Food was excellent beer was awesome. Our server was grest
Dine LA Review:
Brussels sprouts - undercooked, difficult to digest
Crab cakes - delicious
The Big Mohawk burger - excellent
Cauliflower steak - undercooked, hard to cut
Cookie pie - odd, like cornbread with five chocolate chips in it
S'mores - smaller version of the dessert, marshmallows cooled too fast in porcelain dish
Service was great but food was sub par. I think the kitchen was having an off day. Sent the steak back for being raw (it was even cold) and it came back over cooked. Other dishes were OK but very oily. Again, it could have been an off day.
Great re-use of a historic building. Nice menu. Food was good.
Mohawk Bend is beautiful - went for Saturday brunch and it wasnt too crowded or loud. Bloody Mary was a little too spicy. Food was good but not unique enough to justify the price in my opinion. Service is great.
Overall an awesome time
Took a friend here for brunch and we ate and enjoyed the atmosphere so long we cut well into 2 hrs. .the other guest must have felt the same because no one seemed to want to leave. I love the fireplace & portion sizes. .see you soon Mohawk 😊
Really enjoyed the meal and the experience here. Vegan dishes better than non-vegan but still good overall. Would definitely come back for those artichoke “crab cakes” and the Garden cocktail. Excellent!
This was a great find! Came here on a few recommendations and it did not disappoint! Staff was very friendly and food was delicious! My (non vegan) boyfriend got The Big Mohawk and I ordered the vegan pepperoni pizza. The big Mohawk was incredibly satisfying and the pizza was huge. I expected a personal pizza but it could’ve fed both of us with the appetizer... we got the popular buffalo cauliflower. The sauce was on point and we were both very impressed with the food. We’ll definitely be returning!
Company had a great time. Thank you for the amazing service
The fennel sausage pizza was delicious. The hostesses were a little unfriendly—I think one was a trainee so perhaps it was nerves, but there were multiple times she tried to seat someone directly next to my table in a rather empty restaurant. Both parties asked to move elsewhere as their table was against a pillar and only a few inches from mine, making it a tight squeeze. I think we all felt it was a little silly to have someone there at 6pm when the place wasn’t even half full yet. The awkwardness of seating was off-putting; I don’t know if it would deter me from returning but it’s something to note.
Special booking all the way from Melbourne Australia
This is one of my favorite restaurants in echo park! Try their buffalo Cauliflower!
Went here for Sunday brunch for me mum's bday. Chill. Patio, indoor low light, and back area moderate lighting. We sat in the back. Nice and relaxed. Solid portions. Fun dishes that taste great. Kind waitress.
I LOVE Mohawk Bend for lunch/dinner. But I was VERY disappointed in the breakfast brunch selection. I had a table of 12, and No one was over the moon about any of their food. We RAVE about the dinner menu tho...specifically the chickpea dish, the vegan Sausage, and the french toast. We tried to love it...but it just didn't compare to the yumminess of dinner.
Beat vegan pizza ever! Vegan menu is great, if you are a vegan or if you are not go here drink beer and eat the best food.
Great vegetarian options are enriching even if you're not vegetarian.
It shouldn't be described as "gastropub", it should be described vegan restaurant/bar
I love this place! A lot of seatings, the happy hours menu is great and so many different kinds of craft beer! We were there on our way to Dodger’s game and we had such a good time!
Birthday for the wife
Great vegan options. Loved the neighborhood and vibe.
Great happy hour and great food!! Will have to go back soon! Pizzas are so good. Great deals on drinks and some of the menu for happy hour. Cool ambiance inside. Outside seating as well.
ALWAYS LOVE EATING AND HANGING OUT AT THE BEND. GREAT CASUAL ATMOSPHERE. OVERALL GREAT PLACE. AMBIENCE. SCENE. THE BUFFALO CAULIFLOWER IS A MUST.
Met here because it was close to Dodger Stadium & we were going to the game. Food choices were pretty good. Not many people there for an hour before game time so not sure why??? Definitely a place for the under 40 crowd. Coffee wasn’t good & only offered very hot & spicy Bloody Marys so I passed. But the vodka & OJ was tasty. Worth a try.
Great food. Great service. It was joint birthday for me and my dad, everything was perfect appetizers to dessert. Love the amount of vegan and regular foods, not enough places accommodate both diets with stuff you actually want to eat, let alone be delicious. Stellar spot.
Thank you, food and customer service was awesome!!!!!!!
We had a party of 7 with 2 energetic children. We had a large space that allowed an opportunity for the 3 year old to dance to “Boogie Shoes.” The waiters were pleasant and the food was delivered in a timely manner. Our vegan participants were delighted with the options offered.
Lovely server and delish food. Service was great and love the space. Will be back!
Service was bubbly but not intuitive or attentive. Food took forever coming out of the kitchen even though it wasn't busy, and quality was poor. Switched to the bar after brunch and service was outstanding. Good for drinks and pretty cocktails, but NOT a place for great food.
one of my favorite places to eat in LA. Great food, not even vegan and I love their vegan food! And extensive beer collection. A must hit.
Service was standard. Not all staff can be happy all the time I understand but our server clearly wanted to be elsewhere
Mohawk was great this time, as it was the last. I have to admit though, I like to be seated in the back room, as opposed to right next to the hostperson.
Good drinks and beers, but the food was mediocre. Our taco’s corn tortillas were dry. The chicken in the fried chicken sandwich was not moist and the breading was completely falling off. The dessert was not good. The waiter told us it was blueberry cobbler and it ended up being nectarine. The fruit was underripe, lacking any sweetness and the crust was burnt in some places and undercooked in others. The ice cream was good, but failed to salvage the dish. Wait staff was very attentive and helpful.
Had a nice family brunch. Food good, service was a little slow. One guest didn't care for their meal and the server was able to get them an alternate and didn't charge for the alternate or the original meal which was very nice. Alternate just took a long time to come but they were very busy. Would recommend they add valet parking for Sunday brunch as parking was indeed a big hassle.
Excellent food served by friendly attentive staff. Thumbs up!
We have a new favorite place. Great food. Love the idea that the menu says that the selections are presumed to be vegan. If an item is not vegan, only then is there a notation. Great service. Fun atmosphere.
Fun place to watch the World Cup Game and get good food. Also, glad they were able to accommodate our baby with a high chair
Always delicious, server has been there for years and luckily she was ours again, lots of options, especially for vegans, back room is my fav but long shared table and bar area seems fun too.
*buffalo cauliflower is #1
Relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Food was good, although some dishes a touch on the expensive side. Staff at the door seemed unorganized and even with a booking we had to wait for our table. Overall a good place for a meal.
