Great food, super fast friendly service and pretty close to fun venues in Bushwick. Would return.
The service was incredible. Our waiter gave us updates when our food was taking some extra time.
Just happened to be in Brooklyn waiting for my kids to enjoy a concert at Brooklyn Steel. This came up on Open Table because the one I found by googling 'great cafes in Brooklyn' had no spots. Thanks Open Table! This was perfect.
My first time was the best time. I enjoyed every moment of it and will keeping coming again and again! Good drinks, food and people!!
Great food, great service, good drinks, love this place.
We had a great New Years Eve dinner here. Their pre fixed 5 course dinner menu was overall very good. We had to sit outside in an enclosed glass patio which thankfully was heated. Service was excellent. Cute, quaint little restaurant in the Bushwick area of Brooklyn.
Went with out of town relatives to show them Brooklyn and it got raves. Escargot was the winner of the appetizers and steak frites, lamb, duck, and mussels were all favorites (but my lamb was the winner.) Dessert was amazing--the gelato/sorbets were deeply flavored and intense. Definitely a winner!
Informal and friendly spot. Relaxed atmosphere, helpful servers with French accent and unbeatable $1 oysters during happy hour.
The snails were probably the best I have ever had.
Would like to come back again for more!
This place was phenomenal, from the food to the service to the staff. Everyone there loved it and so did we!
The food and the apps were tasty, but the drinks were lacking alcohol.
Great food and even better service! The boys there made my boyfriends birthday dinner a very special event! Thank you so much Mominette :)
Nice place, friendly staff- the best thing was the oysters
We were catching up with friends over great food and wine. The staff added to the ambiance, being French and all! It was a cute setup outside. Delicious food and great beverages! Would definitely come back
The best bushwick has to offer with the nicest staff by far.
Our second time and still one of our favorites! The salmon is always fantastic and so are the desserts and appetizers!! Awesome place with cute outdoor seating.
Lovely French restaurant with romantic, fun outdoor garden. Definitely have the onion soup
Was genuinely surprised by how good the food was. The portions were generous so much so that we were able to bring home a doggie bag. Well priced, even the specials. Would definitely recommend giving it a try. You won't be disappointed.
Everything was just lovely! The food was incredible. I had the salmon with potato gratin and escargot, and my boyfriend loved his dish as well (the duck breast). Drinks were great too, and the service was perfect! This will be our new spot for regular date nights!!
On the back of the restaurant there is a romantic spot, with lamps and plants.
Food came out a bit slow but was well worth it ..... very very nice staff and quite accommodating
Friendly and attentive staff. Delicious oysters and desert. We loved the vegetable lasagna, but my husband was a little disappointed with the roast duck and found the sauce to be a bit too greasy. Probably picked wrong menu item because the rest was yummy. It was lively place but not noisy - a rare combination.
Excellent service. Every server that came by was extremely friendly and attentive. We sat outside and their patio is super cute and cozy. Would be a great date night spot. Food was also great- 3 of us shared the meat and cheese board as an appetizer, a burger, gnocchi, and mushroom pesto pasta. All were fantastic!
Food was alright, good wine list, nice little garden
Easily the best restaurant in this part of Bushwick, and wonderful outdoor area and $1 oysters as well, nothing negative to say about the experience.
Great place with nice atmosphere .iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii
they don't use traditional wine glasses
small cocktail menu that was also expensive
Really great and welcoming staff! The space is a comfortable size and they were very accommodating.
Just found the name on Open Table and gave it a try. Quiet when we first arrived and got much busier throughout. Oysters were great. Tuna was excellent.
Bathrooms could have been a little nicer. Wi definitely go back.
Warm and charming oasis on edgy Knickerbocker St. in Bushwick. We were seated in the "garden" in the back in the middle of February - and it was great! It's enclosed (obviously) and the floor is gravel. The main area is very lively, charming, and very different in feel, but both dining areas are wonderful. Food is good and a god value, but the kitchen is not terribly efficient. Took us over an hour to get the food and one of the dishes came a full 10 minutes after everyone else was served. Still, we were enjoying the ambience and each other's company so all good!
Came here for Valentine's Day, have been before. Excellent food, kitchen was a little slow but they more than made up for it by bringing a couple of comped glasses of champagne. Love their steak frites, burger is also great (but it's pretty good French food, so maybe branch out a little!)
Everything was wonderful. The food the ambiance, the service, ohhh and did i mention the food. Absolutely delicious, i can't wait to go back.
Great service, food very French, with very tasty moules marinières and good sauce. Not to be missed in Bushwick!
Amazing. Sat outside and food was so great. Service was excellent as well
Excellent service and really great food/wine at a super reasonable price. Highly recommend! :)
Had a great night. Foie Gras yum zoom crash bsm bang
A favorite date spot of ours . Dollar oysters are always fresh, with an awesome variety to choose from. The es cargo is absolutely fantastic and a special treat for us. Service is consistent without being in your face. It's got a classic feel - a small French bistro with lots of gems on the menu.
excellent all around!
Not a great experience at Mominette. Not until after we dined at Mominette did friends tell us "They've really gone downhill in the last two years" and "they have rats". Now we see why.
We ordered mussels, the pork special, a side of brussel sprouts and the Apple Tart Tartan. The Pork special was absolutely delicious, tender perfection. The mussels were advertised "w/ roasted tomatoes". The entire pot had probably a 1/4 of a tomato in it. They were flavorless and soaked in butter. French fries were obviously good. And the crust on the Tart Tartan was undercooked, apples were good however.
Server forgot our brussel sprouts, which we had to remind him of. When dinner ended he seemed to push dessert on us to say "I've got you covered for messing up before". However he forgot to tell us the dessert special. My girlfriend who is a baker spotted the Apple Tart Tartan at a neighbor table and had to ask him about it, which he then informed us of. When the bill arrived, nothing was compensated or excused. Meaning he clearly didn't tell management of the mess up.
Over priced, flavorless food, unapologetic wait staff, cool vibe. Not worth the hype.
Had a great time, dinner and drinks. Tried the absinthe at the bar with the water tap and sugar. Eric was a great host. Will definitely be back soon!
Garden seating was very nice.
