Dining at the Mohegan Manor has always been a treat! We dine there at least once a summer, as we are seasonal residents in the area, and we often take visitors. The service is excellent, and the food is always delicious.
The Service was excellent and so was the food. The staff was friendly and the owner came to the table to make sure that all was going well. I recommend Mohegan Manor to anyone who is looking for a good place to eat with a lot of charm.
Have already recommended Mohegan Manor to a friend who asked about our dinner there.
I consider Mohegan Manor to be above average to outstanding in all categories.
The staff is fantastic and always create the best dining experience no matter what area you dine or socialize. The atmosphere is fantastic and when the bands play it adds a little spice that keeps things interesting. This perfect combination will keep us coming back.
Very nice restaurant in an area that seriously lacks upper end dining options. Great attention was paid to our large group of dads and daughters.
The food was beyond exceptional! Everything was fresh and cooked perfectly.
Great Restaurant, Awesome Food, Awesome Staff, Very Ellagent Place, A bit Pricy but worth it The Staff are very attentive to your needs , One of the Chefs/Owners Jason Reith went out of his way and visited our Table Twice to make sure we were Happy !! 5 Stars I Highly recommend this Restaurant
The waiter took 20 minutes to greet us. The food was good once it finally came. The sushi was fantastic. Service was very slow and our server brought the wrong dessert and still charged us for it.
Sushi selection was great and the entree selections were enjoyable. Wish it was a little more crowded; too quiet the night we went.
What a really nice establishment Mohegan Manor was. From the moment you entered the restaurant, you felt at ease and comfortable. Our waiter was so very helpful, and explained dishes to us as well as the wine. We chose a sushi dish for an appetizer to share, and we were so happy with our choice. There are so many sushi rolls and dishes that look equally appetizing, and ours was so fresh and had delightful flavors. I chose a wonderful scallops dish, which melted in my mouth, along with a salad. My husband chose a lobster dish in a butter sauce, which was also delectable and tender as well as a salad. The waiter was attentive, and we had a delightful time. We are sure we will come again, and also bring our family as well.
Food was incredible. The wait staff was very attentive and not obtrusive at all. As we were leaving the owner asked if we were heading to their other location just down the street where they have an outdoor fire pit and bar. We did in fact go and were pleasantly surprised when the co owner came up and said he was glad to see we came and visited. He stopped several times to chat. Awesome place with great service. Highly recommended!
The sushi was amazing and the bartender was very nice and helpful. We even had a conversation with another gentleman at the bar which was very nice. For dessert we had the black raspberry frozen yogurt/ice cream and it was amazing! We will definitely be returning! Great experience!
It's nice to have a restaurant in the area where a very good tasting menu can be had. Each course was both delicious and elegant in presentation. The wait staff was great. Having some of the courses presented by the chefs (Kevin and Scott) was special.
We were looking for a new place to have dinner with friends, decided to try the Manor. Food was delicious and the service was outstanding. Would highly reccomend the facility.
During a recent stay at a B&B north of Syracuse NY, we found this gem in the heart of Baldwinsville NY. A very unique old style restaurant with tin ceilings, fireplace, and loads of ambiance. There's a sushi bar right in the lounge so enjoy a plate of fresh, hand made sushi with an excellently crafted cocktail before you dine. Nice wine list and professional staff. Everything from cocktails to dessert were perfect portions, nice presentation, and reasonably priced. We especially enjoyed the Escargot with gorgonzola. Very high level of service, something that is hard to find. We'll definitely be back
a friend suggested Mohegan Manor for dinner. its not hard to find but it is hidden among storefronts. i great place to eat and drink. the drinks were perfect and the food was great. We came for the steaks but had sushi as appetizers and they were made to perfection. highly recommended.
I'm very sorry to say, but I did not enjoy my experience overall. My seever, Mark, was great though. Mark made sure my group and I were having a great time. It is a shame to say that when it came to paying, it was ridiculous. At one point the owner came over and told my table that for each person on the reservation for open table, it cost him five dollars for each person to even have the reservation made on Open Table. I will not be recommending Mohegan Manor to anybody.
Took my wife here for our 5th anniversary and we loved it! The owner and staff worked with me to surprise my wife with a special bottle
of Dom Perignon I brought to the restaurant hours before our dinner. $15 corkage fee was very reasonable, and the service was spot on! Our appetizer and dinners were delicious and the chef even came to our table to wish us a happy anniversary. A big thank you to the owner and staff for perfect night out!!
We were at Mohegan Manor for the Basta Ristaurante 6 course tasting menu. This was our second time trying the tasting menu and it was as good as the first one in May/June. The service was a bit iffy at first, we had to wait about ten minutes for the host to arrive and seat us and service was slow to start, but the two waiters eventually got things moving at a very nice pace and food was very good. We are looking forward to the opening of this additional B'Ville restaurant and we hope they keep idea of a tasting menu after opening.
We attended a wedding at the Red Mill Inn in Baldwinsville not knowing the area and had a night to fend for ourselves for dinner. NOT much there but decided to try Mohegan manor. Excellent choice. Other places were recommended but we thought this place looked nice. Coming from the NY City area we found Mohegan Manor to be up there with the best restaurants. the service was excellent, the food outstanding, and the outdoor dining was a pleasure. If we were to ever go back to visit our relatives there, no doubt we would go back. Worth it on all levels!!!
Preparation and presentation of food at dinner time is taken to an art form. No matter what is ordered all is outstanding. Service is taken seriously and performed skillfully.
