Been here several times , normally enjoy everything, but this time around, it wasn't as good as I used to remember it to be, esp at their prices.

Such a great experience from taking off my shoes and dining inside of a glass lowered setting table with seat cushions. Overall a great experience, food was fast, fresh & tasty! Cindy & May are so friendly great service from start to finish!

The Spicy Beef Ramen is to die for! And the yakitori is amazing as well. I love this place.

We didn't like the ramen. The yakitori may be better, we didn't try it.

Terrible tonkotsu ramen (bland with mushy noodles) and just about everything we tried (BBQ oysters, fried rice ball, salad, etc) were relatively unappetizing/of low quality. The atmosphere was interesting though

I loved the atmosphere, I can see the perfect date there, but I went with family.

It was really nice, really good food, but paid $125 for 3 people. We wanted to try an assortment of food, most was really good, but a few was just ok.

The food was fantastic and I've been there before but the service was awful this time around. It took about 20 minutes before anyone attempted to start a drink order, we couldn't get anyone's attention to get menus, my beer came out warm and flat when I was finally able to order it, when asked for a sake suggestion the server pretty much rolled her eyes and we only saw her again at the end of the meal after we had to flag down other people to complete our order. Terrible service this time around but the food was still pretty damn good.

I was so excited to go to this restaurant because of all of the great reviews but I was disappointed. The restaurant is outdated and not clean. A lot of dust if you look up towards the ceiling. It doesn't look like the owner or management has done a good job of keeping the place up to par. Unfortunately these details affected our dining experience—food and all.

Servers were very attentive, food was awesome, the tatami seating made it a very nice quiet environment where you could easily have a conversation.

You can always count on the quality of the food here! You can never go wrong with any of the Ramens but the Tonkatsu is our favorite! Staff is always friendly and attentive.

This is our favorite go-to place. The japenese style seating doesn't fly well with our older folks. I wish there's a regular table for a bigger party as well, just so we have options.

Over rated and over priced. Very hit and miss on the food. Terrible service. It took an hour to get an appetizer. It was so bad I called the front desk from our table to ask if we'd been forgotten. Tipsy waitress helps herself to our sake. Looked like a lot of young posers and Russian Mafia hanging out.

Went here on a Thursday for a dinner date with my boyfriend because we knew there would be exotic meat selections. However, they ran out of the alligator, silkworm and camel which were what we came for but the server informed us really fast, apologized and gave us other options to choose from. We ended up trying other exotic meats which were cooked with so much flavor. Servers were nice!

On the plus side was the wide variety of foods, provided in small portions that let us sample a lot of different things, from quail eggs to coyote. Unfortunately the service was poor, and that put a damper on an interesting dining experience. It can be recommended because it is unique, but I would caution anyone to expect slow or nonresponsive service.

I found this place for an early dinner before taking The BART at Millbrae to the city to see the Hamilton Musical. We were pleasantly surprised. The tables are partitioned with floor to ceiling glass. The tables are of Tatami style with opening under the table so you can sit normally with feet down. We ordered a few yakitori dishes. The chicken wings, potato croquet and beef tongues were excellent. The tofu was just warm and not hot. The clam soup pot was very tasty but a little sandy. All in all, the place was fun and relaxing. The service was great. The price was reasonable. The modern light jazz music they played was excellent. I would definitely go back again.

I like the variety of food and semi-private glass dividers. However the service was slow and we kept receiving the wrong dishes meant for other tables. The server would come back in a few minutes to retrieve these dishes to be served again at the right tables which seems unhygienic. Otherwise, a fun place with good food.

We love yakitori and have been to many yakitori places including in Japan. So excited to try a new place to us.
Quality and cookery of food were very nice and we loved it, but it was a little disappointing that every items we ordered were a little bit over seasonings.
It might be ok if you order only few items but a little too much if you eat many dishes in our opinion. We understand saltiness and strong seasoned food (especially soy sauce or teriyaki sauce Japanese food) are very good match with having alcohol together but we appreciate it if we get a little bit less seasoning in order to enjoy tasting of food itself, and we think it will be helpful to enjoy when you add on wasabi or yuzu flavor on the top. The atmosphere of restaurant was very nice and cozy. It's a nice touch that each table is separated by glass window and you can get more private feeling so that you can enjoy conversation without being interrupted by other customers. All waitresses were very kind and attentive:)

We had a great time. All of the food we ordered was good. The service was great and we liked the modern decor. We went on a Wednesday and had a reservation. They were having the exotic meat special which was pretty neat. We el definitely be going back again.

I've been to many high end restaurants in the Bay Area and for the $250+ we spent for a party if 2, this was one of the worst meals I've ever had. Only one out of the 5 courses was enjoyable. With so many amazing choices on the peninsula, and even in Burlingame, don't waste your time or money.

No bar, so if you arrive early there is no place to wait. Hostess not very friendly or accommodating. Don't really care if you come back, maybe because they have their regular customers, but that's no excuse since prices are not cheap. Waitress was very good and food is ok. Would not go back any time soon though.

The restaurant had its own parking lot but it was full even when the restaurant had only a few patrons
We had the miso ramen and the black garlic ramen which were delicious as was the chicken karaage, the Fried squid tentacles and the quail wrapped in bacon
The fried chicken skin was not Crisp since it was drenched in a sauce and very small portion was in the order.
Other than that, I would come back again. Food was delicious

We made a reservation and had to wait for 20 minutes for a table. Upon entering the dinning room, there were many tables available. Food was good as always. We waited for over 30 minutes for food to arrive. The restaurant was not so busy at the time. This had happened at our previous visit when we also had to inquire about when our food would be served after 1/2 hour. Disappointed and wish they would fix whatever the problems were to cause the long delay of seating and serving of food.

Not with the effort. The food was not great for the price paid. The grilled squid was undercooked. The creme brulee was extremely overpriced for something that was less than Safeway quality. Never again.

Overpriced, although unique experience with private tables is a plus. On the downside, taking off shoes with dirty seat cushions and floors, food was expensive for the quantity/quality, we could taste the gas/fuel of the grill more than the charcoal...

Authentic Japanese "izakaya" style - good quality and tasty. Good ambiance and attentive service.

One gripe - pricy for the volume of food you get. Also parking is a challenge even on weekday evening. Had to search for parking around the block.
