Momiji Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
The Kyoto-style garden, right in the middle of the restaurant, was terrific. The menu was creative and extensive, and the food was great!
I read that it gets noisy, so we went in the early evening. That was a really good choice because it was quite loud by the time we left.
Loved the experience and definitely plan to go again!
Wait to get a table, wait for a server, wait for your drinks, wait more for your food, remind your server about the drink order, wait for the check. The food was great, good texture awesome flavor, the soup was hot and tasty. If you can get the staff's attention they are friendly. Very noisey, like What? WHAT?
Food and service were fantastic. Beautiful decor. However it was incredibly noisy. The people at the table next to us were very rowdy and no one asked them to lower their volume. I could hardly hear my date across the table at times. Good for a more casual night out.
Momiji was absolutely amazing! The atmosphere was seriously gorgeous and our seats were amazing. I definitely recommend making a reservation as the restaurant was quite busy for 7pm. Being able to sit at the sushi bar and chat with the chef was fantastic, seeing as though we kind of forgot what all was in our $60 sushi omakase (chef's choice). The fish was cut a little too thick for my liking, but even so it tasted amazing! We also got an order of gyoza which tasted absolutely perfect, and my SO can confirm that the sake is top notch.
I had family visiting from out of town. They have high expectations on fish in seattle. They were amazed at the food, as was I, because it tasted just as good as it looked!
Presentation is clearly important to this restaurant. The taste of their food lived up to any expectation. Sushi is perfectly presented and is as fresh tasting as you can get without eating it on a boat!
I went to Momiji for a late dinner with a friend. We were seated around 10pm and there was still a decent amount of people seated, but definitely past the dinner rush. Long story short, our waitress provided the worst service I have ever received at a restaurant. I have worked as a waitress in the past and I can still say with confidence there was no excuse for her service. She was rude, unapologetic, and slow. We left the restaurant at 11:35pm (so over an hour and a half) and we only ordered a tuna tataki appetizer and two sushi rolls. The food was amazing and I would love to recommend this restaurant but the service was horrible enough for me to never go back.
Excellent food, unbelievable sushi, the service was excellent -- Particularly the hostess. We had changed our reservation several times, and she made it so that we could sit in the courtyard after all. She was excellent at customer service! It was a Wednesday night. This is my go to restaurant for birthdays and anniversaries and any other special occasion – I would recommend it to most anyone
The food was fresh, the serving was huge and scrumptious. Service was fast however we noticed that our section had only one server and more than two runners. It could have been faster if there were additional servers. Folks were a little-agitated waiting to be served. The hostess, at the front desk, could use some lessons on being friendly, warm and being more empathetic. She may be a very nice person, however, her body language and demeanor that evening came across as aloof and distant. This are just my observations which can be amended but overall my experience regarding the food and the ambiance was excellent.
It's a wonderful restaurant, great food, beautiful ambience, but what really needs improving is for the employees to pick up the phone for any event changes instead of go on this application to schedule another time or trying to edit my reservation manually. Or trying to leave a voicemail hoping someone would call me back to confirm the reservation had changed. Other than that service was not the greatest, but it was average.
I would reccomend this place to a friend, but I would be sure to let them know the exact time and number of people who are willing to come thru to the event.
Love your food.
The staff is great.
The back room is way to loud to talk across a table.
We had to move tables to the front You really should get a sound expert in to help you do something about it. Add some soft surfaces, fabrics, ceiling tiles?? It’s really unpleasant back there