My husband I ventured out on a hot busy Saturday night. We were delighted with the cool. Calm ambience of the dining room and the attention from the staff as we were greeted seated and consulted on the chefs specialties. They pay attention to detail in all they do from the customer service and comfort to the elegant and thoughtful presentation of their dishes. This is not a place for bargain hunters or penny pin hers. I enjoy high quality food . We do not like large quantities of sub par food as we often encounter in other restaurants. We prefer to go less often and have a great experience, every time than have an ok experience more often. I rate them 5 stars!
An outstanding place to eat and relax in Central New York. Elegant service, wish to die for food, quiet, with an early 20th century ambience.
My wife & I were extremely pleased with all aspects of the evening. A very personal touch from entering the front door to leaving.
Service, menu & wine selections were very notable. Looking forward to our next trip.
Dennis & his staff are exceptional. The food is always delicious & the sushi so fresh we love it here!
The mains are not bad but appetizer choices are lacking and desserts are not good at all. Sushi quality is good but preparation and presentation are wildly inconsistent with each visit.. Memorable mostly for sushi with prep and presentation that is never predictable, so if you have a favorite you may get something completely different the next time you order the same item on the menu. This is due to kitchen staff issues with seemingly nobody in charge of making sure of quality and presentation consistency. Desserts were always a lowlight but seem to be getting worse with first-week culinary student level presentation. Nice bartender, locally owned, but in need of some help so quality and consistency meet expectations at these prices.
Four of us went to Mohegan Manor for their wine and food pairing dinner. The presentation was delightful ,yet professional. I felt that the whole experience was well executed . The chef would come out himself and explain the dish he had just prepared and even where the fish was resourced from and when. The waiter was well seasoned and knew the wines well. I can't wait to go back and do that again.
This was not our 1st trip Mohegan Manor. The food was always very good. This trip we did a wine tasting with dinner at Club Sushi afterward. While the wine tasting was good, dinner afterward was not what we hoped for.
Our waitress was not as attentive as she was with the tables around us. She didn't know about the special appetizer that came with the meal for those attending the wine tasting. She seemed put off by us asking about it.
We ordered a sushi platter. It was only fair and that was disappointing.
We had coffee and a slice of cheesecake for desert The coffee arrived in 3 or 4 minutes, but the cheesecake did not arrive until the coffee was gone. (10+ minutes.) Our waitress did not have our wine on the bill when it arrived.
What started as a dinner for two ended up in a Table of 10, Our group stayed at the nearby Red Mill inn and took advantage of the Free limo service from the hotel to dinner where they also provided us a private room to do business and have Dinner, The sushi platter before dinner was a great start, and I had the Lamb entree done perfectly, I particularly enjoyed the coffee served in the largest cups I ever saw.
The Osso Buco was small, hard, dried out, and over cooked. The calamari were also hard, dried out, and over cooked. The eggplant didn't taste good, and the pasta that came with it was under cooked and starchy. The service is spotty. From the time we arrived until we got our last dish was two hours. We even had to wait for our soups and salads. The soup was delicious, but was a TINY portion. Considering how small the portions are and how long it takes, people may want to eat before they come.
The food and wine were fantastic. The bartender makes a great drink and a generous pour. The chef did a great job and his menu has something for everyone! The wait staff is friendly, courteous and very attentive without being an interruption.
I was so looking forward to a wonderful experience and sad to say, was not impressed. Compared to the online pictures, it could use some updating as it smelled musty, particularly the bar area, was in need of a "refresher." The food was just ok, but not comparable to other similar restaurants. Our waiter was outstanding! He reminded us of a younger, milder Robert DeNiro! Sorry!
Overall food and service were excellent .The menu was hard to read as the print was so small. Some dishes could have had a better description. We would have liked more than one salad dressing choice. Also to be able to have dressing on the side. Appetizer were awesome. Everything was presented beautifully.
This was our second visit to Mohegan Manor for dinner. We enjoyed a delicious meal, and gracious service. My osso bucco was tender and tasty; my partner's dinner of lamb was excellent. The dining room was cozy and warm on a cold snowy evening. Mohegan Manor is a perfect setting for fine dining and a quiet, romantic dinner.
A rare find in small town, 13 minutes from downtown on a snowy night, but the food and service made it all worth while. Starting with a Plymouth gin martini and a half bottle of Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc , and then a sushi appetizer from the Club Sushi at a very warm and inviting lounge area with comfortable couch and Fireplace. It was hard surrendering the comfort when the host moved us to our table in their dining room which also had a fireplace, Salads were included with dinner and fabulous.
I was amazed at half bottle options available, but settled on treating ourselves to an Artemis Stag leap with our Short rib and Osso Bucco selections that were very flavor able and served by our male waiter who was excellent from start till end
I just love this place. Very few restaurants impress me, but Mohegan does! I just wish they could build one in Camillus!
The dinner was wonderful and the service exemplary.
I've never been to Mohegan manor and our main motivation was to hear Grupo Pagan playing. We loved the character of the place, the waiter was great, and the food was excellent. The mushroom soup was out of this world! Definitely will be coming back!
Excellent meals. The vening we were there a group at the ajoining table was a bit loud, but not unbearable. The setting is quiet and could be good for a hushed atmosphere. Prices are a bit on the high side, but very good overall as an occassional stop (maybe not weekly, but monthly - by my standards).
Server was very helpful and pleasant - givng 5 stars overall for the experience. They were a bit rushed at times as tables all seemed to be receiving food at about the same time. Waited for first course were slightly long, and entrees were brought out by manager to avoid food getting cold - but great staff overall.
Overall great experience. We plan to return and explore the wine list (we were with a "dry" group for our visit).
Love the consistency. Had a great experience as usual
