. Felt like I was at Nando’s Peri-Peri except with worse service and meh food. Server forgot about our drinks multiple times and only started being prompt when we were paying for the meal. Very disappointing and strange that the restaurant wouldn’t accommodate another meal in lieu of what we had already preordered and was part of the tasting menu. Plenty of other places to check out in DC for these prices. Do not recommend Momofuku CCDC.
