Momiji Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
Momijis is the best sush in Seattle area...simply said. And I've tried many. The decor, the service, the food-fresh, delicious, pretty but unpretentious .. everything is perfect. I've been several times, and there's never been a "dud". Highest recommendation. Nuff said.
We went to Momiji for my boyfriend's birthday and it was exactly the sushi experience we were looking for. The menu is huge and everything looked so good that we had a hard time deciding what to get! We ended up ordering two small plates, sashimi and two specialty rolls. The food was extraordinarily fresh and well crafted. The flavors are fantastic. This place is bit pricey but its well worth it for the quality and the ambiance. I would definitely go again for a special occasion.
I've been to Momiji a few times now and I am never disappointed by the sushi. It is definitely on the pricier side, so it is not somewhere I visit on a regular basis. One of my friends has a seafood allergy and was able to find plenty of vegetarian options that she greatly enjoyed. The cocktail list is extensive and very good. Highly recommend the 12th avenue special roll. Pro tip: the value is great if you go for their late night happy hour.
Probably the best sushi I’ve had! A little bit pricier but definitely worth it in freshness and deliciousness! The wait for food is the quickest! The only thing I would complain about would be that there isn’t much of a customer connection/ waiter didn’t have much personality/ conversation! And make sure you make a reservation or you will be waiting for awhile!!! But all in all one of the best restaurants!!!
The fish for the sushi was really poor quality and very fishy. I re ordered twice thinking it was just one roll but all the rolls were like that. We ended up spending over $100 on food that we barely ate - the waitress didn’t care about the feedback and didn’t think twice to ask about all the left over food.
The Kyoto-style garden, right in the middle of the restaurant, was terrific. The menu was creative and extensive, and the food was great!
I read that it gets noisy, so we went in the early evening. That was a really good choice because it was quite loud by the time we left.
Loved the experience and definitely plan to go again!
Wait to get a table, wait for a server, wait for your drinks, wait more for your food, remind your server about the drink order, wait for the check. The food was great, good texture awesome flavor, the soup was hot and tasty. If you can get the staff's attention they are friendly. Very noisey, like What? WHAT?
Food and service were fantastic. Beautiful decor. However it was incredibly noisy. The people at the table next to us were very rowdy and no one asked them to lower their volume. I could hardly hear my date across the table at times. Good for a more casual night out.
Momiji was absolutely amazing! The atmosphere was seriously gorgeous and our seats were amazing. I definitely recommend making a reservation as the restaurant was quite busy for 7pm. Being able to sit at the sushi bar and chat with the chef was fantastic, seeing as though we kind of forgot what all was in our $60 sushi omakase (chef's choice). The fish was cut a little too thick for my liking, but even so it tasted amazing! We also got an order of gyoza which tasted absolutely perfect, and my SO can confirm that the sake is top notch.
I had family visiting from out of town. They have high expectations on fish in seattle. They were amazed at the food, as was I, because it tasted just as good as it looked!
Presentation is clearly important to this restaurant. The taste of their food lived up to any expectation. Sushi is perfectly presented and is as fresh tasting as you can get without eating it on a boat!
I went to Momiji for a late dinner with a friend. We were seated around 10pm and there was still a decent amount of people seated, but definitely past the dinner rush. Long story short, our waitress provided the worst service I have ever received at a restaurant. I have worked as a waitress in the past and I can still say with confidence there was no excuse for her service. She was rude, unapologetic, and slow. We left the restaurant at 11:35pm (so over an hour and a half) and we only ordered a tuna tataki appetizer and two sushi rolls. The food was amazing and I would love to recommend this restaurant but the service was horrible enough for me to never go back.
