We went in for lunch and there was nobody in the restaurant. Even with no customers, the service was very sparse and inattentive. The food was good and the price was pretty good. The location is great and the interior of the restaurant is nice.

We ordered the paneer cheese tikka which was good. Everything went downhill from there. The butter chicken was average at best. The onion kulcha wasn't good. The lamb seekh kabab was decent though. Terrible value for money.

Terrible service. Waited for 10 minutes before they seated us. No one else waiting, plenty of tables, and we had reservations. Food was good but don't come here if you're in a hurry. One waitress. Extremely lackluster service.

Refreshingly authentic Indian food in a well decorated easily accessible spot in downtown Bellevue. Great service and free parking. What more could you ask?!

Nice presentation. Tasty food and fresh, not simply reheated which is what you often get at Indian restaurants in the area.

Good variety on the menu, especially for vegetarians. Prices were reasonable and we tried a variety. Sauces were a little sweeter than we expected but we will be back.

My entree was marked "gluten free" on the menu but was served with two large pieces of wheat bread on the plate with the rest of my food. The restaurant was nearly empty but we were seated at a tiny table next to the telephone- noisy. More comfortable seating was available so I don't know why the waiter seated us where he did. He was cranky. The food was OK but nothing I couldn't find at a buffet for a quarter of the price .

This review makes me sad to write because I LOVE the food at Moksha. My problem is with the service.

We were not greeted promptly upon arrival for a scheduled reservation, which by itself is not a big deal, but it was a sign of how the entire lunch would go. We had to wait around for a couple minutes before someone came out of the back of the restaurant to greet us and seat us.

As I mentioned, the food was very good, the portion sizes were perfect and everyone left very full and happy.

In general, service throughout the meal was considerably lacking. And when it came time to pay the bill, I was chastised for asking for separate checks, which embarrassed me in front of my colleagues. Keep in mind it was a workday, during the lunch hour, so as a server in Bellevue you might ask at the start of the meal if everyone will be paying individually. Don't put the onus on the customer, especially when splitting checks isn't actually that difficult.

Unfortunately, following this latest incident, I won't ever go back to Moksha and can't in good conscience recommend it to my friends either. I wouldn't want them to have the same negative experience with the staff. There are other delicious Indian options within walking distance that allow you to avoid this place.

The food is fragrant, tasty and comes rapidly. We were eating appys and got our dinners nearly 5 minutes after getting appetizers--so may be forgo appetizers. The curries are tasty. The Ras Malai is excellent for dessert. They made an error on our order and corrected it right away.

The service was good and the waitress was friendly and helpful but the food was disappointing. For Indian food it didn't have much to get excited about. Even the pickle was not very good. The garlic naan was nice.

This was our first time at this restaurant. Before ordering, we checked with the waiter about ordering because one of us is allergic to chili and three others don't like spicy food, and he named the only three things on the menu that would be safe, so we ordered those three things. When the food came, it was really clear they all had chili in them, and not just cross-contamination from the kitchen or a small amount that would still qualify the dish as mildly spicy, which would have been fine, but they were all about medium spicy. When we talked to the waiter and the manager about it, they were pretty wishy-washy and didn't seem at all concerned that they had provided incorrect information about an allergic situation, acting like we were just being fussy. The manager offered to make a dish of plain vegetables sautéed in butter and salt (not what I had in mind when going to an Indian restaurant), so we asked to refund one of the dishes, which he did, and then he apologized. The waiter mentioned both before the incident that they had gotten several complaints about not having any non-spicy options and after we complained that others had also complained about the food being too spicy when they requested mild, but the owner didn't care and wanted the food made the way he liked it. We haven't had problems at other Indian restaurants, so we'll go back to those...

The service was terrible. The waitress kept insisting on bringing expensive bottles of wine rather than the one we selected, she also changed our order. The restaurant also took more than an hour to put any food in our table and the place was not even full. Very bad experience. I don't recommend this place at all.

I've had better indian food than this, many times. It's not something I'd look forward to repeating, but I guess if you're in Bellevue Mall already than I suppose it's an okay option. I was also put off by the fact that all four of the menus we got were dirty (and they were paper menus, so really, just toss them and give out new ones!).

We went here after seeing it recommended by several people in a Facebook community as a good place to take a date. I love Indian food, but have not been able to enjoy it for years because of an allergy I developed to dairy (try finding Indian food with no milk, paneer, butter, cream, ghee, or yogurt; it can be challenging).

I was happy to see the menu labeled clearly with items that were vegan, vegetarian, and even gluten free (for those that that is important for). The wait staff spoke to the chef and pointed me at several options on the menu, as well as a few options for which the dairy-containing sauce could be substituted. I ordered Gobi Aloo off the menu (potato and cauliflower dish), and it was fantastic. My husband ordered a lamb curry, which he said was a solid, good curry, but he tasted the Gobi Aloo and called it "sublime."

Tried this restaurant on a Tuesday during the Seattle Restaurant week. The food and service were excellent, the decor is a bit sterile for my taste. The restaurant would be really noisy when it is full. The food was creative, and well presented. They had special dishes designed for Seattle Restaurant week, that included an assortment of sides. This presentation is not part of their regular menu. We plan to visit again to try their regular menu.

The food was very good. We ordered the chicken tikka masala and vegetarian biriyani (I write 'vegetarian' because I don't remember the actual name of the food the biriyani had, but it was definitely not any of the meat options), as well as naan and a side of rice. My friend and I debated about the rice, but the biriyani didn't have quite enough rice for the chicken tikka masala curry. It's a good thing that the rice is so affordable ($2).

Contrary to many TripAdvisor reviews, we found the food to be very good - not perfect, ethnic Indian, but excellent nonetheless. We have been enjoying Indian food in London, Vancouver, Seattle AND India for decades and we WILL dine here again. The butter chicken was more tomato influenced than what we're used to, but it was excellent. Our other Go-To dish, Lamb Pasanda, was not on the menu (a disappointment), but the lamb we had was very good, although the lamb seemed a little old, more mutton than lamb. The appetizers were excellent, especially the vegetable samosas. Charging extra for some of the chutneys, the mint sauce and the yoghurt sauce was a little unusual, but they were very good.

My friend and I both had the kurma (mine vegetable, hers chicken) which was good - not spicy as advertised though.

A mixed bag, for sure. Our curries were interesting and tasty without being dazzling. But we were served rock-hard samosas that would have raised nasty welts if we had started throwing them at each other. The service was welcoming and friendly but clumsy: plate-clearing was not handled well. Alas, cannot recommend.

Restaurant ambience is good and it's easy to get to after shopping and you don't want to re-park.
Service is slow - both the bar and the kitchen, so not great for a quick dinner.
Sauces are good, but often the meat is overcooked. Friday night dinner, Butter Chicken sauce was good, but chicken very overcooked and dry. Lamb Vindaloo was good. The Halibut Curry sauce was good but again, the fish overcooked. Still looking for a consistently good Indian restaurant in Bellevue.
