Molly Maguire's Irish Pub and Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
Brunch lasted about 4 hours- it was a buffet, which includes an omelet and is very well priced. We could have been out of there much sooner, but waited and waited and waited 1.5 hours to be exact for our check, before flagging down another waiter. We would definitely go back though.
Too noisy...will not go back if going with friends. Very difficult talking to others because of the noise. I believe there was a live band in the bar area which affected the dining room. Rack of lamb was very good but very small. Left the restaurant hungry. That's not good.
Had dinner here after the second round of the PGA golf tournament. Selected it due to its proximity to the parking facility and promising menu. We were not disappointed! The food and service were excellent and we enjoyed the ambience. A great way for friends to top off a fun day!
The service was attentive and friendly, but the kitchen was SLOW. Very slow. This was a problem because some of our party had the brunch buffet and some ordered from the kitchen. So those people were sitting there not eating. For a long time. Other than that - I would go back again and recommend it. But the kitchen has to be a little quicker.
Everything was perfect! Sunday night we enjoyed the prime rib special and we raved about the nice portions cooked to perfection. The servers help each other to be sure that your pint is always filled. Manager even checked on us with a smile. Great selection of whiskey and beer. Prices are very reasonable! Authentic Irish feel and atmosphere. We will be back!!
Come here for the drinks, not the food. Ordered a corned beef sandwich and the entire thing was full of fat. I pretty much took all of the corned beef off and just ate the bread. Told the waiter which he apologized and said he would let the chef know and would take off of our bill. He did forget to take it off the bill, once we reminded him he removed it. wings are really good here though!
We came for the Easter brunch on Sun, at 11:45. Some of the foods were cold (bacon, French toast, pancakes, scrambled eggs), although the potatoes, pasta and chicken were hot. The starting price was good ($12.99 pp), but then we paid extra for every other item. I understand alcoholic beverages, but it was disappointing to pay for coffee, tea, juice and soda.
Many brunches have pitchers of juice available at the buffet or it would have been nice if at least the refills were free! I also don't agree with an 18% gratuity automatically added on a serve yourself meal. It cost $30 for someone to serve us drinks! So the $12.99 pp quickly became more like $20 pp.
We also waited over 15 minutes for the check. This is the second time coming for the Easter Brunch. Would I come again ? Probably not.
From being greeted to served the staff was attentive and efficient. We had a beautiful table right next to the fireplace on a cold night. The wait staff and servers gave us plenty of time to order and the food came out of the kitchen quickly. The restaurant had a English pub ambiance that was warm and interesting. Near the end of the meal, a couple of tables got loud with kids. That was the only down side. I would definitely go back.
I have been to Molly Maguire's many times before. Went with my wife and another couple. I've had the Roasted Rack of Lamb several times, decided to try an Irish Mist Steak for a change. The sauce was very good, steak was a bit overcooked (asked for medium rare, it was just a bit past medium), but still tender. My friend had the lamb, and he wasn't disappointed. Potato Leek and French Onion soups were very good. My wife enjoyed the Salmon Rockefeller. It was a Saturday night, and the restaurant was packed. Good thing I had made a reservation.
You can enjoy tasty pub food in a neighborhood setting at Molly Maguires . The servers are always friendly (Tara) and accommodating .
Our food was served promptly and hot. Try the potato croquettes with your entree instead of mashed or baked for a nice change.
The early bird specials offer a good variety for those who like to eat early.
We would suggest reservations for a Saturday night.
I used to lunch at Molly's frequently when I worked in the vicinity. Now, I plan monthly dinners for our social group to include different places others have not been to and to accommodate the difference in food preferences. Molly's fit the criteria perfectly. Our party of 10 had enough room and was served in a quick, friendly and efficient manner. We were in the bar area, so the guys were able to see portions of the "game" on TV. My crab cake appetizer and custom Molly Burger was better than expected. Everyone enjoyed our visit! Thanks!
We each had the small Cesar salad- fresh tasting! I had the crab stuffed shrimp with the potato croquettes- shrimp weren't jumbo but cooked well. The potato croquettes were a good recondition by our server- Tara- she was very helpful with suggestions. My husband went wild over the rack of lamb. He was VERY surprised expecting something average but found the lamb to be "cooked perfectly, tender, sweet, devoid of any gaminess". We came on a night with a very popular band so we stayed to enjoy the music. Overall a good experience with an older (40's) bar crowd.
We went to brunch on Mother's Day. We were seated immediately at a comfortable table. While the restaurant was busy, our waitress came over to us immediately to take our drink order. She explained how the brunch was run and we headed to got some food. Brunch was standard brunch fair. The food quality was fine as expected and there was plenty waiting for us. The service was outstanding. Our waitress was very nice and accomodated our needs (we have an autistic child with very specific food requirements). I would definately recommend going to Molly Mcguire's.
